I try to explore everything before moving on with the main story and I stumbled upon this path. Thing is, going backwards through the castle, the boss doors are blocked off.
Just died to that boss and can’t go back in the room because it got bugged is that boss mandatory is there another entrance to another room inside that boss area with a rare item? 130 hours feel like a waste experiencing bugs like this it kinda makes me want to quit or start new game plus to fix the issue I don’t really want to because I feel like I’m already half way done with the dlc.
Couldn’t figure out how to get to hippo I cleared it from going this way and couldn’t access the hippo a second time from the fog forgot I entered the castle from the back 😅
This is crazy. Why would anyone skip this boss fight if you consider skipping this boss fight then good luck on all of the other bosses this is the second main boss in the game.😂

Imo the Golden Hippo boss is worth beating. You get 200 K runes, a good incarnation spell, and 2 Scadatree seeds.

I ran into this boss unexpectedly, wasn't prepared and lost. Trying to go back to him, and it doesn't let me go through the fog! Glitch?!

The hippo is not that hard. Seems a lot easier than making this trek.
The point is that it exists. It wouldn't be helpful in a normal playthrough
