Loreen Talhaoui utklassade hela Europa 2012 när hon vann Eurovision med superhiten "Euphoria". Nu är hon redo för Melodifestivalscenen igen.
Loreen Talhaoui är en svensk artist och låtskrivare. Båda föräldrarna är från Marocko, men Loreen är född och uppvuxen i Stockholm och Västerås.
Hon deltog i Idol 2004 genom att hennes syster anmälde henne till tävlingen utan hennes vetskap. Innan hade hon aldrig stått på scen, och i tävlingen slutade hon på en fjärde plats. Här blev Loreen ett namn, men hon uppmärksammades inte så mycket tiden efter, utan det stora genombrottet kom när hon vann Melodifestivalen och Eurovision Song Contest 2012 med "Euphoria".
Låten har mer än 1,2 miljoner sålda exemplar världen över och 100 miljoner streams. Samma år som segern i Eurovision vann Loreen pris i MTV Europe Music Award för Best Swedish Act, två Rockbjörnar för Årets kvinnliga artist och Årets låt samt blev nominerad i World Music Awards.
Att ställa upp i Melodifestivalen igen var inget lätt beslut för Loreen.
- Jag bestämde dagen innan presskonferensen att jag skulle vara med, och jag tänkte så mycket olika saker. Ska jag eller ska jag inte? Varför? Och så kom jag på att jag har något att säga och skulle vilja förmedla till alla. Och vad det är får ni se i februari, säger Loreen.
Bidraget som Loreen gör comeback med i Melodifestivalen heter "Statements".
- Den handlar om situationen i världen i dag. Men framförallt om att ge folk kraft och inspiration. Det är vad vi behöver i dag, säger Loreen.

Never, read well, NEVER! an entry will be so good. Probably it was not enough mainstream for what melodyfestivalen wants to show to Europe. Probably too political, too dark ... but the quality of the song, the message, the performance, the staggering, the story that it tells with every shot ... It's a f*cking masterpiece.

After SF4, Loreen herself stated and I quote "I don't do this to win Eurovision, I've already done that. I just want to perform this song one more time." I don't think that Loreen cares about winning or qualifying for the final. What she cares is whether her message has a receiver. So instead of bashing Swedish people in every video, I think we all should think about what Loreen had to state while she was making this song. If we understand what she tries to say, it's all good. Loreen would want only this.
Vocals and performance is just brilliant. Loreen should focus on getting an huge international career. THEN , with a lot of fans she should add her artistery, brilliant performants etc. Thats the easiest way to make HUGE impact and really make a difference.
I'm so fkn disappointed that Sweden didn't vote enough for this song to get to the finals :v

Even tho this did not make it... i gotta say that loreen did not need to prove anything and im just extremely happy she was able to share this piece to her fans and once again showed me there so much talent in her beyond the conventional pop show.

Sweden... That country with some of the most interesting options for Eurovision. That country in which most of us would like to live for two months to vote in Melodifestivalen. The country with so many victories that they can even refuse Loreen as a candidate... That country.
Loreen took the massive risk of returning to Melodifestivalen and she embraced it very well, I knew from the start she wouldn't win and although "Euphoria" remains my all time favorite winner and I loved her first album Heal "Statements" left me underwhelmed at the first preview but the live performance blew me away, Loreen has an amazing vocal and the staging does appear to have some kind of challenged message, too alternative for Eurovision and the Swedish mainstream in the end. even if this did pass andra chansen winning in a duel against whoever L would've beat I would've been sure it got similar results Helena Paparizou got with "Survivor" 3 years, good scoring from international juries but not so much on televoting, I'm still a warrior and I'm looking forward to whatever L is doing next and hopefully it's the release of her 2nd album! she does a lot of brilliant humanitarian work too.

Problemet är att det blivit person popularitet istället för hur bra låten är. Med alla ifrån idol och unga killar som har utssendet på sin sida antar jag som får dåraktigt röstande från tonårs tjejer. Så inga andra har en chans så det är inte logiskt tänkande vad som kan vinna utan han ser bra ut jag vill gilla honom.

I love Loreen and her outstanding voice. But despite listening to this song several times i couldnt hear what she was singing. She needs to evolve that. I had to watch video with lyrics to understand. And it wasnt close to what i thought shge sang.

I admire Loreen, but is it just me that thinks the overall performance (meaning girl and singer) is inspired or slightly copied by Sia?
Her song just wasnt televote friendly. You appreciate it ( well if you figure it out ) but you just dont pick up to vote for it. its a downer.

Biggest load of rubbish i`ve ever heard in Melodifest, shes normally got a great voice, why the need to screach like that, I tried over and over to like it but have ended up hating it now, Was a very impressive performance, but she didnt deserve to be in the final. Eurovision winners dont have a god given right to qualify. she was wasnt even top 10 when the songs were released, was something like number 17, that in itself say`s it all.

jasmine kara/gravity & loreen/statements are the only songs with international potential because these songs have are modern sound -
i have heard a lot songs the last 15 years at melodifestivalen but i think loreen's song is the most demanding quality song ever!
it seems the legendary homeland of abba has big failed - the swedish tradition for really good popsongs(like 2012/2015) is broken.
i am so sad.
