      Yes..
      Yes, you can.
      And, it works.
There is only one present, beside other presents.
Not ahead, or behind, other presents, those are illusions.
      BESIDE.
Every moment you slip to the side, and reality collapses around you.
Probability becomes Possibility becomes Reality, the current present.
That ahead and behind is to the side, there is no ahead or behind.
When you take that step "forward", collapse that probability, it collapses and becomes in that direction.
The "past", insofar as it exists, is mutable, and is always collapsing to arrive at the current present.
You manifest laterally, to the current present, and the illusion of the behind and ahead collapses again.
It need only lead to the probabilities of the Current present.
Probabilities of 'previous'(other/beside) presents need not be referenced.
      Mutable.

When we wake up out of a dream, we realize, well that it was just a dream.
As we dream, we think this is real.
Even if you fly in your dreams and strange things happen that outbounds the rules of physics, your mind still will keep this as the ultimate reality.
When you wake up, you are sometimes sad, you are sometimes happy that it ended and you realize it all was just a made up "thing". But then again there one can realize the power of the illusionary mind. The mind can create worlds for you to life in with persons and events that can think, act and behave as normal and you would believe it as reality itself. Now comes the fun part:
The dream you are living in is quite almost the same as the one you dreaming at night, its just a bit longer.

Same here. I'm guessing it's because it is just the truth, but we will never allow ourselves to fully know it. Otherwise the whole thing would be ruined. Just like someone spoiling a movie, or even the actors in the movies being like "well it's just all fake, it's all play; so we might as well stop it". Imagine Russel Crowe doing that during Gladiator, we would have never had the beautiful story. It's all drama and for as long as we're alive, we will be inclined to be involved in it. Maybe, from the moment we die, we will immediately realise how silly and beautiful it all actually is. Like quitting a video game and returning back to you peaceful room, where everything is just fine and there is no danger whatsoever.

What if I chose to; during the 70 year dream, to dream another 70 year dream, every night of that dream, and so on and so on. Before I knew it, I would be in multiple upon multiple dreams, one within another within another. Now waking up from the original 8 hour dream, would that collapse all other dreams within that certain set? Or would you just continue outward like dominoes. Are we part of a never ending cycle of dreams, all coming from the original dream maker? ...... Nah .. silly rabbit, That is the movie "Inception" .. or is it???

    • @frankanne1995

Define "dream". I think it is a poor word to use because it made you doubt yourself. Perhaps we are not in fact "dreaming", but rather existing in a never ending cycle of "lives". Basically, there's no difference between a dream and reality. At least we are not able to tell the difference.

God is eternal and blissful. What fun is that? - Being aware that all that exists is you. So god made himself appear as a dream - an illusion. He did so to forget himself ..to forget who he is...to forget that he is eternal. This makes life exciting..thrilling ...having a limited life with death in your mind - this makes experiences feel worth it...we make it count. This is what life is. To forget who you are. But one day you wake up and realize what it all is. I’m at a time now in my life where I enjoy this play but always know that it is all but just a playful dream.

A good while ago I went through a dark time I'm my life , so dark that no dreams at night were better than the daytime experience. After some time the problems that I had during the day ended but a feeling of guilt snuck up on my mind and when the days kept getting calmer and nicer my dreams kept getting darker and more horrible, so horrible that every day I woke up for 6 months I would say to myself having just woke up: I'm so relieved this was just another dream. After some time during those months life was so calm that it began to look like a dream and the horrible dreams reminded me of the past reality. It never escaped me. It made me think that life is not real if you are not suffering. Now I am mostly ok . Many years have passed and my dreams are peaceful and my life is as calm as I want to see it.

I hope people understand that this is a metaphor. Alan Watts isn't talking about God in the sense of being able to control everything and being able to will things into existence. Some quacks like Deepak Chopra have taking this pantheistic idea of God and claim that you have supernatural powers. This isn't what Alan Watts is saying. Think about how we as a people always want control of everything. We want to be God in the sense of having control of everything and making everything go right but the problem with that is that life would be incredibly boring if we lived forever and we were always happy. So then we think about how we would love to live an adventurous life filled with danger but then even that would become boring because if you always slay the dragon then there is no sense of danger it's just you always slaying the dragon. Then we have the actual reality that we exist in. We can die, we can lose all our money we can experience the worst pain imaginable but this is what makes life so amazing. The fact that we can have such intense experiences that can make us cry, make us scared, and make us happy. We are God and there is no external reality because there is just this universe and not some sort of afterlife like heaven or hell. We are the ultimate reality because we are the universe.

    • @TheTylerRobison
      @TheTylerRobison 10 лет назад +5

Chopra is no "quack". All of his theories are backed by scientific facts. He is merely trying to help open our minds to the limitless potential that exists within us. If you ever actually read any of his work you would know that. None of his work has mislead me into thinking I have super powers. It is a proven fact that meditation can slow the effects of aging, if our minds were conditioned to be used to their full potential instead of being constantly told that we are incapable and that we are so weak and limited. Perhaps we could heal ourselves. Narrow-minded people like you ensure that we never move forward because you put limitations on yourself that don't have to exist. Anything is possible. There are things I read about in his 1993 book about Quantum Healing that scientists are proving true today. Is that 'quackery' to you? Sometimes a little faith and positivity is all it takes to give you that extra edge. Cancer patients with negative attitudes are far less likely to survive than those who stay positive. is that quackery or do you think our outlook may play a small role in our body's effectiveness at healing?

    • @AgainstNihilism
      @AgainstNihilism 10 лет назад +2

Tyler Robison "Quantum Healing" Yeah if you were to ask any actual scientist about quantum healing they would tell you Chopra has no understanding of quantum physics. In fact look at the video where Leonard Mlodino the actual physicist is talking to Deepak Chopra. Look Deepak Chopra is just a quack that wants to sell his new age views and he tries to put them under the guise of quantum physics so that it sounds scientific and backed up by science but it's not. You're not going to find any physicist agree with the stuff he has to say because it's not anything rooted in reality.
I agree that cancer patients are more likely to survive if they stay positive but that doesn't mean that positivity is the cure for cancer. All it shows is that we just shouldn't give up hope if things are looking down.
He clearly shows signs of aging and he doesn't seem to be any kind of expert of reversing aging. It's not going to be Deepak Chopra that finds the cure to aging less it's going to be western medicine.

I don't know what to make of this, or life. It's scant comfort if you're unhappy, as I have been for years and years. Paint on the face. Then you watch this, and even if this is chosen, it doesn't compensate. I'm still stuck here, living this, possibly for another 50 years for me. The only thing left are my parents whom I love, but they will get taken. Then I am left alone in a meaningless world. I feel like I want to go home somewhere, I dont know where it is. All the while we have to watch those living the fantastic reality, the famous, the attractive, the wealthy. While others get "lessons". Winners have more fun, and human nature means they stamp on your face while doing it. Even if we begin again, its not me. It's someone else. Life must be even worse for the disabled etc. The more I study Alan Watts, I am struck by the truth, but I also am struck by the unfairness of the world, and the pain of having to experience the world inside this perspective as opposed to another's. Some lives aren't much fun to lead.

    • @themariusnos

We live for the small moments. We live to be memories. I two live a weird life ,filled with interesting stuff that I cannot do anything to change or control to have for myself. You will always depend on another's opinion of you. You must instead learn not to be afraid of loneliness. I've fallen in love as many times as I've been refused. But has it ever been really hard ? No, not really. I'm 27 now and afraid that I don't know how what and why do anything next. It's like I've tasted chocolate only once and I crave it until I die. Could I love without it ? Yes . No doubt. But life is so much more interesting when you suffer for everything. You're just clinging on to people. You must find feelings and memories. New dreams. Do you think you know yourself that much to say that you were meant to have a clear path? Would you take it if it was that clear and concise? Wouldn't it be more fun just to take another small step in the wrong way. Just out of curiosity.

To understand this fact, Niels Bohr introduced in 1923 the Complementarity Principle: simply put, every component in nature has a particle, as well as a wavelike character, and it depends only on the observer which character he sees at any given time. What if? When we sleep a part of us goes some where else or to multiple places, which in part produces some of our rather odd dreams, the mind wandering the existence when its free to do so when we sleep, rather than just playing back a contrivance of previously experienced events. Just wondering for now, just a thought, all be it a bit of an odd thought.Taking a trip but never leaving the farm (so to speak). Thinking of you.

What is your definition of mind in this case? If its our brain then no it does not travel anywhere else we dream. But our consciousness now thats interesting. We are dictated by Our superconscious aka unconscious mind, (I believe it should be called superconscious rather than unconscious because it dictates our lives)

  • @jcd3869
    @jcd3869 3 года назад

So God is inside each of us-- as manifestations of the one conscious universe. We spend our time distracting ourselves with all the human created definitions/labels of what "I" am----a doctor, lawyer, priest, trashman, good, bad, loser, winner, atheist, catholic, buddha, a success, failure and miss that which is inside of us all along=loved by God for no reason except we are his/her/its child. Buddhism calls it emptiness or shedding all the thoughts and finally we get down to the bottom of the empty cup=our true self=a piece of God. Boy this takes a lot of pressure off and makes life just happen naturally. Thanks Alan, Buddhas, Hindus, Taoists, Christians, Muslims and all others I think all have one common thread underneath the human defined parts ;) The present moment void of any human ideas/content/thought/definition=God.

I get it totally, but for some reason when i fully went inside myself and thought 'i am God', it scared the shit out of me. The only way i can accept it after dwelling on it and going over it so many times in my head is that i was seeing it through my eye's as an individual and it was confusing. How can we be lonely if there was never anyone else, and how can we have fear, if we are capable of creating it, we are capable of eliminating it also.

This video, together with lots of the comments here, sums it all up. Of course the implications of the idea behind this video (and behind Alan Watts' philosophy) will upset many who have other idea's about life, reality, the after life, etc., but that's just because you have already reached the exciting part of your dream, while 'they' are still acting out the introduction. By the way, the vast and overwhelming implications of the idea that there is no real reality are only a problem for that part of you that 'needs to know', that bases its choices/actions upon facts and knowledge; that's why you can only get to the exciting, fulfilling part of your dream by following the desires of your heart :-)

up to 00:34 is what God intended for us, and what evil has robbed of us. No blood ever has to be shed (simply God's way of saying you can't have anything without them) for life to be perfect. Heaven, the utopia that God created for us is right here. And the cost for this gift is nothing but a stipulation, in order that we may maintain and keep it!

Awesome.. ❣️❣️❣️🙂that’s true. God created all of this / us little gods and goddesses, because in a sense he would b lonely / there would b no purpose just to exist. We r his fuel ...
I remember after my OBE I was in Heaven with our creator in pure bliss ... didn’t want to come back. Was told that I have to. After a while I had a profound realization - I thought - would I b happy sitting on this throne in this bliss with powerful heavenly music and love doing nothing?? Being in this extasy all the time?
And realized - It was an Epiphany that - o God I said - I would b so bored after a while... lol

Mike G Indeed. I responded when I was very drunk. I've been headed down to the bottom for the last 22 years and have decided that it is time to start the ascend. The past is holding me in misery, it is time to start moving forward and up.
Your post linked me to this video at a very uncanny moment. I've started to notice over the last two years a lot of synchronicities. I always chalked them up to simple coincidences and ignored them. The more I become aware of my reality the more open I am to the possibility that this world isn't what it appears to be.
I am starting to finally see the indoctrination and propaganda in our societies that have generally been misguiding us for the last 5700+ years. I am more inclined to believe that this reality is a deception and or illusion. That is what originally brought me to this video.
The only thing I am certain about is my consciousness. Everything else is open to interpretation. I have been taught by my parents and our social structure that if you can see it or science can prove it then it most be real. But if the people who created said science are lying or have twisted the truth due to an all controlling oligarchy then who is to say what is real and what is not?
A great deal of our knowledge has been warped. How much do we really know? I know what the ruling class wants me to know. The same goes for my parents. I was a blank slate coming in to this world like everyone else. When I tried to show my true colors society shot me down and imprinted the ruling classes ideals on me.
I use to see energy beings as a child. Science deems that impossible while religion deems them demonic or angelic in nature. I say they're life forms. We are kept from developing this skill for one reason or another and eventually most forget how to use said ability. Those life forms have always been on the edge of my consciousness keeping me curious. I can no longer accept that something I was born with is considered evil or none existent. I know what I saw. Those things are very vibrant in my memory.
While I was drinking I was losing hope and was about ready to just let it go. And then your post showed up linking to this video. I thank you for bringing me back from the edge. I cannot leave yet, I have to stay here for my family. Even if they are just a reflection of my self. Whether that is true or not I do not know, but it makes more sense to me then a lot of things science tries to indoctrinate you with.
Take care Mike; and thank you again. I needed You that night and you delivered.

If you like we can add each other to the Google+ circle and chat through the hang out option. You won't have to worry about prying eyes, at least not from the average Joe/Jane.
Unfortunately the internet was created to weed out trouble makers. We are data mined (spied on) whether it be RUclips, Yahoo mail, a porn site, Toys R Us or some private website.
All our phone calls are monitored as well as spending habits, medical, education, likes and dislikes. They essentially know who we are, what we are and what we like doing along with the patterns of our daily lives.
We have RFID or rather tracking chips in our cell phones, credit cards and various other sources. The average 4 way stop light in my home town has 6 cameras. Most stores are layered in cameras and now they are convincing people to install cameras in their own homes. My Uncle did it for his "protection."
They are installing smart meters all over the country. These meters have the capacity to monitor and turn on and off equipment in side the house at the push of a couple buttons. You could also script a monitoring computer to do all of this automatically thus cutting the human element out completely. Spending too much time watering? Your water gets shut off and you are fined. Reading something the people in power don't want you to read? Your connection is lost or the television/monitor is shut off.
In short Big Brother is quite real. It has slowly been introduced over the years. A lot are either in denial or oblivious to the system. Some accept it and others don't see a way to stop it.
This system has been in the works for nearly 6,000 years. The ruling class has been fulfilling Bible prophecy. I cannot tell if Armageddon is being fulfilled through the media or if there will be a limited nuclear exchange in the future.
Or perhaps something natural occurs every few thousand years that is predictable but the ruling class has kept it a secret from us in order to control us. It would be like a shaman or elder that knows that angry fire God coming from the heavens is just a falling rock. But his people don't know that so he uses there fear and ignorance against them to further his goals.
The United States, Britain, Rome and various other empires are nothing more then tools for the ruling class. They all belong to the same group that has been ruling us for thousands of years. Maybe longer but they stop the history at a certain point so its nigh impossible to figure out. I can't tell if the world is being slowly turned in to a single empire over thousands of years. Or if the earth is already the empire the ruling class desires. Keep us separated by Nations, Races, Religions and a plethora of other methods.
The major religions look to all be the same religion. But with enough indoctrination and changing of the scriptures they have convinced the majority that their religions are unique. Thus creating segregation and very dangerous numbers of fanaticals in each group. It is actually an ingenious system to keep the control to a *_very, very, VERY_* small number of people in power.

I know someone who went to Burma for 6 months to become a monk. He has a blog called "fratty monk", if you care to check it out and read his experience becoming an ordained monk. Anyways, he says that the master monks will talk about how the real power is what's right in front of you, staring you in the face. It seemed like colorful and cryptic language until he had a moment while meditating, that lasted for about 10 seconds, where he felt that oneness and bliss. Where he was part of the mountains miles away.
I think it's interesting that this is a real phenomenon, recorded by many people, yet it doesn't get any attention. It also begs the thought that this is the existence that these master monks spend most of their time in. What that feels like is impossible for me to imagine.
