  • One of the early spring bulbs. A great addition to others like Crocus, Daffodil or Hyacinth

I have been trying to grow these.... Do you soak them first? I tried to pre-sprout mine in early spring that I got in fall as it was too late to plant them (I was told) , but nothing came up. I have had success pre-sprouting anemones coronaria?? and ranunculus this way, so I was hoping I would have luck with the Anemone blanda. Guess I will try again in the fall & spring. Maybe I will plant 1/2 in fall & save half for spring & grow them in the container like you & then plant them out. Actually now I think about it I did get some roots, but when I planted them in the garden nothing came up.

I did not pre-soak the tubers when they arrived from K van bourgondien. Just planted several in the pots, covered them about 2x their diameter with the same potting mix. They were kept in a very cool greenhouse (plus 35F) and then watched them sprout in early spring.

@@stevenkristoph6993 ok thanks for the clarification... I don't have a greenhouse... have a detached unheated garage or semi heated basement to work with... I keep trying to see if I can get some to grow this next year
