Flow trajectories create stunning visual representations of the fluid flow patterns in SOLIDWORKS Flow Simulation CFD study results. Select the parameter of interest for colors and modify the trajectory display as spheres, arrows, lines and more. Selecting the reference to create flow trajectories can have a big impact on how the trajectories are displayed because not all fluid flows to every part of the domain. Select components of interest, inlets, outlets, or a plane that passes through the zone of interest. Trajectories will be drawn upstream and downstream from a collection of equally spaced points on that reference as if the fluid particles themselves carried a GPS tracker. Limit the trajectory length if needed when a vortex draws excessively long paths that make it harder to see results or longer to process.
