your video helped a lot, thankyou. I was doing a keyboard replacement, and was fully disassembled when you said the keyboard cant be replaced. Ended up snapping off the plastic knobs holding the keyboard in, carefully removing the backtape, then was able to replace the keyboard and super glued the ends of the plastic knobs that were snapped off.
laptop works fine, keyboard and all. but was grateful to see it all done so I could do what you did.

I managed to spill a big old glass of juice into, pretty much, the center of the keyboard. I got most of it within a few seconds but it's made the keyboard unusable. It seems purchasing a new palmrest assembly is the move, from what I see above and in comments. I'm concerned that I'll break something during the disassembly process, or that the stickiness will have stuck the motherboard to the laptop in a way that would make disassembly dicey. Were there many places on the palmrest that could have allowed liquid through to the motherboard?

    • @Sellbrokedotcom

Follow my instructions and take your time to pull the palmrest up to see if there's any of your juice on the motherboard. Then you will decide your next step.

For longest time I couldn't figure out why it did that or even how it did since I never touched the screen display. Long story short I messed up grabbed my laptop wrong and now the video cable came unplugged.
