@@reyfetsalmo3346 Like easily 10 years if not a bit longer. They're low production cars also, so regulations don't hit them nearly as hard. ICE is here to stay for the foreseeable future. Make a lightweight EV supercar, with low weight and good range, is just not possible right now.

This really seems like the best and least compromised PHEV super/hypercar yet - it still sounds good, isn’t crazily heavy, has fast recharge times, the electric motors seem to improve the driving experience rather than complicate it and the regen braking doesn’t sound like it’s too bad. Kudos to Lamborghini for getting it right, makes me excited for the hybrid Huracán replacement.
"Fast recharge time" is an irrelevant metric peddled by car makers with small EV batteries, and dutifully regurgitated by car journalists who don't understand. 30 minutes to recharge to 100% is garbage when that only gives you 6 miles of range. Think about it. If another car gives you more miles of range from the same charging station in the same amount of time, it is obviously better even if it's only charged to 60%, or in this case only 5%, of capacity.
@@skierpage i was referring to being able to recharge using the engine in 6 mins - that is handy considering this PHEV is focussed on using the electric motors for performance rather than ev range or efficiency. Being able to recharge so quickly before track driving will mean the battery is fully charged for maximum power on track
@@TheAlexantube doesn't matter. A bigger battery will probably get the same amount of energy from engine recharging in 6 minutes, but it can gain _more_ energy after that.
A "fully charged" small battery is not better in any way than a 60% charged bigger battery.
It seems like the Gemera from Koenigsegg is gonna be 2x better. Twice the seating capacity, twice the horsepower, waaaaaaay more ev range, more advanced torque vectoring, better more innovative transmission, more storage space. But of course it's also like 4x the price 😂😂

Its not just about the increase in HP to come, but the platform has been designed with new aerodynamic features to come to take advantage of it in the SV and SVJ versions......and also roadsters

Honestly, i dont mind the hybridization of supercars.
If anything, the small battery allows you to cruise through the city silently without wasting fuel and i really like that.
Also, i cant wait for custom straight pipe exhausts to come out.

Well it doesn't the range on this isn't even enough for city driving - I think they've had a mare.
The Gemera IMO is the best supercar that will possibly ever be built for that reason. 50 km of range just on electric, 1000 km in hybrid mode, 4 seats and 2300 hp. That 50 km of range means most people could daily drive it.

The fact that the Reuvelto revs to 9.5K RPM, it makes a sound that reminds me of how the Veneno sounds on Forza Motorsport 6. And I loved how that car sounded.
Back then, it wasn’t realistic for the car to sound like it revs that high but I guess now you can say that there now actually is a Lamborghini that sounds like it in real life.
0-60 tied with the Z06, the ZR1 is going to kill it. It’s not even a debate at this point

V12, hybridity, DCT, more space in the cabin - lambo really learned from Aventador gripes. We are lucky to see cars like this these days. Brilliant.

Can’t wait for the SVJ version of this, Lamborghini made a great decision to go hybrid but not full electric now we have faster launch time and stealth mode while not compromising the screaming soul of Lamborghini. Well done Lamborghini this has truly lived up to legacy of the V12 lineup and the Revuelto SVJ is going to be Legendary!

@@ivanuki3555 doubt it bro you’d be surprised, I think it feels a lot more planted and has better grip and power to weight ratio. I could be wrong tho but can’t compare this to an SVJ yet, an Ultimae seems like a more fair comparison. But I hope Gintani cooks up an exhaust for this that sounds similar if not better than their iconic Aventador F1 exhaust.

@@martinapauline4625in such a car infotainment should be the last thing you think about. Driving experience should be at the top of the list. When I was choosing my car 2 years ago first thing I casted about was how well did the car drive. And it was simple D segment saloon. In such hypercar infotainment would be waaay low on the list. True that is nice to have top tier tech but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
I had doubts, not anymore. The fact that they are clearly making fun of PHeVs by hiding everything and basically making it simpler to turn on the engine rather than plugging it in for charging the battery is a magnificent way of making their point, love it. Love the tech too ! Swiping from the main screen to display it right in front of your eyes is a simple but amazing way to get rid of awful menus and controls on the steering wheel. And good lord how are these guys getting away with emissions and sound regulations ? Amazing. Greta must be crying, and that makes me smile. Never been a lambo guy, V10 models especially, but damn since 2-3 years they’re dropping bangers on bangers, this next decade or so of V12 madness is going to be great.
From the murcielago to this beauty, they have all had 217mph as their top speed despite their insane horsepower. The Revuelto can go way beyond 217 with 1,015hp.
Its electronically limited to that speed.
Lamborghini never really ever wanted top speed as their priority...V12 engines in their raw nature can go upto 400 kmph. They are electronically limited to a speed that still is insane...they never wanted their cars to go 400 kmph but I believe they have the goods to make a halo lambo V12 that can go 400...a proper hyper or mega car...quite interesting to see what they have in store for hard-core versions of this

True. Aerodynamics need to support higher speeds, along with the other comment on competing with Bugatti, I would say 217MPH is a "safe" limit for the aero.

I had the incredible opportunity to visit the revuelto production line back in september and the officials at lamborghini said to me that the electric motors were there to comply with the EU laws (so they would be allowed to put a v12) but that they would just put a v12 if it was up to them haha.
But the hybridation was very well done even tho they would prefer to do it without, true car enthusiasts

It still has that V12 Lambo drama but it's just slightly below that of the Aventador in terms of shock and awe, that is when viewing this car as a spectator

@@royshavrick the Huracan, yes. The Aventador not really. It still gave that much awe because of how it retained the looks that the Reventon had which was part of its inspiration. The Jet-fighter design on the front made it look so much more aggressive.
Driving-wise, sure maybe it's tamer than it's predecessor(s). But from a spectator's view, in the end what catches them first and foremost is how it looks. People started appreciating the Huracan after the Performante was released, and when people started to modify the Huracan be it twin-turbo 1xxx+ BHP upgrades or LBW body kits. The Aventador didn't need those to keep its status as a V12 Lambo Supercar
I’m a huge EV fan but grew up loving 80’s hot hatches and supercars and still do. You have to admire the engineering of modern day supercars,although I’d go one better and say it’s more hyper cars at that point. You’d be amazed at how even so small a battery can help with the MPG on a trip. Yes when your on it your going to drain that tank fast but when your not on a mountain pass or twisting B road and just driving more relaxed it will help keeping the MPG up.

This being the first flagship Lamborghini I'm actually here for, the aventador being 12 years ago when I was 5, it's hard to believe I'll eventually look at this like I do the aventador now.

Can't help but feel the current gen of super/hyper cars are all starting to look like eachother. Their unique design cues are erroding over time. That being said, this is a seriously impressive beast!

@@AnonUPS the owners yeah which at the end of the day may be what's more important but I seem to remember journalists such as Chris Harris and the rest saying it was intervening too much at 10/10s, as in you were aware that a lot it going on it its computers trying to keep you on the road, and when everything was turned off apparently it was incredibly hard to drive

@@chadmueller9135 They are using a carbon tub and still weighs 200kg more than a SF90 which uses an aluminium chassis, don't just blame the battery, the V12 is also heavy, remember the SVJ with fluids weighed 1850kg and that was supposed to be the lightweight Aventador.

@@Gochsener It's 200kg heavier than the SF90, massive difference besides the fact that the SF90 is over 4 years old now, the replacement will have more performance.

Why should such a small battery cost $ 120k though? Well, except "because Lamborghini", of course. Batteries with 10x the capacity cost 10x less to replace in the EV market 😂
$120K for a battery? Seems a bit excessive. Even the GMC Hummer EV's monstrous battery won't cost that much.

Revuelto definitely grew in the end to most of us . Even in the beginning where it looked kinda souless and generic it was still badass and angry , now we appreciate it even more i believe ( i still dont rate high the kinda too complex backs lambo is giving to its cars , the og lp700 was the last clean back in Lamborghini i remember) . Performance wise there are not many things to say , over 1000hp , over 350km/h , V12 screaming sound and combined with the latest 2020s technology to compete with other hypercars . It probably kills the majority of hypercars and supercars nowdays
Everyone says a car looks ugly when it comes out, and like clockwork, everyone calls it beautiful a year later. Almost as if Italian sports car designers know what they’re doing.

Tbh i have a feeling that , like the aventador , the upcoming models might be performance better ( not by miles obv) but the looks will be deteriorated. The original aventador looks better than any aventador specification it came after it ( s , svj , j ) , only the sv kept the badass front shape . So i am afraid lambo will also ruin the looks of the revuelto in the new models just to have 10+ hp more or smth like that

Great car but can't help but think how Lamborghini just keeps releasing the same-looking car again and again. This looks like a slightly modified Aventador. Might have to give Ferrari the trophy for their variety in styling.

just wish they gave it a total overhaul like they did from murcielago to aventador. using the same engine, and it looking like it’s still using an aventador chassis, just doesn’t seem like a big enough change.
