    You mentioned you can buy 50cm sponlock handles, but the ony ones online are in Australia by muscle motion company and they refuse to ship outside of australia. Where can you buy them elsewhere?

      The New York Barbells
      www.newyorkbarbells.com/im-0030.html
      sells some longer spinlock dumbbells. Their dumbbells aren't however 30 mm in diameter, so take that into account. I think they are 25 mm.
      I bought my 45 cm spinlock dumbbells from this website
      www.gofitness.fi/kasipainotanko-kierrelukoilla-45-cm-30-mm
      I do not know do they ship into your location.
      This website also seems to sell longer ones:
      gorillasports.fi/saadettavat-kasipainot/e-sarja-valurautainen-saeaedettaevae-kaesipaino-20kg-kierrelukoilla-45cm-o-25mm-1kpl
      I must admit that the longer spinlock dumbbells are kind of hard to find. However though, I think the 45 cm long ones are long enough for almost 99 % of people.

    I have powerblocks up to 90 but I don't think they work with the mad spotter pro or the sport grip spotter system;( so iam looking for dumbells 50 and up to use the spotter systems since I have shoulder pain.
    I may sell the powerblocks 90s and get the once up to 50lbs only since I do hitt workouts 2x a week and they are fast to change.
    With this handles I can load up my 25lbs olimpyc plates on them and do any type of dumbell workout without restrictions? If I go tbis route I will be using the 50lbs plus dumbells with spotter system to save my shoulders.

      _I have powerblocks up to 90 but I don't think they work with the mad spotter pro or the sport grip spotter system;(_
      I think they do work with *_the mad spotter pro._* Like there is a handle inside the powerblocks to which you can attach the mad spotter pro, and then you can just add weights while they hang upside down from the bar by just feeding the weight into the dumbbell from above and then securing it with the pin. Like I think you need to have the weight plates upside down becasue if you remove the pin the weights will just fall off. I don't have powerblocks myself so I can't test does this actually work - I just kind of get it to work in my imagination.
      I do agree that the powerblocks do not work with *_the sport grip spotter system_* becasue the sport grip spotter system attachment doesn't fit inside the powerblock handle. It might work if you can attach the attachment to one of those outside bars on the powerblock, but then again - I do not know how much force those can take. You might need to contact the manufacturer and ask then if they are designed to be used in that fashion.

      It's hard to say anything about the compatibility, since I don't know the hole size of your olympic plates. If the hole size is the same as the rod thickness in the spin-lock dumbbells they should be compatible. I think both the mad spotter pro and the sport grip spotter system both fit the spin-lock dumbbells and I think any type of spin-lock dumbbell is capable of handling something around 220 lbs, which is a lot more than anything anyone is able to load on them in reality.

    i recently bought decathlon 7ft standard barbell to go along with the weights i owned. Do you think i can add more weight beyond the 160kg maximum weight limit?

    • @T12J7
      @T12J7  2 года назад

      I think you can, even though it might be wise not to exceed the maximal weight capacity. Like the bars usually bend if you put too much weight on them, so I don't think exceeding the recommended maximum limit is a real safety concern as much as it is a financial concern since you might ruin your bar. Also, even though I said you might go over it, I didn't mean go over it like 100 kg, but like go over it with 50 kg or something. Also, this is just my thoughts - I take mo responsibility of you hurt yourself or damage the bar if after reading this you decide to go over the weight limit XD

    how many kg do you think a 7 foot 1inch standard barbell will hold before it bends

    • @T12J7
      @T12J7  2 года назад +1

      I would think that even the cheap ones can actually hold at least 300 kg before they bend so that they will not return to normal. However though, that might be their very maximum limit, so to be sure that you don't bend the bar, I wouldn't exceed 250 kg on the bar. And I am now assuming that we are talking about these cheap home gym barbells, like the one in this video, and not the better quality weightlifting bars that you see in the commercial gyms.
