I've never found Eminem offensive. He's just speaking his mind. A genius word smith and poet. Great reaction.
Damn straight✌
oh he is offensive all right. It is why he is loved as well lol.
He's the type of offensive that some can't get offended by cause most of what he says is amusing anyways. You'd have too be the other sensitive type of people to find it offensive like the ones who didn't understand him or where he was coming from in the first place. Some of what he says is based on what he went through But other stuff he says is just a creative way of getting back at people and also just having fun with his Ryhmes.
@@patrickschrag3200 idk what world you live in but eminem was politically incorrect, which means he didnt hold back his humor and was raunchy. Ofc people were offended. Idk what reality you two people live in where people werent offended by what he said or did.
@@steverogers6572 First of all I never said people weren't offended by what he says in his music, I said "some people aren't as easily offended by his music as others are". You either read it wrong or you might be living on your own reality. Anyone who listens to old Eminem knows about how he was and yes he is rapping about his life even though atleast some of it is just for fun to poke fun at other people cause he didn't care.
He would've have cared about trying too offend people if people were already getting offending by it in the first place.
That's the era of the whole Slim Shady/Marshal Mathers persona he did
You've got to give it to Eminem he is a lyrical genius, and literally doesn't give 2 fks what people think of him and he is his own person. He's told his life story tho his music and the future is yet to be written.
I'm not a huge rap fan, but Em is the Shakespeare of rap music. You just can't deny how well he uses language in his raps, his vocabulary, etc.
There are a lot of pop culture references in the song that are rapidly aging towards oblivion.
Which means I'm doing the same 😭
Oblivion? Lmao
@@meghanmonroe 😂😂😂
On point... All these songs are so much better when understanding the context.
@@meghanmonroe aren't we all XDD
Even if ur not an Eminem fan, which i am, u have to respect his creativity
I guess there's a Slim Shady in all of us...
Fk it, let's all stand up.
This man is way past genius with his lyrics. I wasn't really a fan until recently. Even before I really liked him, I did respect him. He's an amazing artist. Hilarious lyrics sometimes too. I like the fact that sometimes he gives respect to Dr. Dre in his music. He's a good guy.
The lyric "Dr Dre said.... nothing, Dr Dre's dead, he's locked in my basement" .... is a riff on the fact he was forever giving Dre props in his songs. It was very clever because it caught you off guard back in the day.
Barely a minute in, and you're enjoying tf outta this. His candor is refreshing. No bs whatsoever. And yes those beats!
Eminem "lose yourself' gives me Goosebumps every time I hear it, and I've heard it a lot lol. If you haven't seen the film 8mile you should.
Eminem's 1st announcement "Im here!!!!". You should check out "The way I am" & "Haileys Song" to get an idea on how varied his rap skills are
The next song for you to react to needs to be Lose Control by Missy Elliott (if you haven't done so already)
Like I said before, he is a real wordsmith! Remembering the Grammys, and he sang this song, and he also sang with Elton John who thinks Eminem is worthy, lol. You should take a listen to "The Monster", "Love the way you Lie".
The M.t.v music awards performance for this song is great, especially when they pan to people in the audience who get mentioned in the song 😛
Check out his live Video Music award performance of it from 2000.
I was thinking the same thing-legendary!
His "dis' of Freddie Prinze Jr was classic.
Hell yeah!
This song is a the "Gateway drug" for lots of people into rap...I used to think rap was just about rap*, ending life of cops and songs like that until i heard this one, which led me to explore further
This is how the world was introduced to Slim Shady/Eminem in ‘99…
And it's been downhill ever since.
He and Dr. Dre's collaboration are the best. 🤣🤣🤣Love Eminem 😊😊😊 Please react to Stan next
I've been an Eminem fan from the beginning. He's just a gifted artist that makes other artists just pure jealous. He doesn't crave the Hollywood spotlight and he takes care of his family. He's going to be first ballot Rock Hall of Fame inductee in a couple of years.
There was a point where it was being said that Eminem saved the record industry with his album sales!
"Cleaning Out My Closet' is still one of my favorites of his storytelling songs.
“White America” is a good one from Eminem as well.
Sounds like a sell out
@@GreenClassified you need to listen to the song.
Eminem is a genius @ his craft
He is a poet for sure and he has learned so many lessons since back when he was so young
Eminem should make a movie (besides 8 mile) his creativity is top class.
For first time listeners, because he rhymes so fast, sometimes lyric videos are helpful with this gentleman. He is a lyrical genius.🤘❤️🇨🇦
Em is the 🐐. He is so talented. I love this song. I hope you are doing OK J. 😀
His live performance of this on the MTV Music Awards in 2000 is classic.
It was wild the impact this track and video had! It was naughty and shocking and subversive! I remember listening to it on the discman of an older kid on the way to a school trip on the school bus and being shook!
“Lose Yourself “, Eminem 👍
Shit, soooo mamy references in this vid to early 2000s it's awesome!
You Gotta checkout the rap band Eminem was in called D12 with "Purple Hills" that song was part of his 2000's nostalgia.
Also Eminem "My Name Is" and "Just Lose It"
A wordsmith of the highest order. His social commentary and critique is astonishing!
Spittin' it out and not giving a f***; delivering truth with biting humor and sarcasm - genius.
You should check out "The Marshall Mathers Album". I reckon it's one step up from this.
I might be an old white dude from Australia; but this shit is real!
wokka wokka!!
I’m not at all a fan of rap music but you can’t deny Eminem’s wit and creative talent - have to admire him
He does put comedy w his truth✌ n he is a survivor!!! He got beat up so bad by a fellow student it put him in a coma for a few days😔 came out, n went back to the same school🤨 so if he seemed angry, he was for a reason👊💥
Bro this was when Eminem was in his prime his first two albums that came out are a masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥
He definitely is the only Slim Shady, and there's only one Dr Dre! Together, they are hitbusters! 🔥 Fire.
He really knows how to spit those bars. He says what it is!
Stan featuring Dido next please!
That song introduced me to Dido and I went and bought her CD after that song.
@@tjl9458 me too!
Tom Green... lol.
"Bum Bum Bum Song (Lonely Swedish)" was a top request for MTV back in the early 90s.
8th grade me thought I was so cool listening to this. I loved this album.
He's truly a master poet and wordsmith 👏👏👏👏he says it as it is 👍
He was different to other rappers as instead of posing he poked fun at things. He was able to rage, be insulting, and talk about his mental instability because it was all done tongue in cheek and dressed up in great humour and entertainment. Even the sexist and homophobic content....well, it was still hard not to like the naughty boy cause in the next sentence he would make you spit out your drink in laughter. He had a terrific confidence and energy but wasn't trying to be cool or someone he wasn't. He opened the world of rap up to alot of people who wouldn't have tried it before (listeners and performers). The first time I saw him I thought he was gimmicky and a 1 hit wonder. How wrong I was...Incredible music and lyrics and the delivery is impeccable.
Hey just want to let you know that what you did to be able to post the video worked for me. A lot of times when reactors have to obstruct the video to post it something just seems "off" to me. For me at least you figured out the sweet spot.
I’m from Brazil and, though can understand the lyrics pretty well, the beat is THE THING!
I just realized that the record album covers on your wall great choice
Eminem 👇
"Godzilla"
"Rap God"
Guilty conscience with Dr Dre is a song I feel like you'd love 🙂
I have been a Slim Shady fan from the start, With that said EM is also good and always fun to hear.
There’s a video on utube of Eminem rapping the first bar to this song and Dre says . That’s it !! That’s all I Needed to hear . Signed him that day
My first exposure to Eminem. I was so surprised at the lyrics I damn near crashed my car. Great choice. This and "Without Me" are my favorites.
Appreciate this man eminem while he's here there will never be another again... 🐐
I'm 63 and I enjoy Eminem and Tom McDonald..that shocks alot of people but I think they're honest in what they say!!
Em is a creative and lyrical genius. Anyone who doesn’t like Eminem either has never listened to his music or they are haters. Cause once you listen, you know. There is no one else like him. The true GOAT!
Ahhhh Cory u heard of someone named 2pac??? That's the True GOAT!!!!!
@@timbowden5220 I’m with you, 2pac and Em are my all time favorites. He never does 2pac though. Maybe he has heard all those. Sad to think that Em has been rapping about as long as Pac was alive. Em has a bigger catalog, just because he is still here. If Pac was still alive, no doubt he would have sooooo many more songs.
@@coryevon6482 Pac still has more hits overall. And em's music is playedout. Most people don't want to hear em rap anymore.
@@coryevon6482 I will say thow. Em was a genius only when he was with Dr dre however
@@timbowden5220 agree to disagree. I’m happy to hear Em keep rappin. Genius with or without Dre. He may not be your cup of tea but he is a genius.
I am not a rap fan, but I live Eminem. His lyrics are genius, he tells a story, he has a sense of humor and his songs are catchy. He can out rap just about anyone (Godzilla).
What I love about Eminem is that he wraps about what other people are too afraid to wrap about. He opens up dissing Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband Tommy Lee because she claimed he was violent but he made it a joke. Then he killed Dr. Dre. The boys walking are imitations of *NSYNC. Everyone woman that he pretty much dissed basically dissed him. He made a lot of enemies with his song but that’s why he has so many fans. Godzilla and Rap God are great songs to check out. His song are very creative and so catchy.
You're so right. Even if you're not an Eminem fan, you have to appreciate his creativity.
He's a lyrical genius. I'd go so far as to say he's an all time great.
You must see 8 Mile!!!
Love this so much! You are so right. Even if you don’t like him, he is so creative and the hook of this song gets you singing along
been waiting for this one, song is great and the music video is even better
The man is on another level. Best reaction I’ve seen in months! 👍👍👍
He’s so clever, and so intelligent. One of those super talents. My brother loved him. ❤️ Eminem.
You might have done it already but if you haven't you should listen to his song, "Toy Soldiers", it's probably my favorite song of his. You should also check out the version of this song that he did on one of the music awards shows, I can't remember which one off the top of my head but it shouldn't be too hard to find lol. It was great though!
This is on my top ten play list. I love this one!
He played this for the MTV Video Music Awards one year. The show was amazing. You should definitely check out that performance of this song.
Omg... I just went and looked for it... that performance was TWENTY years ago. I feel SUPER old now. LOL
I am addicted to this! Love him! Forever! Welcome to Eminem…
OMG I just love Eminem, the guy is so creative and funny. Great reaction 😘 Love your channel 🧡
Jay, you need to see the clip of Dre describing how this song came about. Day 1 within MINUTES. It truly was INSTANT!!
I thought it was the song, My name is
Thanks for a great reaction
Eminem is my favorite rap artist because of his sounds and lyrics are so good.
Man so good to see your channel thrive.....subbed years ago... Sending love from London UK
MTV tried so hard to censor him lmaoooo!! I love his videos
I think he did this live at the MTV music awards and it was amazing
This the Eminem I grew up on!
he is a masterpiece, an good actor, his lyrics,,,lolololololo eminem hejp me so much when i have a mad day. i love him ,,,thank you yayvee for this video, it makes me happy
I’m uber late for this reaction. I so enjoyed watching you watch/react to it! I was 20yrs old driving with my friends when I first heard this track. We all just stopped talking and listened to this track in a hypnotized way if you will. There was NOTHING else like Eminem at the time! I still have all my 💿 ‘s that have been worn down/scratched up & they are priceless to me. Man those were the good ole days 💯!! This is probably my favorite track from the old school Em. Have a blessed weekend. 💙&✌🏼
I'm 59...my kids love that I enjoy Eminem!! He's so honest and creative!!
Now youve done it" ... more EM. You are not ready.
I was impressed when he came out with this song! It was my first time listening to him at the time when it came out. All of his tirades are to the point about main stream media, artists. you name it, he is on it, nobody is safe and he doesn't care if anyone becomes offended! He is great with the lyrics I must say and I'm sure others will agree too. There isn't anyone out there like Eminem!
Yet another entertaining video by Eminem 🎬📽 and a dope beat by Dre 🎧 💯
Dude is brilliance personified!
22 years ago folks......... *22* YEARS 😩
Edit - I'm a 44 year old Scottish woman, I hate rap music generally, but I remember when Eminem arrived on the scene, I could actually make out what he was saying, and it was hilarious, and catchy as hell, I bought his first cd, but my brother nicked it off me lol.
Damn so love Eminem hes an amazin rapper... love all his music so good to see u enjoyin his music too jayvee ✌✌✌
He's a freakin genius and this old rock chick has always thought so. And I'm a child of the 60s!! 100 years ago he would be in print, books of poetry. Or dead from starvation in a garret his genius undiscovered until after his demise!
Such a fun reaction!
I was lucky enough to see him live.. All can say is wow it was an awesome night..
Hes is one of the best hes very clever ,& he raps his life
He's a genius, lyrics, beats, performance 🎶 🎵
Fun! I was music teaching in a remote area when this was popular. The kids thought I was semi-cool because I could rap the chorus of this song. ❤️
Definitely like to see you react to some more of Eminem's older music like this, I guarantee you'll enjoy it...
Brings so much MTV nostalgia from early 2000s :)😭😭😭
One of the few rap songs I like. He did a song that he mixed an Areosmith and ACDC song together that I liked. I do have the movie about him also. But haven't really listened to much of his music, I just never could get into the rap... Thanks Jovaughn, hope you are doing well...AKA Lowrider.
In comparison to the mediocre rap and hip hop churned out today…Eminem is still a breath of fresh air. 🤗
guy was straight vibin' !
I’m glad you love this song ☮️
i love ur vids man!
I’m not the biggest Eminem fan ,but I always loved this
( and also the one he did with Ed Sheeran and also Ed Sheeran ,Eminem with dr Dre !)
Chills...brings me back.
M&M is very lyrically intelligent.
I'm not huge into his music but I don't mind it every now & again.
I lived in the Detroit suburbs for many years (I'm now in a different state), it took me forever to watch his movie 8 Mile. My hubs didn't want anything to do with it so I finally watched it on my own.
man this is awesome every time
Love how you love this
🔥🎶This was the sh*t for sure 🔥
