I love the idea of storing solar or hydro made electricity by making hydrogen. Hydrogen automobiles could replace gasoline. Electric autos may not in some cases.

How do you feel about hydrogen in comparison to electric cars?

Currently the main source of hydrogen production is natural gas. Also, electricity for electric cars mostly come from fossil fuels. I think a huge power plant is more efficient in producing electricity than any electric generator in your car. That's why there's no commercial power plants using hydrogen to produce electricity. That would be super expensive with no clear benefits to the environment.
