Agreed but even braced it's still the worst idea to face subs at any roof. Idiots believe the wall will be so much better lmao n ya in some cases but a simple flip of box n a couple 6 or 4 inch legs I promise just the flip will gain near 1 db and WILL AGAIN WILL improve sound instantly the impact felt in your chest might actually be uncomfortable lol I try telling fellas about the common fkn sense in it's simple form of thought!!! Guess it's too complex even when I ask if they pack fat chick's on the roof like they hide them hogs under the tint lol floor might whine a bit but put a damn leg on that roof smh my 150lb leg lmao u get it man glad to know a brain works through all the fun today.

Wtf did i just read? Not a single setup down firing has outperformed the proven sub up, port back design for open cab vehicles. Only better option is walled 4th or 6th order.

That thing slaps HARD you can tell! I just finished my test fit install but I need more power... thought I would have enough, turns out a need a couple more cells at least. Just crammed two 15" SHOK Elite X's in a 350z. I suspect when I get more power and can really turn it up, I'm going to break something. At half volume it's already savage af. Anyway, keep making videos man I've been watching your content for a couple of years now. It's awesome to see your channel growing!

Show me that, I've had 2 sundown 8s in a 350z years ago in high-school built 2 different boxes ones that kept the back together and one that I removed the spare tire to fit I have both set ups on my channel, but I would like to see yours.

If it’s a open air motor with 5in coil it could damn near double in watts. Givin winding gage and layer. I designed on that will do 4k program all day long and it’s a 21in Pro sound neo with 5in. Hell that’s was designed in 2010 still runs on the original coil.

That old ass truck bout to fall apart I think when people do these builds they need to customize the solidness of inside frame and maybe plexi glass or metal with a nice finish would be great

They are hitting very hard. When you listen to the audio what is it that you are looking for to judge their systems?
Usually you're looking for SPL. High decibels at a low frequency. Playing 27hz at 150db is much harder to do, than playing 40hz at 150db.

He competes but alot of ppl have big no wall systems nd just do it because their bassheads.

36" of Xmax would be quite good.
Shoulda tuned it a lil higher, the large box and the size of the woofers will already play crazy low. The higher tuning will make it louder and give it a more wider bandwidth and still be able to hit the low frequencies. Plus it will sound a lot better.
It had plenty of bandwidth. Was tuned right at 28/29. Did 60s I’m pretty sure it was fine.
It’s also aero ports all he’s gotta do is shorten them to raise tuning

62.x in the kick. 61.x dash door open. Never tested sealed due to competing bass outlaws at time. That was scores before wood roof and wood hatch. Blew sub before re testing that build

What your opinion on psi better than sundown? About 6 years ago was going for psi but ended up with dc audio
@@jimt5683psi and sundown are both great companies. Just depends on the application. David can build you anything with psi but is 1 man. If doing stock subs can get recones in 2-3 days with sundown.
