    Dear Edwyn, Thank you with all my heart for sharing this awesome episode of Search For Tomorrow! The time period of 1975-1976 was my all-time favorite era of SFT. What a true pleasure to see all of my favorite characters once again. It was like seeing long-lost family that I haven't seen for 50 years!!! I recognized practically every single one of them and remembered their respective storylines. Seeing this brought back my young years at my grandparent's house. I can still recall to this day the familiar SFT theme music echoing loudly throughout our country farmhouse as I enjoyed watching this wonderful soap during summer vacations from school. What wonderful days they were. Thank you so much for taking me back home again. Oh, how I wish there were more episodes!!! I absolutely loved when Jennifer Pace was arguing with Scott Phillips and fell through the large plate glass window and had to have reconstructive surgery. I was glued to the set every day as she laid there in the hospital with her face wrapped in full bandages, waiting to see how disfigured she might be when she was finally free of them. I was also extremely mesmerized by the kidnapping storyline of Wade Collins by his "friend" Dr. Alan Ramsey and Nurse Fay Chandler, so much so that I didn't want to return to school in the fall. My compromise was that my grandmother would tape record the shows for me each day on my little cassette recorder so I could at least listen when I returned home. She graciously did so without hesitation. Many blessings to you, Mr. Sanchez. With my utmost gratitude. Please know that your work is greatly appreciated. 🙏

      Ah, thank you so much. That means a lot to this young heart. It's still hard to believe that I missed a big chunk of the times as I was not born during your times nor when SFT was around. But hey, at least we have new ways of communication to live and relive those times.

      I love your story of your grandmother recording the audio on your little cassette recorder. I still have my Panasonic cassette recorder. I of course never use it now and having in decades. I guess it still works. That was very sweet of your grandmother to do that for you. I don't think I could have gotten my mom to record a show like that for me. She hated the daytime soaps. Although she would get into a story I had on occasionally.

      @@edgefan4437Thank you very much for your sweet message. I was blessed to have such a sweet and loving grandmother. She was a very special and hardworking lady. I loved being in her presence. She loved me unconditionally. I was always fascinated with my little tape recorder. I always loved the reel to reel too. I think we appreciated things so much more back then when things were much more simple and not as abundant.

      @@EdwynNSanchezThanks so much for your reply. I'm glad you are still young but sad that you missed the most wonderful soap opera era. Those days were truly indescribable--a time when we absolutely lived for our soaps. We could not wait to tune in tomorrow because they were that good. We became whole heartedly invested in the characters--either loving them or hating them, rejoicing with them during the good times and crying with them during the bad times. It was a time when the Friday cliffhangers truly left you shaken and breathlessly hanging until Monday, thinking about your show all weekend and wondering if he or she is dead or alive or if they survived some other seemingly hopeless quandary in their lies. That is the reason there were approximately 14 soaps on the air at one time. We truly had a love affair with the soaps and their well-developed, deep-rooted, and meaningful characters and storylines. Soaps need to get back to the basics so we can experience that same love affair once again. We need the music, the organ music, and we need to have the intense story lines that are, in fact, long and drawn out as the story unfolds. Today's producers need to watch some of the old tapes that are still available and take much valuable lessons from them. Forgive me for getting on my "soap" box about this, but we desperately need to revive this bygone era. Edwyn, thank you so much again for your contributions. ❤️

    Thanks for sharing, Edwyn! This episode of SFT brings back so many memories. Michael Nouri (Steve Kaslo) and Meg Bennett (Liza Walton Kaslo) were such a beautiful couple on SFT. The entire cast were beautiful and the storylines were great during this time. I was in middle school while watching SFT and I always wanted stay home from school to watch it.

    Meg Bennett was great as Liza on #Search when it was on CBS. Her on-screen chemistry with Michael Nouri (Steve Kaslo) was popular with fans during the show's peak in the mid-to-late '70s. She went on to become an associate writer for #Search during its final years on NBC. Such a very talented & amazing woman. May she R.I.P. 🙏🏻 Thanks so much for taking us on a wild, nostalgic trip down Henderson memory lane (for those who didn't know, Henderson was the fictional town that served as the core setting for #Search throughout its entire run)! 👍🏻 I have a very special S.A.U. related question for you. Can you please give us a recap/synopsis of what happened in Morphdale on the original #AQuestForLove for the week of August 18-22, 1975?

    • @EdwynNSanchez
      @EdwynNSanchez  4 месяца назад

      To answer your question… briefly,
      Theresa and Joel are held hostage, Heather and Harris' baby dies a stillborn, Annie Davidovich returns to Dolph's life, Jacquie and Andy go into business together, and Marcia learns that Dennis ACTUALLY died of natural causes.

    I always laugh when characters are on soaps say something like, "You better get ready, so you'll be dressed when they get here." It's clear, at least to me, that the script had it the other way around but that they had limited time and money to do multiple takes.
