"lane splitting(Illegal, and dangerous)" is on the highway squeezing between moving cars. "lane filtering" is scooting up to the front of the red light(Legal, and for your safety). It's hard to tell from the video, but the dark spots on the road are either uneven asphalt, or areas where the road was worn out and they laid fresh tar over the bad spots(usually where car tires travel). If it's tar, and smooth... you're safe. If it's uneven asphalt, stay on the smoother portion of the road. Speed bumps- lift your booty off the seat.
Your shifting is fine for a newer rider and even more-advanced riders for sure! It'll get more second nature than it already is! I hope you continue to have fun and enjoy 2 wheels!
Risky! Just get the gear soon kid. Like the one guy said even going down at ten miles an hour on a pedal bike can sent you to an ER, so far I've been good on my DR, but in my pedal bike days I've been to the hospital for a broken arm and probably should have gone on a few other occasions. As for shifting once it becomes second nature you'll be all good there. Don't ruin your bike with a quick shifter! Be careful out there. Lol I've done the forgot to buckle the helmet one before, they will come off with wind! Even with the visor down. The shiny spots look like spots where the gravel has been scrubbed away, they can be slickbut the majority of slippery spots will be at stop lights and signs. A good channel to watch for ya I think would be dandanthefireman. It's a lot of the things your possibly being bad about but take it with some salt and ride on.
If the manual calls for regular gas, use regular gas. Higher octane is not more powerful gas. It has additives, like ethanol, that keep it from detonating at higher pressure and temperatures. It is for bigger more powerful engines, yes, but the gas for them is less volatile, not more. Octane started way back when they began to make V8s with higher compression pistons and the gas went off prematurely from the high pressure so they had to eliminate knocking or pinging (premature detonation). Regular gas is more volatile with the lesser octane rating, so it is more powerful for an engine that calls for 87 octane or regular. That is the top of the line exhaust (Yoshimura) on that bike, so unless they told you it has a high compression piston or big bore kit stay with regular gas.
You can ER yourself at 10MPH even on a pedal bike on asphalt and concrete, gravel, (ask me how I know) etc. Don't mistake small displacement for more safety. You're still in motion regardless. I'm glad to see a young person moto vlogging on a Grom I love the 125 Mini-Moto life! Lookin' forward to the next video! Blessings!
I started on a 2024 ZX10R and I got all the sour comments too. That slows down after a few videos. There is only 1 way to have the memories captured. They're jealous they didn't do it tbh lol. This is exactly what every person that thinks they want to ride or moto vlog needs to see. I still never turn off blinkers..... 😂🤣 Easy like/comment/subscribe
Yeah, my profile pic is me. The cops follow me around too. But I am 14-0 on cherries and berries disappear in the mirror. You have to choose battles carefully.
Hey 👋 try holding clutch when shifting up and down , this video I realized your not shifting with clutch and that’s how you miss the quick shifting 🤙🏾 all love no hate ❤
Thanks for the tips! I believe the point of quickshifting is to use throttle control without the clutch to achieve a smoother shift, I’m just not the best with the throttle control lol
Your riding has improved so much, great job! If you're on Facebook, there are plenty of groups for female riders looking for gear, but yeaaa gear for women is very hard to find!! Personally I think it's cool to video your experience as you learn how to ride. I've only been riding on the street since April but just looking back on my videos from a few months ago I can see how much I've progressed! Make content that YOU enjoy, and your subscribers will want to subscribe for your original, authentic self.
Hey grom monster 😂 you really travelling cross country on your mini bike....... awesome. I've subbed and good luck with your channel. I also have a motorcycle channel have a look imma a beast 😅 on two wheels😅😅😅
The Cement hurts at 5 mph. Not telling you how to ride. Just saying, 30 can put you into a few months of skin grafts. I have some HWK dual-purpose pants. They wok or the street too. and they are cheap.
I know the grom isn’t stock, mainly because I live with you, so the Speedo might be off because maybe it has smaller wheels or a bigger rear sprocket than stock.
Im no YT pro but i heard that if u make second channel dedicated to the motorcycle content, i heard it does better than a single utube channel. I ended up doin that. Take ur time getting comfy on the grom but not too comfy cuz anything can happen. Looks like u got good roads to ride b/c there isnt a truck every 5 seconds. Then um... showing this journey is gonna help make other girls riders.
I really like how you keep your head on a swivel and are constantly looking around, up down etc. IE being aware of your surroundings. That's GREAT !
12:11 My DAYS... That road is screaming to be slayed.

your little grom sounds pretty good
thanks! i think so too :D

Wow, awesome video! You’ve gotten so better at riding, especially with shifting! Seriously! I’m impressed, I would love to see more motovlogs!!!
thank you so much! more are coming!
I don't know what you got for an exhaust but it sounds great
honestly i forget, the previous owner put it on lol. but i love the sound of it too!

the grom sounds sick !

thanks for the tips! cant wait to make more videos :D
I don't think the Grom has a wheel sensor so it is off cam rotation like mine and pretty much everyone else. I wear ICON field armor
You’re just adorable 😊. I’m looking to get my permit soon

New Sub" Random riding and random "crap" is awesome as we get the vicarious throttle therapy etc.~!
Everyone. I do mean Everyone. Needs to learn on their own. Advice is fine but not required.

thanks for the sub! groms are the best!!
@@Murkeri groms are great if you wanna be a stunter, but also any bike is a good bike
From my experience on bmx, the shiny bits on the road are slightly slipperyer than not, I have slid out on them a few times. But that’s just on bmx
I would love to see a video of taking passengers, I'm wanting to learn!
She took me to school on the grom one time, so she can do passengers, but as she said, don’t learn from her because she is new
this ride u did looks like alot of fun i would love to ride out there were i live i have no decent views lol
im so grateful to live in such a pretty place for sure!
@@Murkeri if u come up with some interesting topics u got some potential out there keep it up

Hey if you want to spend the money on a go pro and bike shit then do it. You might be a famous youtuber one day!
If you were a bad rider, you would’ve crashed on that loose gravel.
Stop thinking that way.
