This is an important project for our national security as well as a good economical project.
India aims to be and is destined to be a superpower and this will only come at the cost of nature. Other smaller countries can be much more stricter but if India does it, we will NEVER get better and will always be poor because the other superpowers will not let India rise easily just because we are good to earth.

I can understand your soft corner for the lobby from your commercial interests however please see the project through the prism of what's happening in our neighborhood, i.e. If you look around in the neighborhood countries in the region have moved ahead on the industrialization while we are far behind despite our fantastic geography which offers great Vantage. What I am saying is there is huge potential for growth that is being denied.
Don't you think that the initiatives by the government haven't taken into account sensitivities et all.
You have a hostile neighbour in China and this project will curtail their hostilities in the neighborhood by pitching us closer to South China Sea.
