Odessa, Ukraine 🇺🇦 is beautiful I love the old feel of the European style town and the roads are made with cobblestone.

That is insanely cheap and so nice & clean!! In the US a cheap hotel is $60-80/night and it is scary! $120 is good & clean but not fancy, $160+ is updated and very clean. Usually comes with free buffet breakfast. Love seeing life across the world in your videos!!
We make a lot more money than people in Ukraine.
Can't really compare.
In the US, it would cost $80.00 to well over $100.00 a night to stay in a room like that. Love your channel, it's full of life, family, and of course Luba's wonderful cooking channel. Please be safe and keep the wonderful videos coming.

I think the little apartment is great! It's clean and modern inside and it has that little kitchen with everything you need in it. It's amazing how a small space can be arranged so that it's comfortable.

My nearest large city is Winnipeg, in Canada 🇨🇦. It is not a resort city and doesn’t attract many tourists. The lowest Air B&N in the downtown area in $85 US per night. You definitely found a great deal!
Puzata Hata was my favourite restaurant in Ukraine :) I was visiting it 3 - 5 times a day.
I was paying $24 dollars per night for a sh1tty hotel in Kyiv 5 years ago and so far, it was one of the nastiest places I ever stayed at.
What you guys are paying is very reasonable.

I have relatives both in Odessa and Kiev . I am an American. My mother was Ukrainian but American first generation. I was raised in the Ukrainian Byzantine Rite Church and Schools in Chester, Pennsylvania. I had Aunts that visited our relatives in the late 60's and early 70's going through Canada to visit.
I recently spent a night in a hotel in Berlin. It did cost 60€. Bathroom in the hallway, dirty, loud, small... Your accommodation was great!

Very nice apt. Alot better then my 1 room on the 6th floor at $ 675 monthly. All electric which is expensive, but the cockroachs are free. I like the loft.

Wow! In my country we can’t even camp in the dirt in our own tent for that price! Very modern. I’d expect at least $150 a night here in the US of A. Great story as always.

We used to put tape on the windows when there were hurricanes so it's not surprising to see it. We put some on the windows in 2004 and some of the windows, we still can't get it off....
I think it's great. Updated, clean and cheap everything we don't have here in the US lol

That room looks nice, for that price i think its great. The building and the starway looks horrible but room seems decent despite being small.

In every country there are fortunate and miserable people, living in the same country under so much different conditions. By just watching this video, who could believe that this country is at war with Russia since Feb. 2022 ? I see young and healthy guys walking on streets including Pavlo, why they are not under military service defending their country and freedom ? I don`t get it.

That apt is perfect for a short stay in Odessa. I stayed in a similar one when I visited the city for a good price, much better than a hotel and far better value. Forget staying in hotels.

That's a good price for that apartment. Rent prices for apartments in Ukraine are in general very low at the moment. We rented an apartment in Kyiv last week, close to center and metro and payed € 104,00 for 5 days.
It was a normal apartment, not small with everything in it.
The owner told us that business is bad at the moment.

Tiny but advanced, enjoy yourself
If your objectives are simply to have a place to sleep, get cleaned up and feel safe- I think $8 per night ( US) fantastic! If objectives include entertaining, meal preparation, long term (2 week) stay you would simply need more space and dining- cooking opportunities.

This is very interesting video. There is a war in your country. Refugees from Ukraine are all over the Europe, its impossible to escape from war news and you two take holiday and enjoy. Bravo!
Almost anywhere is good, with the right company, you got that covered. You can't flush the toilet for 28$, 3 nights on a place like that, in a city like Odessa, in the USA. Min. 100$ a night, that clean, 150$. You get out in the hinterlands, say a Nat. Park, maybe 25$ a night, and that will dry up quick in the peak season, 50$/ngt on average.
That seems like a good value for the space you have. I'd be happy to stay there for a few days.
That hotel suite is something close to around $37 CDN after currency conversion from US dollars. That's a steal compared to here in Western Canada. We would probably be easily paying somewhere over $300 CDN a night during high season - Summer months. Off season - Winter months, it would be cheaper per night.
Thanks for showing these places that tourists would probably not know about. I prefer towns and villages that most people have never heard of, in order to see the real country.
Odessa is the 3rd largest city in Ukraine and one of the most turistic.
I loved the video, and the spirit of Odesa. I think Luba felt, that for our benefit you had given her slightly cheap accommodation. But she had clearly forgiven you 💙💛

I have an Airbnb and it’s $151 per night, $9.50 per night is pretty good and it looks clean.
It's a good place. Dry, private and clean so yes I would stay there.
Given your present situation, US $9/day is a very good price. Especially if you're "out & about" during the day and just need a basic, clean, secure home for the evening/night, it seems to be a super bargain.
Great condition !😊 and cheap! I paid a similar price for a room in a crappy hotel in Brisbane 48yrs ago!
