I have recently been watching the 1982-83 episodes from the David Gale fan channel. Mary Stuart was great then and nice to see she was great 2 decades earlier. Thank you for posting this!
Just seeing the thumbnail, I thought, “Oh, that’s Joann!” So tickled to remember after all these years. I’ve been watching all the old As the World Turns episodes. I grew up with all the CBS soaps from the late 50’s til the end?
@@kevinjohnson4599 yes amen my grandma is blessed to be in heaven with Jesus . She passed away 6 years ago age 96 I will always love her . Not a day goes by when she doesn’t cross my mind .
@@TheBeautifulGoldenHour I'm sure your grandmother is. As I said SFT was never the same after CBS dropped it & NBC piked it up. If CBS kept SFT & they didn't kill a couple of characters off maybe it would have lasted a little longer like 2,3 or 4 years. God Bless You, Stay Safe & Healthy.
+Kirk Morgan Answering my own question....I found out from a soap history book Marion did survive and it was revealed that another man fathered Marion's child. No wonder why Marion didn't want to go to court!
The women in the commercial ads are stunning. I remember when women looked like this, back in the day. I sure miss those days. And this program was in our living room every weekday when my mom watched it each and everyday. Sadly, America went to hell 10 months later when President Kennedy was killed, and nothing's been right ever since then.
At 3:10 noted game show host Jack Narz making extra bread doing a Dash commercial . Ms. Mary Stuart was the long time heroine \ matriarch of this soap .
A couple of episodes were written by future creators of General Hospital, Frank, and Doris Hursley, and did Search's Neal De Luca one of the crew have a son or relative name Al who worked on the show several years later.
This show ran 35 years and after it ended Guiding Light became the longest running soap or one of the longest TV show in history until ending in 2009 after 57 years on TV.
@@a.b.s_productionsBut now, General Hospital is the longest running TV soap opera which is still in production as it celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023 on ABC, followed by Days of Our Lives which will celebrate their 60th anniversary on TV by 2025 even it moved from NBC to its sister streaming platform, Peacock.
I love the old soaps. Love the old commercials.

Proctor and Gamble owned SFTM and the other soaps that ran on CBS.
You got a thing for great grannies? 😮
My mother never watch soap operas..often we did not own a tv..we could afford one..my mother thought it was wasteful of time.
That was one of the soaps that my mom watched when I was little. After we kids got older she went to work.Of course, she stopped watching the soaps.

Any idea how to find the 11/22/63 episode? In the Mountain time zone this was interrupted for the first bulletins about JFK being shot.
it was during an episode of As The World Turns, archive.org/details/AsTheWorldTurns
@@ClassicSoapOperas It was ATWT in the Eastern and Central time zones, SFT in the Mountain time zone.

Was this Marion character claiming that Arthur Tate (Jo's beloved husband) had fathered her child?
What happened to Marian after she got hit by a car while she was making her getaway?
