That's what I love about this sport, the rich history and the respect it receives from future hall of famers like Kevin. Kevin, thank you for bringing that team some healing and hope for the future. If that seat wasn't filled with someone who could help the recovery of such a great loss like you did, who knows what the trajectory of RCR might have been. Pretty cool for SHR and Busch and all who needs to sign off to approve that 29 ride...pretty cool.
Harvick should be the greatest all time driver in nascar, not based off stats but how he done something no other person could have pulled off and made a damn name out of himself and had the career he’s had filling the biggest shoes thats ever been filled in nascar history, and did it his way
I was at that race in Atlanta. I was a big SR and JR fan. That is the day I became a Harvick fan. Winning that day brought many of us to tears. Thank you for all you have done in your career.
3 things -(1) Chill bumps- goose hair and salt water equals emotion.(2)He never tried to be #3 (3) We will miss you Kevin Harvick because you were just you kicking ass and going fast. You will be missed.#4 ever. Thanks for the ride!
Ok who here at SHR is cutting onions? After bawling like a baby all I can say is 2 things: that car is absoulute gorgeous (thank you Nascar for allowing this one time "rebranding") and second WIN!! ❤ #4ever
This brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Kevin really understood the gravity of what he was about to do in 2001. Everything he says is well thought out and it’s a wonderful tribute to his career and Dale, all at the same time. My eyes even get misty just typing this out. Well done and a great collaboration between NASCAR, RCR and SHR. This is going to be a HUGE deal. Thank you for this SPECTACULAR tribute.
Grew up a fan of Earnhardt and naturally had rooted for Harvick since day one. Next year will be the first time since I started following NASCAR in 1992 that I don't have a ultimate number one driver to root for. Thanks Kevin and great job.
The season just ended and he'll be forever 29 to me. Started off my childhood as a Dale fan and when he died, I couldn't take the fact that he was gone but I became a believer of Kevin after watching the Atlanta win on TV that Sunday afternoon. I'm in the same boat for the first time since I got into racing in general in the late '90s.
The car looks awesome, and you are going to put the final part that comes with it. We will miss you and that number on the track, but we know you have done more than your share in your career to put smiles on everybody face. You have given us half your life and we appreciate it. Can't wait to see it again and you in it. Go kick some a---.
No driver has made quite an impact on the sport, I hope Harvick’s retirement goes well and enjoys his final season with the memories of RCR, and the support of SHR. #4EVER
Damn it man I'm 38 and this video made me cry like my 4 year old daughter 😢 thank you for everything can't wait to see you behind the wheel of 29 one more time #4ever
That win in Atlanta made me a Harvick fan and nascar fan. With you retiring I couldn’t cheer for another. Not going be the same. Watching Brady retire and now you. An era is in ending in sports!!! Watched you finish 2nd twice in Dallas and watched you come back and win Kansas City. How special that was. Jackets, signed cars and helmets. I would buy anything that had your name on it. I’ve prayed for you and your family thru the years. Love you brother!!! Now go win one more championship!!!! Let’s go Harvick nation!!!
I teared up. I thought he was going to describe his final race in the 29. This is beyond Epic! I was a bigger fan of Nascar in general while Harvick was in the 29. For better or worse I pulled for him hard during those seasons and never fretted even when my bro-in-law randomly chose Jimmy Johnson to root for, lol. I never for a second doubted Harvick was the better driver if he had better equipment. Proof of that isn't just his success at SHR but whether RCR or SHR, team Harvick has always been the top dog in the stable every single season. Hardly ever was has there been a race when Harvick came home with anything less than the car and luck would allow. So while the mainstream remembers the most magic of the magic moments that number 29 reminds me of when I was rooting without a doubt for a talent that was being tragically underrated by a slumping organization. Richard Childress should have never let his wallet stop short of a Kevin Harvick cha.pionship. There would have never been a number 4, but what a legendary owner Richard would be if he had followed up on Number 3 with the same drive for number 29. Harvick as a rookie drove the hell out of the equipment meant for Earnhardt. Too bad RCR failed to deliver the same consistently for Harvick. I'm digressing. The 29 brings us back to the beginning of the adventure that we are inevitably seeing come to a close now. Let's up it a notch and have Todd Berrier join Childress in the booth while we are at it. Stewart was my second favorite driver. I'm not at all disappointed that SHR gave Harvick what he needed. They even switched from Chevy to Ford without missing a beat. I was just pointing out that Richard failed himself by failing Harvick which is why the 29 doesn't represent a team. It represents Harvick.Harvick made memorable a car and team that almost any other driver would have left forgettable. At the end of the day Harvick's legacy isn't split between numbers. It is fully represented by both. He has never waivered in his driver, determination, or skill. SHR didn't make Harvick. They cashed in on the fortune RCR was treating like loose change. What they did do for Harvick was give him the opportunity to make his legacy undeniable 4ever, and they gave the 29 the respect in hindsight it always deserved. One last ride with a SHR branded 29 is at least one thing right with our world today. Go get em!
I was such a huge Dale Earnhardt fan when we lost him at Daytona I didn't think I'd ever have a favorite driver again! But then Kevin Harvick came on the scene you've been my favorite driver ever since! Thank you for the Memories Kevin! God bless
Omgoodness this is awesome. I'm sure they are allowing it because it's the all-star race. But this is so special to your fans as well. To see you sit in a car with that big red 29 is going to be like a time machine. Love it.
At one time only the 3 held a special place in my heart. Thank you for what you did when you stepped into that car and how you conducted yourself as a person. Now there is a special place for the 29 right next to it.
As a Sr fan thank you Kevin. I was pulling for you in Busch that year. And you won the championship and rookie of the year in Cup. I'm a native Atlanta born. Thet was special like Dale's win there the year before
Kevin Harvick you are a legend and this is your final season in the Cup Series and good luck in the All-Star in the 29 car is always in your league #4EVER Proud
Got my shirt. Great career Kevin. 👏👏🍻can only imagine the beer being drank after your interviews after last race. Have fun. Hope other drivers will come knock a few cold ones back with ya👍
CONGRATULATIONS HAPPY. I've been a fan since the day you got behind the wheel of the 29 car. You made me a fan your driving your attitude everything. Thanks RCR and SMOKE for the 29 comeback.
Still gives me chills.. I feel like I can remember this like it was yesterday. I have so many diecast #29 cars. I sure hope I get to make it to a race this year and see him race for the first time..
I remember this kid from California in the trucks you'd hear a little skuttle butt on but nothing to indicate what was to come. Then the impossible, the unthinkable happened. Had the universe itself just broken? But then 3 weeks later sitting in the east turn at Atlanta, the universe was set aright. Been an absolute blast watching "Happy" these last 2 decades and can't think of a better send off than this. But like on a gloomy Sunday in March of 2001' a certain "intimidator" reached down and willed a young kid to that famous win and hoping now he might reach down one more time to give that kid one for the road. Only thing missing is Wonderboy in his Rainbow Warrior out there with the #29. Now that would be really special! Love it and some where in this I know RC had a hand so thanks RC.
I have been a fan since the day Harvick stepped into that car. The seat that he was asked to fill…… Kevin did it his way and I have been a fan since that day. Chevrolet is in my blood, but a Harvick fan is who I am. Always from RCR to SHR. I hasn’t mattered the brand on the Grill it’s been about the driver..
VERY cool. I wish it would be at this week's race at Atlanta instead of the Allstar race. You're 1st Atlanta race in the 29 and you're last Atlanta Spring race in the 29.
That’s going to be a best seller. 4Ever my favorite driver - trucks, Busch & Cup. Got my Kevin cardboard Budweiser cutout scaring those who pass my window in the shadows
It's too bad they didn't chose to race this scheme at Atlanta, but the All Star race at North Wilkesboro in it's return to the Cup schedule, where the 3 won so many times, maybe is the better choice.
I can describe this the best with Mike Joy's words, ''What could be more fitting? What could be more special?''
The emotion in Mike's voice still chokes me up 22 years later
Family knows.
That is the magic of the sport.
This has got to be the coolest #NASCAR retirement moment I've ever seen. 😭
Kevin Harvick's story on how he got into this sport is underrated.
^^^^
Maybe other than Dale JR Harvick had the most pressure after Dale died
Best paint scheme reveal ever! Breaking my heart but man, what a ride its been!
Damn…. That kinda hit deep

@@4vidit Well deserved
I’m a BIG SR. Fan kevin I saw your first race in the 29 and I can’t wait to see 29 on the track again hope you win 🏆 good luck

Awesome!! Really hope Harvick can win Atlanta to hold the 3 out window one last time!!
This is amazing and such a cool way to throwback. Proud of this one Kevin!
You’ve been my favorite driver since you were in that car at RCR. You’re the last great of our era gen x.
This brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Kevin really understood the gravity of what he was about to do in 2001. I’m not crying, you’re crying. Exactly how The Closer should close it out. Harvick 4ever!
That's fucking badass to use the 29 again!
Awesome scheme & awesome throwback. Go get 'em Kevin
This car would look a whole lot better with confetti on it

Congratulations harvick you prove to me for the couple of years
I'M SO FRIGGIN EXCITED
Not gonna lie some man tears Def shed. I love this man and Sr/RCR
At one time only the 3 held a special place in my heart. Thank you for what you did when you stepped into that car and how you conducted yourself as a person. Now there is a special place for the 29 right next to it.
Go get ‘em Kevin! You have made us all “proud” Best of Luck “4ever”. 🍀🍀🍀
Words fail me. I do believe I still have your first win on VHS tape. From when I was in the Marines. Harvick fan 4ever
I love you Kevin! 4EVER a Harvick fan. So excited to see the 29 again.
That’s instantly a hall of fame race car. Now let’s see it win!
Holding those 3 fingers up on the victory lap was the classiest move ever by any NA$CAR driver!
It's perfect. Not one thing that lacks emotion, tribute and remembering where it all started(car number wise). Well done!
I am speechless. This is amazing.
To the people involved in this. I just want to thank you for coming together and putting this together. This is so cool of you guys to do this.
God damn it. I just saw the thumbnail to this while making something and i'm crying all over again.
Great way to go out. You're amazing Kevin! This is a perfect sendoff.
Well that gave me chills, please make this a diecast 💪
First! (And here I go again--how many times am I gonna bawl my eyes out this season???)😭🥰
Box Of Tissues Warning 😉😇
The closer!!!!!
Kevin Harvick was the good that came from the bad. Hate to see him retire. End of an era. Thanks for the memories Kevin.
As a Sr fan thank you Kevin. I was pulling for you in Busch that year. And you won the championship and rookie of the year in Cup. I'm a native Atlanta born. Thet was special like Dale's win there the year before

My favourite driver. Love this man. Can't wait to see the 29 car again.
This is a bitter sweet moment for sure.
This is awesome, The man that took the wheel for “ THE MAN” having one last ride in the 29. 3 4ever
Got my shirt. Great career Kevin. 👏👏🍻can only imagine the beer being drank after your interviews after last race. Have fun. Hope other drivers will come knock a few cold ones back with ya👍
I can't believe how long it's been now. So glad to see this
CONGRATULATIONS HAPPY. I've been a fan since the day you got behind the wheel of the 29 car. You made me a fan your driving your attitude everything. Thanks RCR and SMOKE for the 29 comeback.
That's awesome.
I have pics with the 29 show car from his first year.
Still gives me chills.. I feel like I can remember this like it was yesterday. I have so many diecast #29 cars. I sure hope I get to make it to a race this year and see him race for the first time..
This will be the first time the 29 and the 3 will be on the track together
I swear, I’m not crying right now!! Well, maybe just a little bit!
😢 this is awesome 😎😎😎😎
The old days
I hope we can see you in that 2003 paint scheme one last time as well. That was the best looking paint scheme of ALL TIME !
Awesome way to say everything you have done
I cried when you won that Atlanta race. I so.. Hope this car will be a diecast🔥🤩

ALL CLASS right from the beginning!! Nobody better in my opinion.
Real cool looking forward to the race
I have been a fan since the day Harvick stepped into that car. The seat that he was asked to fill…… Kevin did it his way and I have been a fan since that day. Chevrolet is in my blood, but a Harvick fan is who I am. Always from RCR to SHR. I hasn’t mattered the brand on the Grill it’s been about the driver..
The 29 returns awesome 😎
A legend in his own , and Yes , i feel Dale is Proud and looking down on us all for we all are truly blessed .
this is so cool. im glad you guys are doing this
Close to a year later, it's still breathtaking.
VERY cool. I wish it would be at this week's race at Atlanta instead of the Allstar race. You're 1st Atlanta race in the 29 and you're last Atlanta Spring race in the 29.
Love it!!!! GO #29
Love it. This hit right.
If he (3) were here today . . .
. . . he couldn't be any more proud of Kevin Harvick and his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
THREE of my Heros.
Amazing
What a champ!!’
if you aren’t crying to this, you are a bot. 😭
Got all in my feelings on this
That’s going to be a best seller. 4Ever my favorite driver - trucks, Busch & Cup. Got my Kevin cardboard Budweiser cutout scaring those who pass my window in the shadows
❤😭 LETS RIDE!!!!
we all are gonna miss him
Haven’t been this emotional since the tribute for Dale Jr made by Budweiser featuring “The Night We Met”… 😢
Let's go Kevin!
I think that's awesome 👍❤️
Finally someone that actually has a hellcat sounding damn good
I love this idea
And I still remember what you did to chase that one time with the old car
I'm not crying, you're crying! 😄
I LOVE IT.
When I see that paint scheme I get emotional
If Kevin Harvick's retirement tour is teaching me anything, it's that I won't be ready for Kyle Busch's farewell.
Beautiful, it needs the 3 decal on it to make it official
He didn’t have a three on the car in Atlanta did he?
@@mesquitegirl2013 there was a small #3 decal just under the driver's window net.
I always loved that detail
It's too bad they didn't chose to race this scheme at Atlanta, but the All Star race at North Wilkesboro in it's return to the Cup schedule, where the 3 won so many times, maybe is the better choice.
I think they should run it again at the second Atlanta race. Give it a proper send off
Atlanta is a points race, so it wouldn’t work there
Try, try, try, let it ride ,good luck and have a smile.
This is really cool
Hell yeah!
Will be missed ☝️🏆🏆 #smoke #happy #rowdy all ☝️🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
