I saw this one fully uncut from Filmnet movie channel, must have been sometimes 1995-1996? This was cut to pieces here in Finland on VHS. But boy, did my jaws drop when I got to witness the Euro version for the first time. As a whole, I must have seen atleast five different versions. Truly a pure classic from the golden era of 90's 👌

I have the workprint version... it's more violent and bloody... couldn't show in theaters...its hard to find... doesn't suppose to exist... but I found it! Its longer and has waaaayy more action
The Killer was overrated. It was corny how they were best friends all of a sudden calling each other runt and shrimp head. And the blood and violence was way over the top. Story wasn't that great either. I did like Better Tomorrow, havnt seen Hard Boiled. As for van Damme movies, take your pick 1988-1996. Somehow van Damme nailed that perfect action cheese every time. I love them all. If I had to pick a favorite I'd go with Bloodsport but I also like the bigger budget films like Universal Soldier
If you like/love this movie read The Most Dangerous Game. Short story written by Richard Cromwell, c. 1907 (I think) The first story about man hunting man for sport. Helluva a read.
I always wondered how jcvd wored tight jeans in this movie and yet can deliver those kicks without jeans tearing now I understood there’s such a thing as stretchable jeans 😂
It is incredible how sometimes the American public and critics are stupid, they did not like this masterpiece unlike the European public and critics who considered it one of the best action films ever made, Woo with this film marked a style then copied by other directors, he concentrated all the techniques he used in Hong Kong mixing it with his favorite genre the western, due to the failure of the film in the USA the director tooked the blames that didn't exist
the action scenes in Hard Taget are great but the only problem i have with the action is that they should of put action scenes with Jean-Claude Van Damme shooting and killing bad guys during the first act and second act of the movie.
