Thank you for sharing something from your playlist, I am starting as a DJ here in Tijuana, and this has given me an idea of what music tourists from the USA like to do their parties here like.
Killer Setup dude. Im going to be DJing my daughters Senior prom this year and you have given me some great ideas. Got to get me some moving heads ASAP
100hz crossover point. High pass / low cut on the tops so they don't have to worry about playing bass. Everything lower than 100hz is handled by the subs
Here is the thing. Rick probably already explained but... If you put the srx at 100hz the frequencies below that will be cut Therefore you MUST (at least best) cross your subs at 100hz. But better since you have the srx828sp, there is a preset named srx sub (on the dsp of your srx815 (the screen) which will be the best crossover frequency for the SRX tops with the SRX subs. Keep in mind you also have to preset the subs to srx tops (also can be set from the dsp screen on your subs) If you preset your speakers to 100hz but the subs at 80, you will have a major spl dip at 80-100hz (maybe around 6db) So best cross them at the same frequency 100hz with 100hz. If you want best results, use the srx top. Hope this helped anyone that sees this comment. 👍👍👍
That was next level right there! Nice setup and nice job keeping them kids hype! Truly learn a lot from your gig logs. Keep me coming. Would love to one day follow you on one of your gigs. I’m over near Asheville, NC. Could learn a lot from you especially on the lighting side. Keep up the good work and best of luck to you in your new business!
Rick, this is a very nice setup. I really like your gig logs. Very well explained and very professional setup. Very cool. I really with I can put together this. I'm doing this little by little but I will get there. Thank you for sharing
lol if you “complain” about the SRXs having too much power on the 100hz crossover, why don’t you set a lower crossover point at like 80hz? they will match the subs perfectly fine and you’ll even get a little more bass :)
The perfectionism is a huge problem for me, I would do everything myself if I could. But at some gigs it's simply impossible to get everything set up in time just by yourself.
Grab yourself a clamp meter, so much easier to move and check your powerdraw, also handy do push some pink noise thru and check power draw once the limiters kick in, print a label on the back of your gear as reference
Great job looks all clean and music selection is on point. Gosh i don’t know how you feel about this kids getting up on your Subwoofers and jumping on them. I can’t stand that.
I know we need to suck it up and keep our professionalism service lol no disrespect at all to you just a advice from me to you. On your stage next time put a black cover around it. Will look a lot nicer other then that I love the look and clean looking set up no wires hanging or wires visible. Keep up the good work.
Yes. I dont normally have a problem with the vrx subs since they have a large surface area in contact with the floor, but the prx 715xlf will literally walk 2 ft away during a gig if there not strapped lol.
Awesome gig log!!! Where did you order your glow foam sticks from? do you hand them out do you sell them or include them in your package ? Asking for advice. Thanks in advance !!
What is the song you used for the edm song you used for the video, can't remember. Awesome gig btw, way better than any of my school dances. All rap sucks.
sick party rick, quick question: how do you let girls go on top of your subs? I suppose they wear heels and maybe they could get them on the pole hole? XD Maybe putting a table and securing it with the strips over them would help?
Can you please do a video on your playlists because u are my absolute inspiration and inspire me to want to be a DJ and a video on your playlists woud be great 👍
Doooooope! We ordered the same foam sticks but they didnt last long at the dance. They kind of all stopped working after like 20 minutes. Did you have the same experience with them? Great work as always!
Great job bro! Your setups are truly amazing! I love your attention to detail. And oh yeah.. Your track selections and blends are dope! One question. Are they standing on your speaker cabinets?
Meadowbrook HS? Dude! You aren't that far from where I live. You ever heard of QUAD (Spring4th, Red Door)? I worked there 2006-2011, they called me Vortex.
Yo can we get a link to the Kilwat (SP?) device & a link to the device you use to measure DBs? Solid video for sure... absolutely stuff a DJ needs to know...
what do you think of the new BTAIR and the bluetooth lights that are out so far ....that you can do off ur phone ?......i am getting into light stuff soon and i dont want to get into dmx and wires ....so deff looking into that stuff ( also where u at in NC now cuz i am in fayetteville area
Greensboro. one of my buddies lives in Fayetteville. And I am half for half against it. Its cool and works really well, but if you use a bunch of pars and you spread them out you will see a delay between them changing from mode to mode from the phone. The lights closest to you will change very quick and then the lights farthest from you will have a slight delay since the signal is passing from light to light via Bluetooth to reach it. So it has its ups and downs I used it for a solid 3 hours messing with the functions and stuff. Its way better than sound active though
They might be tough and heavy as I own some JBLs just like em, but my house floor doesn't cost $500 per square foot like those subs do. I would be pissed if someone started dancing on my speakers. You are a baller these days so prolly no big deal if they ruin your speakers.

Bro awesome! Where did you buy the stage?
I bought it used for a steal. Not sure manufacturer off top my head
Great show! Did your buy pipe & drape? How much does that cost, & how much can we charge a client for it?
DJ Rick Web great video .. where did you get your shirt with logo made?
Vista print
having a camera man makes gig logs more interesting tbh
i really dont remember recording any this ctfu
Best video yet, that setup is awesome but its also attainable to most DJs. It just proves small companies can do BIG events with a bit of thought
LMAO All the kids singing the Unedited Lyrics to "Low".
Great video! I am still watching it
Thank you for sharing something from your playlist, I am starting as a DJ here in Tijuana, and this has given me an idea of what music tourists from the USA like to do their parties here like.
KILLED it!! This honestly made me so hype for the new school year of events coming up.
What's up Rick! What a party. Like your Gig logs. Keep them coming.
Holy shit man, that looks insane. Mad respect
You and me both now using the Arnoldo countdown at the end!
Im from Germany, and i love you Gig Logs!!
Man this was awesome. That set up and all the equipment. You are the man!!
Once again a stellar performance.
Really Good video... Doing my first homecoming this Friday. This helped a lot..
Killer Setup dude. Im going to be DJing my daughters Senior prom this year and you have given me some great ideas. Got to get me some moving heads ASAP
DJRW this party was LIT AF YO! That high school would have danced for 3 daym days. Great work sir!
WOW!!! What a great setup Bro!! Massive and there's room for more!! Can't wait for the next one!! So Many ideas!!!
This is why we need to collab so I can bring this down to your area. Maybe for one of those lit college events!! Lol
You are Absolutely right!! This needs to happen Sooner than Later!!
Can you make a video explaining what you mean by 100hz on the srx? (Tell me more)
Its audio nerd talk. But I'll work on it. Basically means no bass is going to the top (srx).
100hz crossover point. High pass / low cut on the tops so they don't have to worry about playing bass. Everything lower than 100hz is handled by the subs
@@christopherelson5119 Can you gays work together in a video on a very cool GIG LOG
We already did lol.
Here is the thing. Rick probably already explained but...

Awesome job! Love watching your Gig Logs! Subscribed to you!
Badass set up explanation even got down to the power usage 👌👌
I love @ 30:30 when you announced the dance was over, they just walked out of there, not even thanking you guys. Thats why F school dances.
Sonner in life when i get married and have a party....
Definitely choosing Dj Rick Web as the dj, no questions asked!
9 amps for lighting is really good. You could basically run the entire lighting rig from a single house hold plug.
Hit me up sometime. Should be doing a winter ish dance in greensboro soon
Awesome! Will do. Thanks!!!
More videos like this! You are an awesome DJ. Big inspiration! :)
Lol. Nice set. The kids cut quick to the after party. Haha
Rick, this is a very nice setup. I really like your gig logs. Very well explained and very professional setup. Very cool. I really with I can put together this. I'm doing this little by little but I will get there. Thank you for sharing
you're setup are so neat! keep it up rick. cable management is perfect!
Damn those two extra inno spots make a difference now!
Omg killing it my dude and that setup is awesome!!!
Man ur channel has come such along way from the older vids. Congrats on your success
I really like your dmx programming Can you make a video on it? Please make a video on Programming lights like yours.
After the cable series concludes I am diving into lighting videos
Wow that was nice! Can't wait for the new one!
Notification goes off i drop what im doing
Damn dude you really are an inspiration. I can only hope to be on your level one day! Keep up the great work homie!
thumbs up man, i respect your game. keep it up
lol if you “complain” about the SRXs having too much power on the 100hz crossover, why don’t you set a lower crossover point at like 80hz? they will match the subs perfectly fine and you’ll even get a little more bass :)
They left the room so fast when he said “we done”
Love watching these vids
Keep up the great work. Im learning
I hope to come to America and meet you one day as I’m Aussie! :D
Dude I luv your new setup!
Wow that is amazing set up
that low intro edit is awesome
Where did you get that edit at? I work with Rock the house entertainment located in Ohio
The perfectionism is a huge problem for me, I would do everything myself if I could. But at some gigs it's simply impossible to get everything set up in time just by yourself.

koolkiwikat can you show me what you’re referring to? I need all the help I can get with power.
Looking badasss Dj Rick web and sleek 😎😎👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾😎😎😎
Whats the name of the ed sheeran perfect remix 7:00? So sick
Bravo! Nice work!
Great job looks all clean and music selection is on point. Gosh i don’t know how you feel about this kids getting up on your Subwoofers and jumping on them. I can’t stand that.
I encourage it.

That's a nice set up
You Just Set The Bar For Gig Logs Rick !!
Crap then I am about to break it cus this is just warming up. I just did one 3 times this.
I like the flight case trick... I actually wish they sold something that can move but legal.
If you're ever in Colorado PLEASE come to Thompson Valley we desperately need a good dj and you're hype as fuck !!
Hey for the right budget we will travel anywhere lol
i just got an ad for the ear plugs you have at 7:57 the hero somethings weird right? lol XD
Sounds like that company did some really good marketing campaigns
Ayy it’s finally here !
Again awesome video bro awesome party this is my DJ specific channel holla at ya boy lol.
26:10 at this moment y’all at a festival 😭 this is lit🔥🔥🔥
Post your playlist from popular proms. Or what songs you play please.
It's on Instagram man.
Great Vid Rick....is strapping your subs together to keep them from crawling away? I have noticed my EV likes to move a bit.
Yes. I dont normally have a problem with the vrx subs since they have a large surface area in contact with the floor, but the prx 715xlf will literally walk 2 ft away during a gig if there not strapped lol.
I've noticed you've used 'All I Do Is Win Remix' quite often, but can't seem to find that song?
Lol good luck finding it. It's one of those I got it from a DJ who got it from another DJ thing
Cool video do you let the kids keep the form sticks or do you request them back?
Keep them they are really cheap
6:33
anyone who knows the song name? shazam does not recognize it sadly
Jan 1 its a custom mashup
A dj made it and probably didn’t publish it
live the night vs lil jon gtfo the club
Awesome gig log!!!
Where did you order your glow foam sticks from? do you hand them out do you sell them or include them in your package ? Asking for advice.
Thanks in advance !!
Amazon. Include in package and throw out into crowd
What is the song you used for the edm song you used for the video, can't remember. Awesome gig btw, way better than any of my school dances. All rap sucks.
sick party rick, quick question:
how do you let girls go on top of your subs? I suppose they wear heels and maybe they could get them on the pole hole? XD Maybe putting a table and securing it with the strips over them would help?
Because the subs can handle the weight. And they all take there heels off at the dance.
Great video man, keep it up
You should snag some more fog machines for hype bass drops
Been waiting for this one
Do you remember what remix of shots you used during the soundcheck?
Can you please do a video on your playlists because u are my absolute inspiration and inspire me to want to be a DJ and a video on your playlists woud be great 👍
My playlist is on my instagram
Yeah, don't play sketchy songs with cuss words. Schools will not like that IDK how he played them and got away with it. Guess this school dgaf haha
Nice setup.
Hi Rick, I live in Belgium (Europe). I wonder which decibel meter you have and is it reliable and not too expensive? You make very nice videos.
It's like the first result on amazon. Cost like 25 bucks. And its accurate enough to help me judge levels in the room and helps me with the eq
I need that yeah hype intro where you get it
DMS
nice set up
That lil Jon song never fails
Very good job bro!
Fantastic!!!
geat home coming disco dj rig web cool bro
Can someone link me to the "All I do is win" I kinda wanna use it at my next gig xD
Doooooope! We ordered the same foam sticks but they didnt last long at the dance. They kind of all stopped working after like 20 minutes. Did you have the same experience with them? Great work as always!
No mine worked fine
Do you mind people jumping and standing on your subwoofers or are they able to cope with that sort of use?
Don't mind. It helps hype the kids up. And subwoofers are designed to stack 3 to 4 high and can easily take the weight.
Form where did you get all your songs. I think you said you have over 10k songs on your hard drive?
Over 28k. And music pools over time.
Okay this one was lit, and at least you didn’t play Every time We Touch
But nobody likes Gasolina just look at the reaction
You should put lighting pars behind the pipe and drape
Not trying to draw attention to it. Plus it's not in the budget
Great job bro!
Your setups are truly amazing!
I love your attention to detail.
And oh yeah.. Your track selections and blends are dope!
One question. Are they standing on your speaker cabinets?
Yeah I always let them stand on the subs. Adds to the club environment and hypes the crowd up.
@@DJRickWeb that doesn't cause damage to the cabinets? Wow those are very sturdy speakers!
No not at all. Subs are designed out of 1/2 or 3/4 inch plywood. And are made to stack 3 or 4 high. Which means they can easily hold 300 lbs a piece.
Meadowbrook HS? Dude! You aren't that far from where I live. You ever heard of QUAD (Spring4th, Red Door)? I worked there 2006-2011, they called me Vortex.
I traveled 6 hours to do Meadowbrook lol.
Ahhh, I see, you did mention something about Columbus in the video that I missed the first time through.
Hey dj rick webb if u would buy a srx728 subs what amp can you recommend on a budget but it gives high power
I wouldn't know I be buying either a crown ma or crown it series amp for them.
Cool trailer
Ur only using a rgb thing for the light. Missing a good strobe, lasers etc
Budget setup. And the wash fx2 is plenty for a strobe
Lit! Literally
Awesome gig! Insane Setup ! One question: how is the Song called at 17:03?😅
Where did you get that hosa extension cords for your truss. With extra outfits.
Amazon
@Dj Rick Web who makes your stage (company + Link if aplicable please)
hi djrickweb brilliant video and is it better with two laptops when i'm djin?
What is your ? Kinda lost
Should I get another laptop if my first laptop brokes down djrickweb?
You should always have a backup laptop, iPad or something
@@DJRickWeb okay I will get a Bluetooth receiver to plug into the sound board with my laptop in the aux splitter for my tablet
What is that app on your tablet?
The dbx driverack pa2 app
Yo can we get a link to the Kilwat (SP?) device & a link to the device you use to measure DBs? Solid video for sure... absolutely stuff a DJ needs to know...
It will be updated in future videos
what do you think of the new BTAIR and the bluetooth lights that are out so far ....that you can do off ur phone ?......i am getting into light stuff soon and i dont want to get into dmx and wires ....so deff looking into that stuff ( also where u at in NC now cuz i am in fayetteville area
Greensboro. one of my buddies lives in Fayetteville.
How much should a DJ pay a helper per 4 hr gig?
10 an hour is what I pay. I also normally but dinner or lunch
Those subs aren’t cheap but you have 4 or 5 people stood on them. What are the cases made from?
3/4 birchwood.
Same material your floor is made off.
So they are pretty strong??
Absolutely
They might be tough and heavy as I own some JBLs just like em, but my house floor doesn't cost $500 per square foot like those subs do. I would be pissed if someone started dancing on my speakers. You are a baller these days so prolly no big deal if they ruin your speakers.
