Thamuz in exp is a zone monster. He can literally sustain against 5 heroes with ult+vengeance giving time to his allies to get objectives or to back up
Unless if its Uranus or Masha. Those two are annoying as hell because of their counterplay.
But dyrotth and Esmeralda are better in the early game
@@kaito7132 Thamuz counters Esme. His ability to just punish close range sustain heroes is insane. Dyrroth though a tank killer, can easily be screwed over by a well timed Vengeance.

Corrosion Scythe and Thunderbelt are a good item build for Thamuz. Your enemies almost can't escape you with those two items.

All it took was a simple readjustment on his skills that made him get back in the meta. His 1st skill calling back made him able to control to be more aggressive by constantly pulling and slowing his enemies from his much new, better and faster passive. The Extra HP gained on ult made him even more sturdier and thiccer, these readjusted skills truly gave him the Rise of Lord Lava

yup ever since i knew how to make use and take advantage of his skill 1, i realised that it was a “buff” esp to those of us who have played thamuz before his revamp, where we had to either wait for his scythes to come back or we had to get ‘em back. miss the scorch passive tho but still, thamuz is op 😈🔥
his first skill is the most annoying one, him being able to get the scythe's by command is annoying that when i face a thamuz in a lane, i kinda wish they just brought back the burning effect passive instead of the faster passive. That's how annoying homie is rn.

His buff really made his damage wayy better. He can probably also tank now and still hurt because of his insane amount of true damage

I wanted to main him before the buff, but he was too clunky back then, now im having a great time maining him. I just wish they do some similar changes to Alpha since his problems are his passive delay which is basically the same as thamuz
I used to main him for months when he was newly released, stopped playing him after he started to fall off.
@@marvertjaysonneyra457 before the buff, well yeah it's true that thamuz was clunky back then but it's still okay since he's an underdog exp laner, who can secretly punish tough exp laners like Esmeralda, yu zhong, Paquito, etc...
The main issue with alpha is that, ppl didn't know what to do with his build. Also, I'll have to agree with you that alpha's passive needs to be buffed with shorter delay so that he can compete in exp like most meta exp laners.

Thamuz is the perfect example how an actual fighter look like(tough,strong basic attack,sustain,good mobility,some disabling element[skill 1])

Recently I've been playing Dyroth a lot. And he actually counters Thamuz pretty well. I usually build Dyroth full tank with 1 damage item only
Yes and thamuz can counter him as well cuz tank build doesn't matter to thamuz so does dyroth thamuz just need either 1 attack speed item or just full hp with retribution
And dyroth can reduce 75% of armor so it will turn to true damage vs negative armor

Nah, Thamuz can get golden staff,dhs, and 4 defence items. Dyroth stands no chance.
@@dgagamingaesir I guess it depends on the Thamuz player. I still think if u r smart enough u can outplay him with Dyroth. Ofc it isn't easy to do 1v1 with him. I usually change my build depending on situation

If u want to counter him use a vasuc attack hero with inspire, high and dry emblem and demon hunter sword. It melts almost all his health

Elgin u should build corrosion scythe for him, the extra atk speed and stacked slow effect is good for pinning down enemies
idk why nobody played thamuz before the buff, he was already really strong imo, even picked in mpl
Same thing as leomord. They released busted ass side lane heroes like paquito, phoveus, edith and julian so the other side laners became obsolete. Only esme and YZ stayed powerful
@@P.I.M.P. leomord wasnt really picked in proplay though, imo he's pretty balanced, thamuz was actually pretty good and nobody played him for some reason, he stayed in A tier in most tier lists too

His 1st skill should be stopped behind the creep/hero instead of their front, so he can pull them accurately upon retrieving his scythe.
Nah, I think stopping in front of his s1 is okay.
Pulling someone using the scythe takes practice tho. It might be easy to say, but it's kinda tricky since majority of the enemies are just gonna walk away

Use your 2nd to pick up the lamps
And Maintain Distance from your enemy (melee or low damage Ranges)
And spam 1st skill
Don't just keep on using ultimate on 1 person, unless you really have to
Go for 40% CDR item Build
And Spam 1st skill, X-Borg Has a good amount of Spell Vamp with Bloodlust & Festival of Blood Talent

I know how to use him it's just hard to do since there are better and faster heroes that can burst him down
Corrision Scythe is good with his ult now since the ult attack speed boost made him extra fast attacking.
Thamuz buff made him quite overpowered, even Chickn could say he has no counters. A 1vs1 on side lane would be sided to him as the game goes on. In team fights he is a 2nd tank with true damage. The buffs are nice, but I think adjustments should be made to balance it out. This is an honest opinion, can anyone voice out some counters against him besides chain cc?
Edit: I should specify, the counter I meant was any exp laners. Items do count too so for those who gave suggestions already, thank you! I appreciate the politeness.
Who is Chickn? Some idiot who has no experience with thamuz?
Hilda is his best counter in xp lane. She can easily kill him. (2 hit and run ult cycles)
Next is paquito.
Martis also does ok he can hold his lane ,not win it unless he has help.

Dhs + anti-lifesteal? BA relied heroes? And once thamuz enter with his skill 2, it hard to escape. Also thunderbelt to prevent him from escape with his movement spd.
Thamuz has counters and these are:
Uranus - Very hard to lane if the player is experienced
Karina - Thamuz relies much on his Basic attacks, so Karina would be a good choice to counter his true damage.
Anti lifesteal - thamuz is also a lifestealer, so it's a must item to counter him.
And lastly, his late game is really weak. Although he has sustain, items like dhs & Malefic roar can easily burst him down.

Top secret: Taking oracle increases his extra HP gained by ultimate like 1500 becomes 1950 extra HP also if you have golden staff you get triple amount of heal when ult is active
I really like that even if you go for full tank build, if you use Ult you can do some good damage to turrets (If for some reason the Marksman decides it's a good idea to spam recall and not end the game)
Kahit nung di pa naba buff skills niya ginagamit ko na din talaga siya as Jungler Role. As my Main Hero sa ML, nakakatuwa lang na sumisikat na ulit siya at madami nang gumagamit. Para sa akin di siya nawala sa meta, nakakayanan ko pa ding sumabay sa ibang meta fighters sa lane.

Even his initial release before, I've already tried attack speed items such as DHS or Golden Staff. When you cast ulti it’s like you’re using Troll Warlord in Dota. Free turret when enemy hero recalls.
Btw i always use Alice to counter thamuz even he is buy dominance ice and so tanky he is down by me who use Alice but you will got pressed when you are same lane with him so make sure to take stacks carefully and invade enemies blue buff

What are you talking about? I've played Thamuz for years as a tank/jungler, sometimes sidelane and he was very well suited for those roles even before the revamp. And the funny thing is, that the builds that the 'pros' use for him now, I've used all this time long before the revamp.
I started Maining Thamuz after his buff. he's unstoppable in jungle and exp lane. I build him as tank.
Thamuz was Originally an Unkillable Beast with multiple Roles he wasnt used by alot of People since of the Scythe Management being too Complex for him the fact that ML proceeds to add this just shows that aswell
what ticks me off is that they DID NOT ADD RE-POSITIONING on Vexana's Golem or Knight something. It just becomes useless with slow.
The biggest buff here is the ability to get back those scythes.

First comment. I feel bad for valentina nowadays 😭🤣. And speaking about popular heroes I think beatrix deserves a second chance because moontoon is nerfing her quite hard nowadays 🤔.First the developers nerf her early game damage and it scale with her level.
Second they reduced her base physical attack from 115 to 102 and lowerd the lifesteal of her guns by 80 percent.
Now they nerf the sniper,s damage and extended the cooldown of the shotgun and the sniper. Moontoon once again please gave beatrix a chance to shine against not just other op mm also against many deadly meta heroes as well she is a mm that only deserves to be in the highest popularity list not almost in the forgotten list 😭🙏.

@@dr0wn8888 the only nerf she received is on her passive her passive is nerf so bad. I think this Affected her landing ability. But she is still at top of the ban list because her damage still remains the same.
Valentina will stay on ban section forever unless they revamp her ultimate
@@vincentraizen4675 over 6 years. ml community didn't have a hero that can copy ultimates I was expecting when valentina was released why she deserved this she is a great counter to many meta heroes who rely on their ultimate example like yin she is a great counter to yin she deserved to get popular nowadays because of Julian,s released and akai Overbuff there is no space for the players to ban valentina so just pick her whenever she is open.

With previous update, He still got outperform by yin or aamon if you’re looking for a fast pace game and backline killer.
Yeah he got buff but that buff only improve his kit to stay longer and harass harder on lane.

Trust me, thamuz hyper can barely survive. It was fun to troll or experimenting. His kit doesn’t allowed him to deal tons of dmg; only sustain? I would rather use hyper baxia then.
If i were going to utilise his new buff, i would use him to engage enemy buff during early phase; harassing enemy hyper with grock or nata. While letting my hyper farm freely. Ez

I like this kind of buffs, more a thing into mechanics that depends on how good is the player in exploiting them and not a buff that makes strong a hero just by taping a button or increasing their damage stats
I only experience waiting for the turtle to come out when I'm using thamuz because there are no jungle monster left to kill😂
When I see a thamuz an the enemy team when playing guil I usually go tank guin with genius wand and concentrated energy as my 2 dmg items. Works pretty well since guin has 1 thing he doesn't which is hella cc. Sooooooo all I do is keep ccing him while my team eats him up like it's their last meal lol.

Still prefer the Scorch Passive. That's hust me though. Overall, his buff has been wonderful. Not too OP, although I still prefer him with a Hybrid Build of Offense and Tankiness.
My Hybrid Build: Corrosion Scythe, Bloodlust Axe, Dominance Ice, Athena's Shield and Blade Armor or you can go Oracle for more shield it depends on the enemies. Monster Thamuz it is!

Thamuz jungler is good but he is more effective as an EXP laner. He is insanely effective in 1v1 with the constant slow and pull from sk1 along with the true damage. You basically almost never want to approach him melee. He even has up to 3 insurances in case he gets ganked in his dash/ult/spell.
Facing Thamuz now is like facing an Argus with ult
