Francesco Lodà and Ton Puey single rapier

A rare treat; a competitive single rapier bout between Francesco Loda and Ton Puey, from Briscia Pro Challenge -17. I had the honour to be one of the judges in this bout.
Ton rarely competes, but made an exception for this tournament. He took third place while Francesco took 1st, however Francesco thought Ton should have been in the final and asked him for a competitive bout immidiately after the tournament, which Ton accepted and also won.

This is amazing! It makes SOME other "tournament rapier fights" looks like child's play.
The two masters fight for the win under the rule set but keep very good martial sense when doing so. We need more things like this.
