Nope, he’s a deadbeat. My sisters husband has a child from his first marriage and when he gets off work on Friday, they drive two hours to spend the weekend with his son. Even if he didn’t get off until Saturday, that would still be at least a day together. Leave around 4 on Sunday and you can get home, get your work clothes ready and have a good nights sleep. This man is clearly making excuses and I can’t imagine just abandoning my own child like that.

In the first segment, I kinda did what the father had done. I have up my rights and had my "son" put up for adoption. The reason for me doing this was because of my diabetes being off balanced back during the time he was born. Back then, I used to have low blood sugar comatose reactions where I would fight whomever tried to help me out. To top it all off, I didn't know what I was doing and never remembered what happened. I would fight, scratch, punch whomever and never realized it. My mind was blank and I wasn't seeing anything. I couldn't hear or see anything happening around me. I woke up from those reactions where I'm being held by someone like cops or a roommate. If I had my "son" during those times and I'm alone with him, I might have killed him. So, through children's aid society of Ottawa Ontario Canada, I put him up for adoption. The boy was born in 2000.

Depending on the state you are in you cant get off child support because you want to sign your rights away. They will dissolve your rights and you wont have physical custody but you still have to pay.

If the guy has no feelings and questions his own capabilities of being a father, then he is correct to make it possible for that child to have a better life without him. He's had no repsonsibility. Why force it upon him. Give that child the chance to be surrounded by people who love her....And not by someone who doesn't want anything to do with her. Think of the happiness of the child. Flesh and blood makes no difference.
Steve wasn't trying to do that. What he was trying to do was get that guy to understand that when his daughter gets older and starts wonder why her biological father abandoned her, signed his rights away, and didn't love her enough to be there or even want to be there and she goes and finds him asks and he tells her because of money that's damage her self esteem, her self worth, and her mental health. They are trying to get him to understand from that perspective.
Who becomes financially responsible for the child in your scenario? The single mom AND THE TAXPAYERS. In most jurisdictions in the US, that’s not permitted for obvious reasons.

Have you ever went trough a fight like that? I bet you didn't. System is rigged in mothers favor. All the system does is bounce you from social service to court and back again just to be told you must go to the court. It's neverending story with that. It took me 13 years to be with my boy and still that was couse social workers took him from his mother...

In the first segment, I kinda did what the father had done. I have up my rights and had my "son" put up for adoption. The reason for me doing this was because of my diabetes being off balanced back during the time he was born.
Back then, I used to have low blood sugar comatose reactions where I would fight whomever tried to help me out. To top it all off, I didn't know what I was doing and never remembered what happened.
I would fight, scratch, punch whomever and never realized it. My mind was blank and I wasn't seeing anything. I couldn't hear or see anything happening around me. I woke up from those reactions where I'm being held by someone like cops or a roommate.
If I had my "son" during those times and I'm alone with him, I might have killed him. So, through children's aid society of Ottawa Ontario Canada, I put him up for adoption. The boy was born in 2000.
You did what was best for him due to medical issues and that’s perfectly okay and understandable bc you didnt want to end up hurting him during an episode and one day he will understand (i mean he’s in 20s by now)

Depending on the state you are in you cant get off child support because you want to sign your rights away. They will dissolve your rights and you wont have physical custody but you still have to pay.

For the first story, I do understand why people are upset, but I've never understood why it's ok for a mother to put her child up for adoption or take her child to a "safe place" and relinquish them when she can't handle it but for a father, he can't choose not to be a dad. He has to be a father even if he's not ready to, he has to pay child support even if they take so much money from him that he can't pay his own bills. Idk. That's why I decided at a young age to have kids with a man who wants them and will be there for them all the time.
