I'm so thankful that my mother's hair was never relaxed so I've been natural my whole life. I wear twists, puffs, buns (not slicked back/no laid edges). I'm grateful that I've been raised to know that my hair is beautiful- just the way it is.
the black woman and the black man is the original man and woman ..... they know that they are not....and so they try to place their insecurities on us.
Took me a while to love my natural hair.. most of the people who were shaming me were ones who looked like me 🤦🏾♀️ smh sometimes it be yo own people .. but I’ve been natural going on 4 years
Wow! The fact that the way my hair grows out of my scalp is really an topic or issue is just Sad in itself. Because I woke up with my 'kinky kurly' hair this morning some people are comfortable, Intimidated & Scared!?? But not scared enough to want to touch it or copy the look. #JustSaying
I was never told that my natural hair was unacceptable directly at work but it was definitely implied and I always found that extremely offensive. The people at some of my jobs assumed because I was mixed that I didn't claim my black side because of how I talk and carry myself . Not true at all. I actually love working from home because I don't have to deal with work place politics and gossip. I rock braids, my curly fro, and all kinds of natural styles unapologetically. I love how I can just wake up and go to work from home and not worry about ridiculous things like how my nonblack coworkers might feel "intimidated" by my hair
Marva Wilkins It's unbelievable that the discussion regarding 'Black' hair is still being had. When is it going to stop? Can those who have a problem with 'our' hair get pass this issue and focus on our Talents, Skills, and Beauty or just let to go. We're confident and comfortable in our skin. Maybe those who are still concerned about 'our' hair need to focus on themselves.
It's already against the law to discriminate on the basis of race or immutable characteristics, like hair texture. So this B.S. line about companies being able to discriminate based on hair patterns is either willful ignorance or a lie to make black people feel like victims.
Why is this show not diversified I don’t see another ethnic woman other than black. I don’t appreciate the fact that even the view has a black lady and this show is all black ladies. Not cool they need to DIVERSIFY.

I was told Hey, I love your hair 🤷🏾♀️ and more by them then us... US were the ones who was looking at my afro funny
In my experience...... Black men are the ones who hate natural hair and dark skin.
