He said he wanted to "focus on the tech", but he didn't go into much depth on how you would find correct pinion depth via gear mesh paint. He just said "looks good to me" instead of how Ian used to go all through the "tech" of how the pattern was supposed to look and why each axle is set up differently and how to tell where your pinion shims should be if you get a housing that is bare and you don't know how it came

I have a old Nissan Hardbody (d21) love my trucky. It was my father-in-laws truck and my wife remembers when he first got it. One of her oldest memories and going out on the old boat too. I have restored the boat, motor and gave it tastefully updates and modification. They both love the boat which is great. The truck is next. We all want it 4x4 and I love our Jeep's solid axles and I'm planning on swapping the hardbody over and doing a 4.8L 'LS swap' and keeping it stock because that V8 power will be enough for that truck. Watching y'all do this make me want to do it more pulling the 350,000 mile motor out and restomod my trucky. I think the hardbody need a bed liner body to give it the full package of hard steel body with the bed liner. It might get a 4 speed auto but I love rowing the 5 speed in it. Then again time and money is all that's holding me back now...

You guys really need to consider wearing gloves. Yea, I know they are a pain to use and keep up with But: they do help to keep hand injuries down!
Hands are the most injured body parts we have. I not trying to be a dip but if you guys will start using, maybe the younger viewers will learn to wear them too! You may even get viewers your/ our age groups will admit that you’re right to use your gloves. Remember, PPE is the last safety process that we have at our disposal.

What kind of locker was that? Was that a Detroit Locker?
I've always heard not to put a locker in a front differential, but with locking hubs as well, it should be okay since the hubs spin free when not locked in. Unlocked hubs and the transfer case in 2H should mean the differential isn't moving at all... right right?

Yeah. If the front diff isn't engaged it just spins like it's in neutral.
