Not yet... They played a group of sub .500 teams lately and basically split the games... If u can't dominate such teams not much hope 4 beating plus teams...
Hey JD; this team is “capable” of going on a good run. But that won’t happen unless the bats come alive on a consistent basis. Their schedule could be a slippery slope. So no, I don’t think the Cards will be playing in October due to the quality of teams they have to play the rest of the season. Also, teams in playoff contention have to slump too. The Cards bats have not been consistent all year. I look for the Cards to play around .500 ball or less for the rest of the season. But; as Yogi always said, “you never know in baseball”.
Maybe the Sox can get Ross to manage the team since the Cubs did him wrong. Plus, Skip Schumacher should be available since we'll still have Oli. Love the Edman trade, loved the Bader trade too, most fans didn't. We have more players like Edman that could bring back more needed positions. Whatever happens, Fedde and Gray are pitchers that fit the Cardinal mold.
Winn Burly Willie Pham Donnie Nado Noot need to be the nightly 7… I like Pages but Wilson isn’t hitting when DH.. I like Goldie but Burly should be at 1B same with Donnie.. I like Gorman but Donnie at second Pham and Noot corners VS bats 9th until Siani comes back… Giving you Carp/Goldie/Gorman/Pages to platoon or DH… in the 8 hole… That consistent 7 will majority of the time as a group will hit/walk/put ball in play.. manufacturing runs on a nightly bases with the pitching be solid outside Mikolas will get you series wins from here on out.. no more bs this is the stretch run.. especially with Brewers Dodgers Padres series coming up
The last 50 games are more teams with plus 500 records. Tough to get any winning streak to get a wìld card. I did here a stat + 28 games over 500 when scoring 4 or more runs! I wish the Sox were the cubs! That would be great!
Time to switch some things up. Let the weak hitters sit the bench and earn their playing time back. Time to start hurting people's feelings. They're all grown men and make millions a year. F**k their feelings at this point.
I'm looking forward to giving O'Brien a chance in the pen. Enough with Matz already. We have waited years on him as a starter. At the most, a pen player, 50 pitches should be his max. Bring up both for the pen. Maybe you could find out how many starts out of how many starts possible since he has been a Cardinal.

Mo is leaving and he should take his Mgr with him.
