I knew there was a reason I watch your videos. I have those new front carriers sitting at home waiting to go on my xmax, and I probably would have put them on without oil. Thanks as always.
Awesome, if they come in stock again or even available in my country im going to buy 2 sets. Already got the rear carriers from rpm and they are awesome.
I got the fronts a week ago or whenever they came out. Had to sand them just a bit cause they were too tight and I didn't feel like burning my servo up.
Bradley what sanding paper / method did you use? I've found the exact part on mine that's too tight. The top part (that has a pin) on OEM has a 9.7mm gap. On the RPM it's a 9.4mm gap which makes the steering feel tight. Specifically it seems like when I line up the bottoms of the RPM vs OEM, that the upper portion of the top part needs to be trimmed a little. I was thinking of a dremel but when you mentioned sand that seemed easier.
Great video brother just want to say thanks a lot for inspire me to buy one of these great beasts of a machine finally got to order one from AMAIN hobbies hopefully it comes on January 12th like it says "please keep the videos coming" great job 🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯
EARK...where did you find those heavy duty front hubs,,I looked all over and can’t seem to find them anywhere....I’d like to get a set of them,,,,,thanks...🇺🇸👈
EARL....I’ve been using LUCAS RED AND TACKY grease,,,,when it gets warmed up it thins out it has great adhesion,,,been using it for years on all my RCS. Just a thought. I’ve got my RPMS on order.....🇺🇸👈🚘
Great install I learned a little bit and that was to order some new RPMs and I noticed there’s no thumbs down on this video you must be doing something wrong🤣😂😅
I probably watch too much kevin talbot, but iirc he broke 2-3 RPM arms on his xmaxx years ago on his first run and it wasn’t anywhere near as durable as the Traxxas HD arms. I usually learn from my own mistakes, but I have learned A LOT from the XMAXX veteran community!
Yes the hinge pin would pull out now the make the retainer to solve it and yes Kevin T did show how the rpm just didn’t work with the arms but the rear bearing carriers worked great I figured the front might do the same I was wrong 💯💯💯rpm is one of those companies that truly lie about there warranty program as well 💯💯🔥🔥🔥
@@earlmoorhead5555 oh for the dif but not the bearings? Ok got it. Now I need to find out where to get bearing oil from. Wonder if Home Depot or Walmart has some.
earl I know i'm a pain in the butt... Could you please put the RPM part numbers down for the over size hubs and bearing carrier and also the bearing... I got the traxxas one 5182-a I know traxxas and rpm don't jive together ..But when you get a chance I would like the number I looked them up on the rpm web with no luck thanks again Jeff i'm thinking other people are interest in it too

Thanks 🙏
Just ordered the threaded hinge pin set. These will most likely be next!
Nice 👍
I'll be waiting to see if those hinge pins restrict the turning at all. Because I wanna put those on my xmaxx
@@deepvoice2652 think they might collide with the wheel?
@@SaltyDuck97 I have no idea, I'm waiting to see how you're does
@@deepvoice2652 front upper hinge pin DOES interfere with steering. Simply drill it with a 1/4” drill bit to countersink the head of the top pin

Thanks 🙏 I agree 💯💯👍👍

@@danielbaker2844 I used a small flat file and worked it little by little till it fit properly. Worked perfectly.

RPM GOODIES👍💯👊
Yes 👍👍💯💯thanks for the numbers for the parts 🙏🙏🔥🔥
What oil are using in the bearings?
Bearing lube from the hobby shop
I didn't know about the bearings needing oil lol probably why mine took a crap so fast!
I definitely would’ve used grease in those bearings
Are you gonna put those threaded hinge pins in the front?
When I change to rpm arms 👍👍

Will grease work instead of oil? I have plenty of grease.
In the differential yes 👍

Lol I think I read in am old comment somewhere it was in the 120 range. And he's added a few since lol.

Been watching your videos, do you have any pointers,on changing motor on a Notorious 6s! Have a TP 2300kv
It’s straight forward use heat to remove the bolts and use good mip driver set so you won’t strip any bolts heads 💯💯💯
Hey I was wondering what motor esc combo to upgrade my infraction v2
I have several videos on combos for the infraction all depends on what you like but I’ve done most of the combos already 👍👍👍
What radio do you use with your xmaxx???
The stock traxxas remote 👍👍
🤜🏻🤛🏻
The rpm look so much beefier
Yes I agree 💯💯

Oil never lasts long in my bashers the salt and snow get everywhere.
