    HEY! I'm a 64-year-old watchmaker................................ I have been in the game for 40 years............... Don't worry what other people think, do what you want to wear what you want and if you like something then just say *&^% you ill do what I want you don't pay my rent. OK? By the way, you would make a good watchmaker/repairer, you have the tenacity required. Well done you....

    You can use toothpaste and work it in a circular motion with a microfiber cloth. I have tried it on my Omega Speedmaster and it worked.

      Some of the older (non-whitening) tooth paste should work. It polishes the crystal like Poly watch. It's an old watchmaker trick. Makes me wonder what it's doing to my teeth.

    If you use a dermal in low speed with a buffing wheel with the Polywatch, it makes the job so much easier, faster and much better result.

    I am a bit hesitant to use anything abrasive on older Omega watches, as it might rub off Omega logo on plexiglass.

    Is there no risk of taking out the tachymetre numbers or the bezel painting with the glue of that adhesive tape?

    • @hobokenhorology1588
      @hobokenhorology1588  6 лет назад +1

      When I do this I used painters tape. From speaking to others a lot of people seem to like painters tape or even scotch tape. I'd go with the painters tape.
      No I've never had a problem. I suppose if the watch is very old it could lift some paint off.
