Update. Just threw one at a demo couple weeks ago. I was surprised at how much it labored. But maybe the surface had also hit 4k by then. I should have touched it with factory surface.
Love it, love the addition of the CFI, colors are great. However I think Im going to pass on this one only because its to similar to the original which was already OP. Maybe had it been more different...HK22, hybrid and maybe Green instead of red(personal option) would have made it stand out more from the OG.
Great review. I wonder how an HK22 Solid Coverstock would match up against this ball. Curious if this would out hook the Brutal Collision. Nick you should really try the Brutal Collision.
My understanding is that hk22 was designed to clear the fronts and get more back end motion. the Envy cover is about being agressive and early for the juicyest of lanes. I would also like to see that put to the test brutal collision vs extreme envy with the same surface prep!
@@BassRacerx the HK cover does allow it to get through the fronts easier, but the Brutal is strong and a lot earlier due to the solid cover. The Brutal is so good!
Someone just shot a 300 game with it…against me 😢 😂at a 6 game PBA scorpion tournament in Santa Maria this past Sunday. The ball ran wonderful from deep made the bowler look like a damn magician.
Did you do a video already about how to decipher those print outs with oil patterns? Like what to look at/for? What numbers are most important? When you look at a new one, how to get an idea of where you may want to play the lanes? If so can you link the video?
There are videos out there- I know Brad and Kyle has done it, I think JR has done it, probably others. Main things: Pattern length (42' here), Volume (19-20ml here), and ratio- Inside/Outside (5:1 or thereabout here indicating a Challenge pattern).
Absolutely. I put that stat up there so people can see what my “scoring monitor” speed would be and also to see how much a ball actually slows down due to friction.
@@brunsnick When I bowl the screen is always between 15 and 17mph... I thought that was slow, but if thats at the pins maybe not so bad? Im televised pro tournaments what speed do they display, launch, or at the pins?
Playing straight up the back of it sure. However, SPECTO Rev rate calculation is roughly 10% under actual when I use throbot. That rev rate is mechanically driven so 200rpm will read 175-180. I just post what the data shows, it doesn’t matter much to me.
Sometimes I think the review is not only about the ball, but about your skill at making adjustments with speed and hand. So informative!
I was just thinking that same thing
The ball reacts the same way no matter where you moved. Consistent, I dig it man
Brunswick’s 7 brands was, is and will always show out and do their thang!!!!! 🤙🏾👏🏾🔥
I know what to ask Santa for Christmas. Hammer/Brunswick are my favorite bowling balls.
That ball is that darn strong to the point where Nick you left a 8 and 9 with it 😆. Btw every now and then JR Raymond leaves an 8 pin
i'd pay to see an 8 pin competion between you and JR Raymond 🤣
Heavy Redemption solid vibes here. I loved that ball. Might have to get this one for a lower rg compliment to my Archetype.

That thing looks awesome going down the lane

I second this
Would love to see how it performs sanded too!

@@TerryEndicott1976Good to hear! I just got one in but haven't drilled it yet!
Just ordered mine can’t wait to drill it and get it on the lanes
They have a pearl also that is coming out and is more my style (skid/flip). However, my Envy is still one of my favorite balls.

Can we get a retest on Test Pattern Heavy? This was just a ball to oil volume mismatch in my eyes.
1st... Good review Nick!
I bet with higher oil volume it would look a lot better in the middle zone.
How does this ball compare to the Innovator Solid? Looking at getting a new strong asymmetrical ball and was debating between these 2 balls.
It more angular than Innovator Solid.

What is the benefits of the CFI cover suppose to be?
Is entry speed the speed we would typically see on the scoring monitors during league? Asking for a friend 😅😂

@@brunsnick I really enjoy the data. It gives clarification of what your eye sees 60 ft away.

@BARBELLS-AND-BUDS that’s plenty fast.
@@brunsnick I was faster one handed, but thumb injury made me change.
I dont have a good approach, and maybe thats why I am slower now?
I have to ask. Where do you score best. Outside? Middle? Or deeper inside?
On a typical house shot? Middle, small swing.
Thanks
JR leaves a lot of 8s 😂 you should have a match to see who does.
Although i find this appealing. I'm not sure its that is differnt enough from the orignal Envy. Not ruling it out yet though.
Hits like a F-ing hammer !
This ball does not move for me on heavy oil patterns. 42-48 feet 2:1 29-32mls of oil. It just goes straight. 13mph 350-360ish rev rate.
@@tymarmaras use more surface to start. 👍🏻
IMO, Swish 7-10 (Jeff Piroozshad) leaves more 8-pins than you, but you do leave a lot.
Heavy oil ball?
Yes. 👍🏻
It looks like it rolls like 5 feet at the pocket
What’s that mean?
Is the revrate calculation correct? 295 rpm? I remember way back when you clawed all over it and had 400+ rpms
