I prefer the timeless side but I also am older and not concerned with trends, makeup is fun and adds beauty to enhance a woman as God made her! You are beautiful without makeup and beautiful with any way you choose to apply it. Have a blessed Easter and thank you for all your tips and tricks:)

im in my early 20s and still prefer the timeless side i feel like the trendy side in real life makes me look so much older than i am and even if you pause the video on diff random points you'll see that that trendy side sort of gives that too many plastic surgery bubbly vibes sort of like recent madonna pictures

I agree! I would love to do the trendy eye look but because I have very hooded eyes that have a downwards tilt to the outer part of my eye it’s very difficult to pull off. I’m all about mascara, soft eyeshadow and smudgy liner; that’s what works for this makeup lover 😊
Classics is my go to. But I take techniques from both sides and incorporate them in my routine. Again, a great video Andreea x

My grandmother went to beauty school. She taught my mother how to do her makeup exactly the way she did, and my mother taught me. So I have always done, I suppose, the more 1950s style of makeup. My friends would make fun of me when they would see me do my makeup without all the trendy products and brushes and sponges and such. They spent a ton of money and a ton of time on their makeup, and would constantly be buying new products and tools. But time and time again people would come up to me and tell me how flawless my makeup looked.

I am in my sixties and as i watched the transformation i realized that when i was young my eyes naturally had the look of the trendy side. All i saw was the heaviness of that inner eyelid and i tried to make my eyes round. We always want what we don't have!

As a mature woman I love the timeless and more natural side. I do however see the benefits of the trendy side with a more liftet look. But I do think the trendy side is a little too much for me personally and maybe more for the younger generation. I love your videos and the fact that you usually don't use filters. The method of application is definitly timeless. But then I like to play around, depending on my mood, preferring higher cheeks and overlining the lips.

Finally, I’m not the only one that thinks under painting is a TikTok gimmick. It might be useful when you need to lighten a much to dark shade of contour cream but otherwise it’s useless. LOVE YOUR CHANNEL ❤ your techniques made me a better makeup user 😊
I dont have tiktok but I hate the “trends” that seems to appear in that social media. There are just the same techniques we’re seeing since years ago when youtubers like Wayne Goss, Lisa Eldridge and even Andreea started! The under painting it’s the preferred technique of Scott Barnes and even he accepts that is a lot of effort and that looks good for red caroet but not necessary in real life!

Great video, Andreea! Everything is flawless, the makeup, the way to apply it, the way you explain everything to us! I am voting Timeless for the entire look, even though I love a winged liner look, but just because I don’t like fluffy brows, extremely overlined lips and blush taken close to the nose.
Just yesterday I did my base makeup like the Trendy side and I had a hard time blending it 😢 I love applying makeup and I even did a course 2 years ago, but I still didn’t manage to create a flawless base with this technique. I had to use multiple brushes and a sponge to make it look okay, and no, I didn’t apply too much product.
Anyway, my point is that everyone should do their makeup as they like and can 😅

I think the trendy one is more fun to see blended out for mass audience views on social media, but as you demonstrated, it doesn’t compare with classic proper application. Matt’s and CT Rose cream shadow I would never have thought I could wear those colours but they work so well. Tell me how to stop shadow drop through the day into the smile lines under my outer eye. Do all the concealer and simple powder setting tricks but the shadow still creates those bags which I hate. So I tend not to use anything on lower lashes except nude liner on the water line. You are amazing and gifted with they way you share your knowledge. Huge thanks

As an older woman who still loves makeup, the classic side is for me although I do use balmier lipsticks most of the time lately. I like both on you but I think your classic eye makes your eye prettier. This was one of your most fascinating videos!

The viewpoint with the brows is interesting. I always use the brow freeze to put everything in order (otherwise my brows celebrate a wild party during the day 😂) and fill up where it is needed with a brow pencile. For me this is very natural.

I love the eye on the trendy side but I know I could never do it. The timeless side is easy even for people less experienced and still looks beautiful.
I do a 1/2&1/2. Application of base timeless,lips timeless in shape but I love a tinted balm somedays. Eyes, well that’s a hard one cuz is a half n half I like to elongate but I don’t snatch, but then I use color cuz it could be consider trendy but I apply it on a timeless way. I don’t contour cuz I’m older, but I bronze and I’m reliving my younger years by applying my blush in the trendy way cuz it gives a youth effect. That’s what make up is there for to enhance what we got and play with it to show our personality. Love this video!

Timeless base is perfect, I think the trendy way is a useless hype, it doesn't make sense to do all at the same time, because it's so much more prone to errors. The blush is soooo much more fresh and youthfull on the trendy side, I love it! Same goes for the lips, the muted/nude kind of dark mauve just looks old and boring (blush&lips).
The eyes are beautiful on both sides, timeless works always everywhere, and trendy can be for a special event (for me).
Highlighter I rather skip altogether, but I do have a cream, so trendy looks nicer and more natural for me.
Eyebrows - I think the trendy just looks funny, I rather stick to a natural timeless look.
All in all, it's a mix of both for me :)

I love them both, but as a woman over 45 I have to lean to the timeless because of hooded eyes. I do like the trendy lips also. Thank you for the entirety of the video! I prefer the ease of timeless, and for me timeless is quicker to get out the door most mornings . I do apply my eyeshadow using the trendy method. I find that it lifts my eyes.

I think both sides look beautiful on you but I have to say I really really love the timeless one. The timeless side you look naturally gorgeous (which you are!),…and the trendy side almost looks like you’ve had work done, less natural - not a bad thing it’s just more “made-up” and fashion forward. But if you’re going for natural beauty, it’s the timeless side 100% But that’s why makeup is so fun, you can create so many different looks! I just think it depends on how you’re feeling that day and where you’re going your eye does look bigger on the modern design and it looks beautiful but I also like the other side looks soft so I like both and I don’t know what I’m doing, so I don’t know which side I fall on. Thank you for another great tutorial. We are never too old to learn and you are a wonderful teacher. 😊 I am 62 and I try to keep my look fresh but it has to work with my less than youthful face.I pick and choose from modern colors and styles and modify it to suit me. I have some lines around my lips that don't work well with over lining. OK, so I follow my lip line but use a more modern color and shading of liner. A more trendy lip color. I have hooded eyes so I have always had to work with that. I love the bright blush...I need that for Spring and Summer. ❤

I love both and at 57 I do a bit of both, sort of a hybrid look. For the life of me even though I have thin lips, I can’t seem to over line them. I always feel like I look clownish.

I apply my make up with trepidation, I love both sides of the application, the eyes are definitely nicer and more open on the trendy side, I prefer the lip over lining and don't particularly like the trendy application of all the products in one go, you are right it seems lazy and not enough precision ⭐️✨️🌷

Just ordered the bubble blush! Too cute! You are gorgeous. Both ways. But I'd feel naked too without a little over- lining of my lip. (Even having a bit of filler 🤦♀️💗) .. I also bought deep taupe. I'm obsessed!all of my clients ( I'm a hair colorist) always ask me what color lip I'm wearing... ( I pair it with 'blankety' by Mac, an old fave). Now I need the YSL foundation. Gorg finish.... Your skin tone is so close to mine, so it makes trying your suggestions so easy 😂👍

I suppose it depends on the bone structure, the form of the face/eyes /lips, the age and the style of the person which technic to apply.
I'm 45 and I mix them, I use the technic for hooded eyes/natural looking eyebrows /the trendy application of blush with the liquid Orgasm from Nars put high, then Terracotta plus Benefit highlighter - and the lift with the All over concealer from Lancome. For the lips I use the Guerlain Kiss Kiss lipstick base which makes lips plumper and smoother.
I love the timeless make up. It's suitable for any place, time and ocassion. I also love the trendy eyes for a special outing. They are flirty and sexy. The trendy lips... they just look like they have been stung by a bee!

Timeless:foundation, brows,highlighter,lipliner.Trendy:concealer(I did that way before it was trendy),blush.
The placement of eyeshadow varies on my mood that day.
I definitely do a timeless eyes, eyebrows, contour… But when it comes to powder, blush placement/ colour, over-lining the lips and tinted lip balm and highlighter, I’m on the trendy side 😁👌
On a daily basis I do a timeless base and brow combined with the "trendy" eye and lip. But I have done a winged liner for ages and I do it in a shape that better suits my eye frame and shape. I lived though a few trends and each had something that I picked up for the long run. I think the advantage of trends is to find that one small detail that suits you and then apply it to one's own particular style. And not before long, this would result in a bespoke makeup that will always look better than anything else as well as make for a perfect base for adopting tiny trendy influences that one would find interesting.
Timeless hands down, just looks more natural and softer. Fun video Ali!

I do trendy side now these days exactly the way you showed. Especially I like the eyeliner and concealer trendy side application.
I loved this video Andreea! And I love elements of both if these looks. Its a mix of classic and trendy for me I think. Firstly though, i will say that I do not put all the colors on my face and then blend. I would be afraid my whole face would turn into the same muddy colored mess. I usually only spot correct any blemishes or redness with some concealer as I don’t need coverage everywhere, or I do a very light base. I love cream makeup best for my slightly mature dry skin, with a minimum of powder on my t zone to set it. I’ve always done my blush angled toward my temple, even since I was a teen. I have naturally thicker and nicely shaped eyebrows so I only use a little something to keep them in place. For eyes, I love a little flick at the edge of the eye to lift a bit and I’ve always done this too. My eyes are a good size for my face and accenting them is not too difficult. For Eyeshadow I like a mix of both again. Not too crazy, usually one to two colors as I have a natural darkness in my crease as I am olive light skinned, but I like to play a bit with different colors all over as a one and done in the summer. I love some shimmer on the mobile lid. Usually I love a taupey color on the lid. Lips I don’t usually line. They are full enough that a shiny gloss over any lipstick or stain is enough. Or just a sparkly lip balm most days. But occasionally I have fun overlining in the center just a bit. Usually too much trouble though lol.
I love the timeless base and trendy for others.

Both looks are beautiful. I think for me it would depend on the day my mood. However, I am in my 60s and everything is heading south so, I am interested in technics to make the face look more lifted .

You are so right! And apparently your opinion is more valued, as a make up artist! The only thing i liked in trendy side is the eyes! It's flattering, another style we can say. Everything else is too much. I loved the all time classic make up 🤩
