- In this video, we look at how to query the common objects in AD and how to manipulate the results using calculated properties. This comes in handy when working with some of our values that are in filetime format.
This is the most concise and clear video I’ve seen on this subject. I wish I would have had your video when I was first learning the process for using Powershell with AD. This video would have saved me a lot of trial and error. Thanks for the tip on where to find the examples of the filter language in the online help vs using the local powershell help. I’ll be sharing this video with my colleagues.
Thanks for watching. I'll have a part 2 recorded in a week or two that shows how to make changes to objects.
i enjoy all your videos.
with you, learning powershell is soo easy!!!
i have a question,
is there a job - specifically for powershell? or it's just a bonus knowledge for system admin\help desk\iT etc'...
for me, powershell is amazing tool to work with. sometimes it's feel like im discovering Ancient culture, it's open my Minde to another world's.
You're not wrong, powershell is a gateway to other things. To be better at powershell, it forced me to learn more about .Net, Regex, and WMI/CIM.
Usually powershell isn't a job itself, unless you're a trainer. It's mainly used to elevate your admin skills for whatever products you support.
@@chassetac thank you for your time. please, keep be inspiring and such an epic Trainer. i recommended your channel to everybody at my work :-) best regard
