    I wonder if there was more of an aggressive bend in the drag link would it clear the sway bar

    What steering stabilizer clamp do you have in the thumbnail photo? You don't address it in the video.

      Found it on amazon. I installed it and t immediatly rusted so I'm not recomending it. Its on my list to replace but since it's still holding I haven't been in a rush to do so.

    I'm still watching vid, so.maybe you mention it but we're you able to clear this steering with 16's? I'm about to order the steering, tires and wheels but need to know if I need 17's or if 16 inch steelies clear

    • @4HIGHGARAGE
      @4HIGHGARAGE  Год назад +1

      I didn't have anything other than the 17's I put on it so that will for sure fit. I've heard that 15's with some grinding of the back of the calipers will fit so the 16 will likely work. I just can only give it a good chance. You got a junk yard in your area? Might be able to pick up one rim to test.

    Nice video!! Do you think it would have cleared the sway bar link bracket if you would have ran the drag link under the knuckle? Thanks 🙏

      Good question that I should have answered in this video. I went and took another look and I do not believe it would have cleared even below the knuckle. And you would for sure have to also run the tie rod below the knuckle as there's not enough space to fit both between the two mount points on the knuckls. Thanks for the great question!

    How did you install the stabilizer in the thimb nail

      The link to the clamp I used is in the video description. However the bolts are already rusty so I'm not sure I would buy it again.

    The reamer is the better tool, but it needs to be done on a drill press or preferably a milling machine. Drilling by hand is a pain in the ass.

    One more question, i don’t know if it’s possible but do you think you can bolt the drag link on top of the pitman arm to get a better angle with the track bar? Thanks again

    • @4HIGHGARAGE
      @4HIGHGARAGE  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can. If you double check the video I have my drag link on top of the pitman arm and on top of the knuckle. This with a stock track bar produced little to no bump steer in my XJ.
