cool video dude and yes youre right, hardly any helpful g8 vids out there. But just a friendly 2 cents, I would definately recommend disconnecting the battery when messing around with the airbag
danny Snt it is an Australian Holden VE Commodore with a different front end and left hand drive. Look up VE Commodore videos and you'll have all the videos you need. 😁
I'm not a hundred percent sure but it'll definitely throw a code when everything's back together that code May delete itself if not you need a special scanner to do so
Yeah that's what I was worried about was like some type of code but I have a scan tool that does ABS so it wouldn't be an i issue but if I can avoid it
Mate seriously THANK YOU I was stuck on this for ages and no other videos on it I hope you win the lotto you legend Hahahaha thanks again mate
😊
Good vid !, remember the G8 is the same as the Holden VE in Australia so many vids are compatible Regards :)
Good that our American Brothers take the time to do this stuff. Nobody down here bothers!

totally unrelated question to this but dies your car have the fe2 suspension eibach coil springs? is that the stock setup for a GT?
I have the Caprice ppv. Struts front and rear... on rear I got eibach springs and front H&R Springs
@@dannysnt7264 okay just wondering I have the fe2 with eibach springs
how do you take the silver trim pieces off? I am looking into replacing them with carbon fiber
For that you need to remove the airbag they are screwed on if you pull them out without removing the airbag you're going to break the plastic
You have other tips for removing the airbag, those spring bars?
It's not that difficult I watched a video on RUclips on a GMC Yukon or something similar to that the process was the same
@@dannysnt7264 took me a bit but I got it
@@Danielo197 That's good bro..u got it!
That part is giving me the worst time
@@domrayes7457 have you taken it out yet be patient get the right screwdrivers
Do you recommend me to be stationary for this or can i do it while cruising
Stationary

Keep trying bro.. It's a Lil hard but not I'm impossible
If I remove the airbag can I drive it a short distance if I have to
I'm not a hundred percent sure but it'll definitely throw a code when everything's back together that code May delete itself if not you need a special scanner to do so
I wouldn't recommend it but if you have to I don't see why you can't
Well of course for safety reasons
