Creed is one of those bands that got me into heavier music when i was younger. Never actually met someone that hated them, seems like the haters are all online trolls and posers.
People mock Creed because of the singer. The rest of the band went on to form Alter Bridge w/ Miles Kennedy.
Stapp wrote fantastic lyrics.
Tremonti is awesome live too.
I've looked at pretty much every live performance of "Bullets" and the singer NEVER managed to get the first shout right. He always drops down like an octave and it just doesn't sound right.
Don't write music you can't perform.
@@fonesrphunny7242watch bullets live cpe then comeback to me
And Scott has a great solo career, and when they get back together everytime, the magic is still there
Creed on a reaction channel is a relief. Here I was; I thought the world forgot about them.
People just love to hate em.
@@jinzoslegions that's because they are cowards who only care about trends.
@@insufferablethrashelitist9305 Lol that's what we think of people who like em.
@@hmpz36911 yah it's real trendy to like creed, isn't it.
When they came out they were huge! People liked them because it was legitimately good. No one decided it was the new trend. It just appealed to a lot of people.
A couple albums later, they had softened and were putting out annoying songs like arms wide open and the trend became to hate them. I drifted off to other things and haven't listened to creed for a real long time and this took me back. Their crappy songs didn't suddenly make their good ones suck. And trust me, no one was listening to them because it was cool to do so back in the day.
It kind of sounds like some of you spend too much consideration on what's deemed trendy as opposed to the underlying piece of art itself.
Thats okay if you don't like it, but at least listen to it yourself and be bold enough to have your own opinion.
@@jinzoslegions Just like Nickelback, Guns N Roses, Limp Bizkit, etc. Poser r*tards will always be poser r*tards.
Scott Stapp will forever be one of my favorite singers and Mark tremonti will forever be one of my favorite guitarists.
Me too 🤘
Never listen to the naysayers, listen for yourself, and then make a judgment. In my Opinion, Creed was one hell of a great Hard Rock/Metal band who was labeled grunge because of the time period. Regardless of the feelings, many had for the singer and his christ like posing, when you sit down and listen to the music without pre-judgment you realize they had great songs with meaningful lyrics, they were hugely successful selling 30 million albums in 5 years. Also, They had one of the best hard rock metal songwriters of the past 25 years in Mark Tremonti. They have plenty of heavy songs, What If/ Overcome/, Bread of Shame/Freedom Fighter/ Signs/Weathered/Suddenly/Are You Ready? etc.
I agree
Not metal. Grunge rock at best.
@@bryansimms6245 these guys were far from grunge. They were simply a hard rock band.
I can agree with every thing but the songs from full circle that album was terrible
@@wyldcardsam I like the album
I always enjoyed their song Who's Got My Back. The way the song builds up... one of their best (and most underrated) songs in my opinion!
I agree, the build up is great. Very underrated creed song along with faceless man
Wow finally a reaction channel is giving Bullets some Love... underrated track
Creed is much better than a lot of people are saying.
But that’s just my opinion.
My own prison is still a great album.
Torn and the title track are still one of my favorites. 🤘🏼
One of the most hated bands ever but I still like a lot of their songs. Torn, My Own Prison, One, What If and Are You Ready? are some of my favorites.
Agree. Way unfairly hated.
People who were once huge Creed fans are now like creed sucks. Same thing has happened to Metallica IMO.
@@insufferablethrashelitist9305 If these elitists would just give Load and Reload a chance i'm sure they'd find songs they like. Same thing with Creed.
@@jinzoslegions some people have just simply "decided" certain bands "suck" and that's all there is to it. I especially hate when prominent metal bands trash Metallica. It's like what??? It's okay if you legitimately don't like them (which probably isn't the case) but they blazed the path for you! At least respect where respect is due. I don't love everything Metallica has done, but their last album kicked ass and shit from 25 & 35 years ago still gets me going.
Still love creed ,,,,RIP to those who hate CREED___
I thought that was Nickelback?. cuz they're still around
i still think creed's Human Clay is basically a solid whole album. lyrically and musically. its obviously not the greatest ever, but definitely something to be proud of.
Yeah, it was a great one!
It was one of the best selling records of the decade. 11 million copies sold, won a grammy for the best rock song. So, yeah it was a big deal. Still is.
Yup
@Big Homie Steve The Metal Head Scott is still alive, sober for years and better than ever;) Check out "The Space Between The Shadows", his latest solo work. In my opinion, easily, one of the best rock albums of 2019. I recommend you especially the songs: "Purpose For Pain", "Survivor", "Red Clouds", "Last Hallelujah", "Face Of The Sun" and "World I Used To Know".
Not as good as my own prison
I'm an old school metal head and guitarist and I've always liked Creed and Marks playing. I never knew how good he was until I went to see Alter Bridge and during sound check Mark was just shredding up and down the board. Dude is a phenomenal player. This was around the time Dimebag was killed and Mark had a sticker of Dime on his PRS as tribute. I thought that was pretty cool.
Creed's first album was nothing but fire 🔥🔥🔥
Love this song. Love this album. Thanks for reacting!
Mark Tremonti is a got dayum legend!
Wasn't on this on, left the band already
@@scottflatt9880 Then why does he have cowriting credits with Stapp? He was on every creed album... They just broke up the band twice.
@@scottflatt9880 uhhh what? Lol he was the one that said the band was done. Creed broke up in late 03 and mark started alter bridge right after. Creed reunited in 2009? I believe releasing an album and toured then broke up. Tremonti only "left" the band when they broke up. So idk where you're coming up with that 😂
@@metallicamadmen172 yes, I was wrong, I looked at the wrong thing.
There all Christians but they never said there a Christian band only the media called them that. Watch CREED behind the music on RUclips if you want lol
Human Clay and My Own Prison are excellent 90s rock/metal albums. I think more people are going to start to come around as time goes on.
This song was to all the critics that were nice to their face and writing hate behind their back.
There is no denying they were on top of the music scene in their day.
My understanding of Creed is that Scott Stapp was raised in a very very strict Baptist family, and his father was a pastor. He rebelled in college and a lot of his lyrics came from him trying to sort out what he believed. I remember reading something tmwhere he said he didn't even really like rock music but that's what his friends and eventual band members were into so that is the style he adapted his writing to for lyrics
No matter what anyone says Creed, Nickelback, and Linkin Park put me on the path to being the extreme metalhead I am today. Also, I thought Scott Stapp was explicitly Christian and that inspired his lyrics, but I could be wrong.
He said was. I remember them catching flak for that too.
Not wrong 100% correct big homie
None of these bands are metal....not even close...especially this band!
The metal labeling and branding for bands has been butchered over the years....case in point!
@@realscience948 The claim wasn't, "These band's are extreme metal and are no different from Mayhem or Napalm Death." It was that these bands got me into heavy riffs that led me down the path to metal and eventually extreme metal. Although it is worth pointing out that I found bands like Slayer, Lamb of God, and Meshuggah because I was looking for music by Staind and Godsmack and found the first Headbanger's Ball compilation.
real science agreed but as a metalhead I will at least give this guy Linkin Park, yes it’s not metal, but it’s better than creed and nickelback. But fuck , just grouping Linkin Park with creed and nickelback doesn’t feel right.
Thanks to Mark Tremonti, this was Creed's heaviest song. To me, the lyrics are aimed at the media and the public that scorned singer Scott Stapp, and Creed in general. Initially, Scott lyrics were based on Christian beliefs which brought about ridicule from many critics and the listening public. Ironically, they still sold millions of records. However, by this time, he had started to live the rock star lifestyle and actually got into drugs and other issues. Which brought about another round of ridicule by the public for going against his Christian beliefs. In fact, one of the founding members, the bassist, actually quit the band because of steps drug use. So, I believe this song was Scott defending himself and commenting on how he and the band were being treated at the time. He was basically saying, stop with the backhanded comments, and tell me to my face what you think about me. Then, you were close about him leaving the band, but he was actually fired because of his drug abuse and other behaviors. Several years later, Stapp and Tremonti did record Another Creed album, but since haven't done anything, even though Stapp has tried. Tremonti has Alter Bridge and Tremonti, and Scott is now a solo artist, trying to make a comeback.
I question everyone who says this is their heaviest song. The very next song on the album is just as heavy, if not heavier! (Freedom Fighter, fyi.)
@@schwann145Exactly!
Creed - My Sacrifice
Love that song
You guys have to do My Own Prison from Creed's first album.
Loved this reaction, you can tell they really enjoyed it.
Nice! I was actually rocking out to this yesterday while listening to my Creed playlist... Yes, I have a Creed playlist (and I bought their greatest hits CD when I was a teen). No hate here. haha They were poppin' during my youth.
Yes they were a breath of fresh air when they came out
I love this song!
Creed is goid stuff. I really enjoyed all of their albums. Scott Staap had a lot of issues and that caused the break up, I believe the band is now the band portion of alter bridge and Scott is doing solo material. His solo stuff isn't bad.
Creed’s 1st Two Albums are Absolutely Amazing
Mark Tremonti is the pure force behind this song and this band with that crashing guitar ! It's insane . He has to be one of the greats of this era ! His solo music,
and the pure amazing music with Alter Bridge and Myles Kennedy is a platfrom for everything \m/\m/
Metal lerv from down under !
The armchair head banger \m/ \m/
Creeds 3rd album weathered was some of the heaviest work they did as a band and was really good it shows off the band's ability to kick it up a notch and pretty much led to the formation of Alter Bridge
Well, they also showed that when they became Alter Bridge.
@@jhamilton1007 true but they added a new singer to the fold named Myles Kennedy who was also in the movie Rockstar with Mark Wahlberg and Jennifer Anniston
@@chadjohnson6418 Well ya, that helps. Plus he's also a good guitarist
Creed is a rock band with a few metal songs. I love Creed, especially their first two albums. I recommend Signs or Pity For A Dime next, they're both excellent.
That was their heaviest song, thanks to Mr Tremonti
Creed have some awesome songs. Haters will hate - but this band kicked ass!
Opeth - The drapery falls (studio version) Thank you!
Yes! My favourite Creed Song
Definitely need to do the song What If by Creed. Also if you're going to be introduced to Creed that was the way to do it.
I have a lot of my childhood spent listening to creed and alter bridge...these bands have left a lifetime of memories for me....cant never hate 'em....❤️❤️
Moonspell - Full Moon Madness
Love this song! Great reaction.
Creed was tagged as a Christian band in some circles. I think Scott Stapp (vocalist) dad was a preacher and Scott was often writing lyrics that could be construed to be Christian. He also battled his own demons and wrote about the struggle.
Like it or not, Creed brought hard rock back to the forefront of music. Grunge and alternative rock had dominated the first half of the 90's, and Creed brought rock back. The critics and music media loved to trash Creed. Now that those voices have no power any more, and now that Stapp's antics near the end are out of the spotlight, I think their music will be judged differently and more positively as a whole.
Oh btw ...
That song SLAYED!!!
This song is as metal as it gets!!! Great song!
Yes!!! I love creed. I brought all their albums when i was a teenager. I think this is a great song but i love their earlier stuff..
Just watched y'alls video, Creed is dope!! So fun to wat ch u 2 rock!! love it!
My own prison is an incredible album, would love to see you guys react to it.Creed had amazing music around late 90s & early 2000s.Creed were one of my favorite bands back then, nothing wrong with them.
Sori you need to forever save this reaction, Vin admittedly said you were right not only once but twice!!
Since you have now opened the Creed jar, please do their song One. This crazy country needs to hear this song right now.
I love creed but I’ve never seen this type of reaction to their music while listening I loved it can’t wait for more creed reactions such a great band
I like creed, idk why people hate on them that much, they've great songs
Definately their heaviest song. I love it!
Creed idk I love these guys.
Awesome song. Awesome record. Even though I consider Human Clay to be their best album. A true masterpiece.
people don't even know why they dislike Creed...it just became the "cool" thing to do....they have a lot of awesome songs...would love to hear more
Creed has a lot heavy songs. Tremonti is a great guitarist. I actually love their first album from beginning to end. The other albums are more hit and miss but their last album was actually pretty solid from beginning to end.
ALSO I would totally recommend "Pity for a Dime", "Whos' Got my Back?", "Illusion", "What if?". AND thank you for doing this, Creed was the first band I was legit into, they were the first concert I went to with my dad so thank you for doing this :) They were my intro into "metal".
Creed WAS metal. And they were HUGE.
People who mindlessly hate on creed are just gutless trend followers.
It's okay to have your own opinions, people. You don't have to worry about what's considered cool right now. 🤘
You guys should do yourself a favor and listen to Scott Stapp's new stuff - I got to see him last fall and he was f'n amazing !!!!!! He let the dark side get a hold of him for a while there but dammit he fought back, got healthy and happy !!!! Check out "Purpose for Pain" - it is a solid effort and I for one am happy to see him reemerging from his struggles to be back having fun and kicking some new ass !!!
The rest of the band is now Alter Bridge and they too are the most underrated band w Myles Kennedy !!!! The US has slept on them as a whole because of the whole "ewwwwww CREED sucks" mantra that followed them. They have amassed quite the library of tunes, are one of my favorites and are amazing in their own right !!!!
Your ears are not fooling you !!! Creed has incredible songs - check out some more, you won't be sorry !!!!
"What If"
"Are You Ready?"
"Beautiful"
"Faceless Man"
""Wash Away Those Years"
"A Thousand Faces"
You guys should listen to Motörhead’s I ain’t no nice guy. It really shows the emotional side of Lemmy. Thanks in advance
Creed songs to react:
My own prision
What's this live for
What if
With arms wide open
Higher
Inside us all
My sacrifice
Stand here with me
Who's got my back now
I wish bands in that time period had guitar solos... so many great guitarists were held back
I liked Creed back in the day. A Band I jammed with did My own Prison. I think i recommend Alice Cooper Brutal planet
Best Creed song.
This song got me through alot as a young teen when it came out
Creed has some great music. Check out creeds lullaby song. Look at me when you shoot a bullet through my head, look me in the face when you got some crap to say about me.
Creed’s got a lot of good songs, with lyrics much more thoughtful than a lot of popular bands at their time. Not too mention the singer can actually hit notes and the band can actually play.
They started out as a Christian rock band and Scott stapp has battled with a lot of addiction and mental health thats caused him to question his faith alot in past. Thankfully he's in a better place now. I hope one day he can get back to making more amazing music cause some of the early music really helped me through some of my darkest moments
Yes, the singer is the son of a preacher. He often writes lyrics with religious meaning.
Creed was my favorite band when they were together and they had some incredible songs on their albums.. Most people that hate on Creed are those that never listened to the album's.. They only know them from the radio hits that were played almost endlessly until you hate them.. much like all radio stations even still do today.. But when you actually go through and listen to all their albums they have some phenomenal songs in them! And I'm including the reunion album Full Circle as well.. Good stuff.. If only Scott Stapp could keep himself together.. But I think that bridge has completely been burned now with the other members.. It's cool though cause now we have a even more phenomenal band with Alter Bridge!
Man I love to listen to creed
Creed didn't consider themselves a Christian Band. Scott Stapp (lead singer) used spiritual imagery as a metaphor in his lyrics according to bassist Brian Marshall.
I just did a drum cover of this song a couple weeks ago! 😁
I had forgotten how hard this song hits. If you revisit Creed check out Weathered. My favorite on this album....has a great message.
React to Angra - Carolina IV
Vin Creed is way heavier than you realize. React to Ode or Unforgiven or Torn or Pity for a Dime or In America or Sister. All worth reacting to.
This song was actually on the album after Scott Stapps return to the band after he left to clean up after he got addicted to pain killers from a back injury. The band put out an album with singer Myles Kennedy under the bands name Alterbridge. Sorry commenting as I watch. LOL
ladies and gentlemen: CREEED!! 🤘🤘
Awesome video as always guys .. Creed is solid band Human Clay good album check out “ Say I”
Literally listen to any song from their first two albums (My Own Prison and Human Clay). They're both gold, no skip albums.
Creed have always been a guilty pleasure of mine. So much unnecessary hate for them. Their song "What If" is my favourite.
It was exactly what you guys were talking about in the comments about the hate. The media and many in the public hated creed and talked shit. This was basically theyre talking about the shittalkers.
Creed started out on a predominantly Christian label before coming up to the mainstream a lot of their music is based on a Christian belief but the partying and rockstar lifestyle caught up to Scott Stapp the lead singer of Creed. You should check out some of their other songs to get a real grasp of what the band was about
Chad Johnson - Their label was Windup from My Own Prison through 2001 (their entire career before the breakup). This wasn't really a Christian label, even though it had bands like Creed and Evanescence later. They also had Finger Eleven and some others.
Creed was never on a Christian label. Their singer grew up in a religious home and uses spiritual imagery in his lyrics which is how they got labeled Christian, but they were never a Christian band.
@@jbrashguitarist Right. And the people that desperately wanted Creed to disappear hung that Christianity label on them as often as they could.
Sunshine State. Saw them in 09 at Coral Sky lol only old schoolers remember that name. Stained was touring with them too
Oooohh this should be good, this slaps
Thats a sick heavy riff 🔥

I think bullets is pretty solid.
Those are all awesome songs
Wow 21 likes! In 1 day!I don’t think I’ve ever gotten 21 likes in my life!☃︎☃︎☃︎
This song kicks ass. Tremonti's solo stuff is friggin stellar as well.
Next you need to do "Side of a Bullet" from Nickleback. It's about Dimebag's murder and features a previously unheard Dimebag solo.
Creed and Nickelback are great bands
Every one of those cds kick ass.
When I listened to this before becoming a guitar player, the guitar literally sounded like machine gun riffs at times. Amazing work, underrated Creed song.
Love Creed! Alter Bridge and Scott Stapp too! I buy all their stuff.
Bad Religion - Punk Rock Song
After the band was shutdown the band members formed a new band that’s alter bridge you have reacted to it :)
Sadly enough this is there heaviest song, but hey have some nice songs.... Do a reaction to Creed - One Last Beath
Obviously you didn't hear their 4th album with the song "Overcome".
Illusion is pretty heavy and dense, too. And a couple of others. Honestly, as weird as it sounds talking about a band that has sold some 40 or 50 million records and has become a blueprint for a 'buttrock'/pop-hard-rock band whom everybody hates, they feel a bit underrated. This heavier side of them, to be specific.
@@Iscoileachme they get all the hate because the songs after track 3 in this Weathered album are REAAALY bad. Like OMG bad. Simple as that haha... don't know why they decided to be so damn lazy with this record...
@@Easelgames idk I'm new to this band and I kinda like some of this songs from "weathered". I mean, one last breath, my sacrifice, don't stop dancing etc. Why people consider them as "really bad"?)
@@peacefulquasaryeah man, one last breath is the first one I heard and made me listen to other rock/hard rock/metal
Creed is one of the best hard rock bands ever.
I see Creed I click, I love ❤️ them! Scott Stapp lead singer is now going on 6 years sobriety and the original members are all great with each other! I so hope they do new music and tour down the road in the mean time Scott has his solo music and the other three have Alter Bridge! They were never a Christian band but Scott’s lyrics were a reflection of his religious background and he was asking questions about where he fit in his dad abandoned him as a child and his stepfather was in to religion and was abusive, I miss them greatly, do My Own Prison, Torn, What If is just like Bullets! Great job please do more Creed, thanks have a great day! I saw them live and this song is amazing live🤟🤟🤟🤟🥰 They were a fantastic band and had real meaning lyrics, next should be My Own Prison and What If and a beautiful ballad Arms Wide Open! You guys did a great job on your meaning of the lyrics more CREED!
I don't know why people love to hate Creed. Undeserved hate. Love their music, and I'm a die hard classic hard rock fan.
Very good band.More Creed it's about time. SURPRISED ?
React to “What If”
Addicted to Pain by Alter Bridge has epic intensity. You’d like that one I think. 😁
People liked to hate Creed.. but they were an awesome band!!
