- How to build a cigar box guitar - The 6 string Red Neck CGB. I am showing the finished 6 string Cigar Box Guitar I built, using a cheap guitar I bought on Craigslist. Looks great and sounds good too.

Great video Michael. A trick I learned for getting rust and gunk off old tools is to soak them in a pan of white vinegar. Works well and is much safer than the charcoal lighter fluid. That method might work well here too.

How about converting a 4 string CBG into a 6 string just by changing the neck.
And also changing out some of the other fittings too.

Hey Michael, you do such a great job on everything you do. I have a question, I have a Tele style neck and want to do one of these. Do you have to put any kind of ankle on the neck, or just mount it flat to the board that goes through the box. Keep up the good work buddy!
