Nice instructions. Doing it tomorrow as I've got those two flashing lights. Attic will be hot as hell but is appears I can do most of the assembling downstairs in comfort. Thanks.

Hi. Link to amazon does not work. Can you post the model number or a better link?

Hello. I fixed the link to Amazon. Thank you for letting me know. I don't have a part number as it will depend on your specific model of water heater and thermostat. I suggest looking closely at the one you have to gather any information you can and cross check them online before purchasing. Thanks again for reaching out.

@@VallengeThanks. I was actually able to find the pilot assembly on Ace Hardware. For anyone else looking to buy this and may need it ASAP look up
      Reliance Natural Gas Pilot Assembly
Mfr #100112330. I was able to save waiting a week and got it in store, installed following your instructions and my hot water is back. I have an AO Smith XCV40 from 2014 and this item worked. Thank you!

You can try some local appliance repair shops. Sometimes they carry and sell parts..

Could you have just switched out the thermopile?

Hard to say. Depending on the thermostat you have and what is damaged along with what parts you get with your replacement assembly all would be a factor. You will want to make sure you replace everything that is damaged.
