    This video was perfect! Thank you for walking through each instrument. I know it's supposed to be about "whatever sounds good to you," but these rules of thumb - and knowing the reasons behind them- are really helpful for beginners like me.

    Excellent tutorial, very practical. Amazes me how much you can do with Reaper (and save $4-500 over other DAWs!).

    I kind of love how Reaper's plug-ins look very basic and kind of boring, but they're incredibly powerful.
    Sure, the developers could have spent all this time making them look prettier, but they know that that's not what people are using this for. They want RESULTS, not shiny graphics.

    I'm moving the settings and the track is playing but the sound is remaining exactly the same so i'm not hearing any realtime changes, any ideas why?

      Do you have the track you're eqing soloed or are all the tracks going?

      you have to activate the fx button on the track

      @@MrChriss10001 Ah yes I'm not technical so literally everything has been a STEEP learning curve. Either wanna learn vocoder or sidechaining next!

    I've just discovered this eq though I've used Reaper for 3 years. This and their Saturate plugin are GREAT. I'd always been told that the stuff thrown in with DAWs are just gimmicky trash and to ignore them. Uhh, WRONG.
