- In this video I plunder other players during the mightiest governor event in Rise of Kingdoms (ROK - formerly Rise of Civilizations). Is it worth it? I'm not sure... I'm a novice at plundering, so let me know if there are things I should be doing differently - drop your tips in the comments!

I just wanted to take a moment to respond to the sentiment that zeroing another player, and that attacking weaker players in general, is not OK. PLUNDERING weaker players is an activity that I have avoided entirely up until this video because I personally don't particularly like taking resources from others. With that said, the design of the game, and the Mighty Governor event in particular, strongly rewards exactly the style of play shown in this video - opportunistic attacks against significantly weaker players such that you maximize casualties while minimizing losses. While there are other creative ways to score points during the mightiest governor event, raiding for profit is one of the most effective.
The easiest way to protect yourself against this style of attack during the Mightiest Governor event is to spend down your resources - it makes you an unattractive target. We'll make an entire video on this topic soon.
The big dogs in our kingdom usually only hit hard during the kill events which is cool. IMO, if your base is that important, those players should shield and stay off the resources during those events. Even our biggest players would rather hit the troops outside the base.
But to me it seems that the resources you get from raiding is worth way less than the army you are losing? Because they take ages to train while you easily get those resources from just farming?
It's an event so it's inevitable. The top players from my kingdom does that as well and everybody understands.
@@billkat1954 Thats that same conclusion I've come to. Its just not profitable to plunder IMO.
My alliance generally only attacks farmers during kill event with the exception of those who attack us. If they attack our farmers or cities they are fair game. And like you said chisgule, spend down resources and don't farm during event.
As to raiding cities for resources being unprofitable, it can be very profitable if you pick targets carefully and learn how to minimize dead troops.
Its funny how 1 year ago, chisgule is attacking cities with lohar. 😄😄😄

Don't know why people are so upset. Two of the people didn't have tags which means they probably quit playing. Besides it's kill event. Doesn't last that long...protect your account. You can do that by lowering resources or buying a discounted shield in VIP shop. This game above any other MMO strategy game I've played gives so many cheap and easy ways to protect your account and resources/troops. But with any MMO game you always get people whining about being zeroed during KE. It's kind of ridiculous. It's a war game. That means fighting. And Chsigule is so tame on this part of it as he only fights during events. So chill out, enjoy the awesome content, and protect your account! ;-)
Your first hit or two should include a decent number of siege to deal with the watchtower. You'll have fewer dead this way.
This is what siege are for, BTW. Attacking cities with watchtower troops and gathering are basically their only uses.
It doesn’t show me the resources of the people I attack, and I can’t take their resources

They probably have them all in storehouse, it’s not a glitch, you have to find higher lvl players since they most likely are overflowing
Y can't I get recourses when I attack a city?
Siege/Leadership Champs Skills & Talent Tree reduces dmg from watchtower & increase dmg. Less Deads, More Def & Tanky Army. Use Infantry & Siege. I dont think Cav is useful. Attack Simultaneously. I think its more effective... I believe You should also bear in mind wall Lvl. Deals significant dmg so higher lvl is harder to penetrate I'm still learning too xD
Wall level isn't a thing at all, it's level is just for durability.

When I go to attack or scout there is no recourses in their base am I doing somthig wrong
That 30% rss being burnt is just ridiculous, hope devs change that.Its more than enough to have rss being saved by the storehouse, there shouldnt be an extra % saved/burnt rss. Love your videos man! Till next one!

@@Chisgule nice, you completely did the math and its true, we confirmed once with lilith that there's 30% tax even when plundering cities because if you dont get taxed, the whole purpose of trading post would be gone, people with farm account will instead hit their farming cities than use the trading post if there's no tax when plundering cities

I think the 30 % tax is to prevent players from attacking their own farm accounts and rather use the alliance assist. In my case I cannot transfer ress I have to attack my farm. Which is a bummer because the tax is much higher.
Doesn't Storehouse also protect their resources so unfortunately you can't take it all.

What’s annoying is that the person that I attacked had a ton of resources but isn’t an active player. So eventually the wall dropped to 0

I dont raid city because i feel bad about when i hit them and steal their resources. So i hit inactive players instead haha
But how do I know if a player is inactive?
The SoulSlasher i just mail them first after scouting. I play everyday so i track their power and resources if they farming or not. Then i just attack them at kill event for points. If they respond im not gonna attack them but, most of the time they didnt.

Great videos, seen a few. I will be great to get advice on how a general how to level your heroes and maybe a guide on Boudica. one of the most confusing thing in this game is what tree to invest in the first command and if i should invest the same on second commands, for example, if I send Boudica and Lohr together should they both have peacekeeping, Boudica skills, for example, seems better utility then peacekeeping as it works in multiple places. - one more thing that you may create a video for .. when do we stop lvl one hero and move to another pair. .. or is it best to get a couple of heroes to max?
The game is definitely not plundering friendly. I use to play Travian which is geared more toward plundering first/farming secondary but this game definitely does not favor plundering.
You can't get the resources if it's under Storage house level (2m6 from scout but u only get 830k +1m after u had conquered their city, meaning they had upgraded their Storage house to 800k or so). Thats why when i go to war, i tend to keep my rss low so even if i got attacked, i wouldn't loose much rss. And if you attack a city, you should better bring tier 2/3 unit because all the severly unit will die instantly and tier 2/3 is easier to replace than tier 4.
Thanks for this detailed comment and tips! The amount of rss shown from the scout is the amount beyond what can be saved by the storehouse (it is all plunderable).

Yes. But what shows when you scout is beyond what is protected by the storehouse : )
I really do love your videos and i am actually following your step. (I've only played a month as a Dolphin), One time, I woke up and found out someone attacked my castle and lost nearly 4M of resources (I was saving to upgrade obviously). and to heal my troops, it costed me for another 3+ Mil RSS. My lev. Well, there were couple of lessons I learned from that incident. One, never leave Millions of RSS. Two, Pop a shield. Three, it's just a game. (lol the stomach gut feeling I had was severe that I almost deleted the game)
Anyways, thank you for doing the video and if possible, can you show Talent trees of each (main) Characters in One single video? for each purpose?
There are videos of showing some but I haven't seen the one from your videos where I can see all in one place (so I can follow your steps)

the question is , does trading post lvl effects this %30 or not ? Like maybe if your farm comes to same alliance to give you rss is better than attacking your farm ?!
if your farms trading post lvl makes it less cheaper than %30 , better to max trading post on farms ? Anyone with knowledge ?

You can preset armies using the arrow on the right hand side when selecting troops and commanders

Recently watched it! Really love your war videos and enjoy them. Thought Lohar is only used for killing neutral units, but can he be used for pvp just like you did?
I would not use lohar for pvp, that is not really what he's designed for.
Chisgule , i have a trick how to use dazzling starlight effeciently than what you did, i only spent 3 Times 6 smallest dazzling star to upgrade 30 / more percent in one shot, do you want to try , whether it works out or not
If im not mistaken its more than 50 percent in one go, and critical for sure, i upgrade my commander from three star to four star

How do you set those army presets?
Target a unit to attack (such as barbs). Then tap the arrow pointing right. Then pick a preset 1-5. I will try to show this in an upcoming video sometime this week

There is a 30% plundering tax. So you cannot get all the resources.
How did you figure that out? Trial?

You cant reduce it. But if you have farm account. Just need to level your trading post. Lvl 11 farm castle with lvl 11 trading post has 25% tax. Less 5% compaired to plundering.

Chisgule, Lohar and Joan of Arc is not good for attacking city, you should try Julius/Frederick or Joan/Hannibal, Joan/Julius, Joan/Scipio they will give more damage and less dead units. :-)
To be honest, I'm seldom attacking other player city because my max commander is Minamoto/Cao Cao/Eulji Moenduk and these commanders are not good for attacking city. I just hunt players rallying to us because of Cavalry Speed benefits.
Bro I use cao cao and power 700k have Spain civilization with Primary Eulji 4 star and Pelagius 3 star ..4 Star cao cao 2nd skill level2 ..can I reach high without spending money

How's the math when you plundering? I never did it but when someone attack my gatherer, I demand for revenge, I win ahainst his city but their resources even it a lot it is not worth it due to your troops dead

you dont get full rss that you scouted.... if you see in report 1mil you get about 750k. to raid good you need first commander that have conquering talent tree like scipio ir ferdrick have, that should be your first army and than the rest just send in like you did in the video
if you want help in attacking and more tips just ask me question you want to know i will answer. what i said above is the main things you need to know when attack because you have a little bit of knowledge from what i see in the video.

You probally killed 50k troops or more on each city easy lol. The kills in the raid then his hospital Camp .

@@SmoothJK if there was no tax then there would be no point to the courier station or farm accounts since u could just attack urself and get 100%
