@@ised-5239 hey dude im a Mandolin player, you are replying to the wrong person, Alan Floyd asked the question, I answered it and you joined in making zero sense.
@@@bluetoes591 - I know but it sure looks like one of those small mandos. I wish I had my Tone Poems CD booklet here so I could say it looked like an LL F4 or something. Like Sam Bush's mando, isn't it called Hoss? When I see the shots of just her playing it looks like she is a munchkin. It just looks so funny.
Great to see an "official" version of this instead of the bootleg. One of my very favorite performances.
Everyone so talented....
Awsome ! Bill would be so proud of where you took that !
I love this so much! We'll be going to Grey Fox for the first time this year, can't wait!
Get it!
Looking at Sierra here, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Billy Strings in terms of technical mastery and joy of the music.
No disrespect but Billy wishes...
@@adambenigni5626 Agree!
Exactly, Sierra is definitely one of the young up-and-comers on the bluegrass scene today! And she's got excellent back-up here.
I love Billy but Sierra is a bit more polished.
Love that big gibbo mando!
Thanks for turning me on. Joy of music....when played with such skill it truly a Gift🎶🎶💙
Wow, that was amazing!
Best wishes from Less Than Face Productions.
You got great audio on this.. bass and fiddle nice and woody. Great “chick” sound of her octave mandolin. It really sounds like a hi hat.
🎇🎊🎪Always was so much fun! quite the 🎁
🎆🕺🐐🧗♂️💨🦨🌼🌺Go~Sierra! GO! *Yeah!* 🌹🚛💞🎶🎧😄🎸🎻🔊👍#4👀#11 !
Still have those emoji skills I see😄😄🎶🎶😆
Anyone recognize that model of Ibanez the guitar guy is playing?
Siera is the real deal
Sierra.
Is that a really big mandolin or is she really petite?
Well she is, but that's an Octave Mandolin. Larger than a regular mandolin and tuned an octave lower.
Wow, I never seen or heard anyone play a Chello like that!!
These guys are rad!
That's a Double Bass not a Cello.
@@musiclover9361 cool. Thank you for clarifying for me. I love music & don’t ever want to be in the dark about what I am seeing or hearing
@@outlawliteratureart1887, you're welcome. Music lovers of the world unite.
This sounds like crossover of bluegrass and jazz - like, bluejazz? Anyways, great performance!
Oh right like a new kinda grass
You nailed it: nugrass. That's what it is.
Who is the guitar player?
OK, Sierra Hull on Octave Mandolin, Ethan Jodziewicz on bass -- who are the fiddle and guitar players?
Christian Sedelmyer on fiddle, Mike Seal on guitar
Is that a Gibson octave mandolin?
Weber
Guitar player plays like Mark Knopfler.
Mike Seal. Very, very talented guitarist.
Thanks, I was trying to figure out who that was. @@RobGale
Is she playing a Mando Cello?
octave mandolin
@@richardisaacash6037 Maybe so, but it seems to be lower than an octave Mandolin.
Richard Isaac Ash Octave mandolin aka tenor mandolin. And the normal mandolin as in the bluegrass band is the alto mando ones.
The mando cello is tuned down a fifth below the octave mando

She sure is small compared to that mandolin.
"from the days when giant mandolins roamed the earth..." David Grisman quote
It's an octave mandolin, but she is pretty tiny.
