It's 2021 and I'm sitting in my room and crying. The beauty of this performance is overwhelming. I'm lost for words. I've seen this footage ages ago but somehow it appeared again on my recommended videos and I'm very grateful.
Es hat den ganzen Tag geregnet, meine guten Creepers haben sich aufgelöst und die Rückfahrt war die Hölle, aber diesen Tag und das Konzert von den Sisters (als Headliner!) werde ich sicher nie vergessen.
This lyrics, hands down, must be among the best ever written. And, yes, Davids guitar shoes might be a a couple of numb(ers) to big for most guitar players.. "You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying." It's hard to top those lines..
thxx 4 this recording and upload, the boy talkin thru out just makes it live better, G bless we love u Andrew E! thxx to all sistas that made every formation of the Sisters bof Mercy a goth splendour and a bliss fuelled loving dream thxx and gig
As a big Pink Floyd fan since the mid 80s, I first heard this back in the early 90s and this has always been my favourite cover of a Floyd song. One day I listened to a live Pink Floyd "The Wall" bootleg, and Richard Wright played a piano / keyboard melody during the guitar solo of Comfortably numb - that was almost the same as Some Kind of Stranger (which was always one of my favouritse Sisters songs). That makes this version all the more awesome. To me, Andrew Eldritche really resonated with this song, and amplified the emotion during the performances. It's awesome!
I'm a massive fan of both more so Floyd and hearing this at the Birmingham NEC in 1992 was just so exciting. Love it. This video though never see the source before, think its Leysin my video was all wobbly!
Some kind of Stranger is a bit his Moonage Daydream :-) I've been a fan since 1984 but didn't think their live performances were at the stratospheric level of those 2 sublime albums. On the other hand, what is there still to say about music in a world wherein Taylor Swift is breaking all records???
Wow, great cover! befitting for the Sisters too. Was this recorded during this current tour? I'd love to record this song myself. Hell, I'll be up in the very front anyways w/my press pass. thanks! This was a tear jerker!
You are only coming through in waves. Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying. Those lines are just fucking brilliant. A bit sad that I never got to see PF.
interesting , but that what makes the solo so difficult to play is because the guitarist has to change style and methods mid strum which is a hallmark of Gilmours playing ,
Comfortably Numb is my favourite song of all time, and the Sisters one of my favourite bands, but some things just don't work. It had flashes of brilliance, but his voice just doesn't suit it.
must be recorded in the 90's (96 - 98??) - he's not wearing that coat for a long time and andreas bruhn is playing guitar... but of cause it's very good ;-)
Needs more German people speaking! And more out of tune singing by Andrew! Otherwise it's perfect. ;-) In all honesty, I like it a lot, which is why I came to watch it, but he does have trouble staying in tune, which is mildly amusing. Too bad they never did a studio version.
"They should be shot" give us a break, should not waste our bullets, too many on this planet, have U ever thought of it, perhaps a silver bullet if you re a she-wolf, so WE CAN WAIT A LONG LONG TIME before we hear another one of your love bites, pls give us a break should have stayed only with your loved, the pink floyd, this is indeed a cover for the sister fans, so pls give us a break

They were on top form last night playing The Roundhouse, Camden, London.
i swear
@@cjgoth3487 They were great last week in Detroit as well.
The emotional intensity of that performance is stunning. Wish I'd been there.. would have been in tears.
I am a sucker for a good Comfortably Numb cover, and they nailed it.
The tie-in with Some Kind of Stranger is absolutely brilliant.
This cover is So bloody underrated man 🖤🖤🖤
Best transition between songs ever
The part I went straight to before starting it over...
Never get tired of watching
best music and performance ever!
I cry every time i watch this video. The emotions this evokes out of me, is uncanny to love and deep understanding
Great cover no perfect cover no one else can do this cover like Sisters of Mercy thanks ❤🎸 🎶
Maybe it's not a perfect performance but compared to the Original I think this version has balls!
Never thought these two songs would go so nicely together. Awesome!
iI AGREE
Really?!
I saw them May ‘92 and they opened with Comfortably Numb merging into Some Kind if Stranger...
They’ve always put these songs together live. It’s usually a closer.
I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS ANOTHER SONG SOUNDS GREAT IT HAS ME CRYIN
Comfortably numb / Some kind of stranger
I love this Medley !
Absolutely perfect for reaffirming the flashbacks of many years ago seeing them live in Dublin.
- go bang festival, st. goarshausen(loreley) in 20.06.1992 ;-)

I ALWAYS start to cry if I hear that..ALWAYS...

This is a cover for fans of the Sisters, not fans of Floyd.
It did get me into Floyd though!
I like both so there!

Awesome
Magnific!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How synchrenisity or what? I was going to tweet Fields of Nephilim if they could do a cover of this aswell good to see Sisters have
Aw man I love that they covered this. Shame about the talking/noise.

Where is this shot at? I have a version similar in sound quality shot at the Brixton Academy.

very cool

Although it does transition real nice in to SKoS.
There are better versions circa 1993 and 1998.
Maybe, but it suits his voice if you can split the difference.
@W.D. yep, but the best one, period ! ;)
Thanks*
Curiosa la versión del inmortal clásico de Pink Floyd.

He lives in the shadow of Pete Murphy, but is a brilliant artist in his own time.
john harmer 😂😂😂
To people who only compare their voices. He's a hell of a songwriter/producer also. Practically wrote and performed all of "Floodland".
Vocals spoiled the song, sorry :(
I mean, this is not a good singing for this song.
But it is a good song for his voice if you already like the way he sounds.
How are things in 2010?
