Is it normal to have some months of enjoying hobbies feeling good kinda mixed with depression but energy is higher and then all of a sudden in a month to fall into depression and not know if its going to go away?I mean I was diagnosed with just major depression but then I wonder how do I feel like 2 different people from months ago if its just major depression....?

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? I had depression my whole childhood but then it started to morph into bipolar disorder in my 20s due to a few factors (childhood trauma, repressing everything, not dealing with anything, etc.). I was all over the place for years in my 20s with my mental health, but it's because I wasn't taking care of myself. I was just ignoring it and hoping it would sort itself out, which it didn't. Once I started getting help, I started learning more how to handle my depressive and hypomania episodes so they don't get as intense or as long. I'm able to bounce back quicker now.
As far as what to do in regards to going abroad - I don't know what coping skills you have, but I find having good coping skills (a lot of which I learned in therapy and just really listening to myself and what I'm needing) and having a plan/routine is very helpful. So when I'm having a bad day or not feeling well mentally, I can follow my routine without having to really think about it and/or utilize my coping skills without having to really think about it too much. And if you really just don't feel like you are in a place enough to handle going abroad, don't feel ashamed to cancel. You don't want to go abroad and then end up being miserable the whole time. It sounds like you should really give yourself some TLC right now and figure out what's going on internally and develop some healthy coping skills that work for you. I find therapy to be an amazing place to start. And don't be afraid to try different therapists, sometimes the first ones you see aren't the right fit. Same with doctors, don't be afraid to try different doctors to find one that actually makes you feel like you're getting help.
Sometimes you gotta help yourself before you can help or do for others. And there's nothing wrong with that! Don't be afraid to be a little selfish and give yourself some love and attention to get yourself feeling better. ❤️

@MarianaFerreira-gu2nn I'm so sorry that you are feeling so bad! That's the same age I was when it started getting really bad and I felt suicidal as well. You need to find an emergency mental health urgent care, or you can go to any urgent care I'm sure, and just get some help to get you stable enough and not feeling suicidal, so that you can then start going to regular therapy and find a regular doctor you can see. You really to focus on yourself right now and get some help. I think you should put the thought of going abroad away for now, and help yourself. Things can get better for you and you can start feeling better, but you have to get help. Don't feel ashamed going to the urgent care for help. There is absolutely nothing shameful about asking for help! Love yourself enough to get some help now, don't wait. Go get help now, like right now. As soon as you read this, go to an urgent care. You deserve to get help, all you gotta do is ask.

@@SarahsDiary77 I’ve told my doctors that I feel the need to stay in a clinic or hospital because I’m suicidal but they declined and said it would only make me feel worse and that I’m too young to go there to a place where there is only people with dementia and alcohol problems…it’s like I’m crying for help to my doctors and they simply won’t listen or admit they had it wrong.I’m from Portugal the health system is different here
