SEGA should put out a compilation disk for current consoles with all the arcade versions of past racing games. I’ve always wanted to play this game, as well as Daytona USA 2 at home in its proper form. Come on SEGA! 😔
@@maxisproducer I've been emulating arcade version of all these games, along with a driving force GT wheel, sega model 3 like scud race I can upscale to 1440p, has widescreen and forcefeedback support. Worth looking into building yourself a little emulation machine if those games you listed intrest you, along with a decent forcefeedback wheel and there ya have it :) Oh and btw Daytona USA was on XBLA, that also has wheel support and works on Xbox One as well :)

Definite Outrunners vibe to it, though as someone else said the course layouts are shockingly simplistic. It's wild that this was Yu Suzuki's last game for Sega.
Sega should make a Batocera style hdmi dongle featuring all Naomi, Chihiro and Lindhberg games which you can literally plug into the back of smart tv with two xbox 360 controllers. Their late 90s to mid 2000 arcade games are just phenomenal!!
There's something slightly off about the speed sensation in this game. The meter will say something like 150km/h, and it will feel like 100km/h at most. Other than that, everything looks and feels amazing about this game

Just because the presentation is all flashy doesn't make it a good game. The course routes seem to be overly simplistic, almost NASCAR-esque, but without the big crashes.

yeah the tracks were simple, but it almost feels the challenge comes from the handling model instead of navigation

このレースゲームは本当に良かった。当時2008年は湾岸と頭文字Dのアーケード革命ができていて･･･。まぁ今でもそうなんだが。大体車好きな連中はドレスアップと遊びやすさしか目を向けないからねー、そんなこんなで殆どのレースゲームが死滅した中セガ特有のセンスを持ったこのゲームが登場した時は「ありがとう」と言いましたね！近場のイオンにあったんだけど、すぐになくなっちゃったね･･･。今、日本のアーケードレースゲームは非常に面白くないです。また、この様なゲームが世の中に出てくれればと思っています。最近まぁスーパーGTを題材としたセガのアーケードが出て、まさにセガツーリンカーチャンピオンシップたるものの復活や！と嬉しく思っておりますね！でも湾岸と頭文字Dはしねーわ
