Come along for a visit to Long Island on a beautiful early-April Saturday. An immensely sincere thank you goes out to my brother-from-another-mother who made this awesome trip possible.

Great Kyle. I didn't know about NASSAU Tower as the days of the LIRR til now. In my opinion I say save it. IT's part of history.

Very nice video which brought back some fond memories of the LIRR when I was working in the USA and had to commute from Penn Station to Valley Stream.

Great video! The modern LIRR has always intrigued me, not only because of its third rail system, but because of how drastically different it is from basically all the other railroads in the USA. The train designs range from very European (like the bi-level cars in the first shot) to subway type cars to the standard American diesel freight runs. Then there's the way train control ranges from automatic to CTC and even train orders!

Narrator talked about signal improvements. Does that mean getting rid of the totally awesome classic PRR signals?
