Thank you so much for watching my videos and be safe!
These films are almost 20 years old, and they look so much better than most films today. They really do age like a fine wine!
I saw Fellowship for my 15th birthday it's opening weekend
I watched them in theaters last year, and sadly, seeing them on the big screen, some of the cracks do start to show in the vfx. But you’re right, 90% of the vfx shots are rock solid and are so much more dynamic than anything being made right now.
This trilogy is possibly the single greatest achievement in cinema history.
@@samgraef3028 It's not just the vfx, it's also everything else: the story, the meaning/intentions behind its creation, the sheer dedication put into it, the production. All of these trumps most films today, which are often about identity politics and actually have no significance.
Gandalf: "You haven't aged a day"
I’ll drink to that. Cheers 🥂
So basically every other shot in the trilogy.
Pretty much. These movies are masterpieces ❤
That shot of the Nazgul descending through the clouds to Minas Tirith never fails to take my breath away.
Simply amazing
I wonder what people felt seeing that in cinemas in 2003
@@twinkthatloveslotrtrilogy7676 20 years have passed
We may never see another set of films as magical, epic, and enduring as the Lord of the Rings trilogy in our lifetime. They were lifetime experiences.
I really hope when we go further into the years, we will never forget lord of the rings. Forever and will be, my favorite trilogy of all time.
Bringing Lee and Howe on the project was a genius move from Jackson. They were the essential pillars of the book-to-movie translation
Good God. I had forgotten how good these film's looked.
I never forget. Because I have a photographic memory when it comes to movies. Plus, I watch the _LOTR_ trilogy once a year on my dad's birthday, to honor him after his passing.
I love that at 3:47 the calming and wholesome music plays while Frodo stares into the flaming eye of Sauron
😂😂😂
😂
Like you just found your long lost son 🥲
The King of the Masterpieces
Just watched them all in 4K and it was phenomenal
I want to watch the entire trilogy in 4k is there like a website for it?
i watched them 4k too today and i cried at the end
@Movies Taste thank you
@@Movies_TasteScammer!
I really find the explosion of the tower of the Eye of Sauron so fascinating. Best trilogy ever made!
Yes! The blast forms the shape of a ring.. a subtle but overwhelming detail
This films are one of the most beautiful cinematic pieces a person could ever watch.
Just recently watch the Trilogy last week, still the best movies since I ever watch it as a child
As far as sheer spectacle goes, I gotta say, I think these movies are still unmatched. Nothing in the past twenty years can hold a candle.
Maybe Train to Busan, but in a different way.
Maybe the raimi trilogy
@@tomytatopom5283 not even remotely close in my opinion, still a good movie tho.
I would say revenge of the sith but I remembered that it's only 16 years old, but then again, Jurasic Park, Spider man 2, Matrix, empire strikes back and John Carpenter's the thing, but I do agree Lord of the rings is a god darn masterpiece
The only trilogy that overall matches The Lord Of The Rings *in my honest opinion* is Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel, even though you need to watch other things in order to watch Heaven's Feel properly.
A lot of people could mention The Godfather trilogy but the last film is not that good. Other is The Human Condition trilogy but I haven't watched it yet, so I don't know.
I had my yearly marathon this last weekend.
Needless to say, tears still rolled down my face.. ❤️😢
Frodo tends to appear in the best close-ups of turning around at the camera.
Yeah~amazing shots
Mostly cuz he has the most expressive and beautiful eyes there. Also of course to show the emotions and struggle with the ring
I think what makes this Trilogy the best veer made is most of their locations are shot on real place. That's a really big factor in the immersion of audience and the feels of the movie itself.
2:29 A lot of the new HDR color treatment looks amazing, but really I'm disappointed at the new desaturation and vignette filters applied here to one of my favourite scenes.
The 4K versions of the film are a real letdown, unfortunately. The colours are inaccurate (an issue that’s plagued almost all blu-ray releases, unfortunately), and the film grain removal process makes the CGI look universally worse.
They also contain no more detail, due to not being true new scans of the film negatives. The HDR is the only good thing about them, visually.
Ur probably not watching on a good tv then, as the 4K versions are amazing
@@hxnrytaylor I wish that were true
Vignette is always an eyesore tbh I don’t know why anyone would add it
Got the chills watching that, beautifully done sir.
Thank you!
Those clips are in no specific order. Not synced to the music even. This should count as copyright infringement, nothing else.
Now, this is a real BEAUTY OF. I love LOTR SOO MUUUCCCHHH

You times the music to this shot perfectly
Absolutely beautiful
Gorgeous! One of my Favorite trilogies ever, amazing tribute, thank you.
Thank you my friend!
Those movies won 17 Academy Awards
Beautiful!! I must say, your editing is absolutely fantastic! I find myself coming back to your videos again and again for many of my favorite films. And now with my favorite trilogy of all time, you did not disappoint. Looking forward to the Hobbit Trilogy!
Thank you!
I honestly think this video is near perfect. I would have added that one shot near Buckleberry Ferry where the four Hobbits spot the Black Rider on the hill. Accompanied by the music it sends shivers down my spine.
Happy 20th to the Return of the King
A bunch of Artists (that's right, with a capital A) got together in the early 2000's and now we have this. THANK YOU.
Thank you for this brilliant video. I am a tremendous fan of the trilogy and I can safely say that you did it justice.
One cinematographer to rule them all.
I'm in theaters for the fellowship of the ring
RIP Andrew Lesnie
ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL AND MAGICAL!🤩😍 the MASTERPIECE!!!
Literally every scene could fit in this video. What a masterpiece these movies are. I own the extended editions of all 3. Each one is 4 hours long. I've watched all 3 in a 12 hour marathon a hundred times over the years. It never gets old.
Over 20 years later, these films are still pure cinema.
I have always dreamt of living in this type of Magical Fantasy land filled with magic, faries and other mystical creatures. I wish if there exist a way to fulfill my dream.
Es increible que se conserve tan bien siempre sera mi saga favorita
Why am I just discovering this channel?
I showed my best friend who loves Harry Potter this video and after that she wanted to watch the movie
Made her a fan
I feel grateful for you. Phenomenal!
I feel so lucky to witness this masterpiece in my generation
I think the Hobbits theme is the best expression of the feeling of nostalgia. Everything in it reminds you of the shire
So beautiful best films ever made and one of the greatest achievements in art ever created ❤
My favorite movies of all time...
wow, that score in the background mixed with those amazing shots nearly brought me to tears..
In retrospect: why does this video make it feel like lotr is just a fantasy version of titanic lol? haven't seen lotr, is it like that? XD
of Titanic? lmao this is an interesting comparison
you should definitely check it, with a friend too. I wish I could have seen it for the 1st time again
“You’re late”
An editor is never late nor he is early he arrives precisely when he means to... (Btw iam late too🙃)
This was a spectacular selection. Thank you.
Thank you Andrew.
Wow, amazing!
Always gimme goosebumps
Thank you, now i have to screenshot all seconds of the video
LOTR is my fav movie trilogy
I heard that they might rerelease sometime this or next month
Very good job! 👍👌👏
I’d really recommend watching these while high. It changed me I swear 😅
This video is a gem
Greatest franchise of all time
8:28 one of my favourite shot
Реально Удивительные кадры!
Beautifully made video. LOTR trilogy is one of the greatest trilogy ever made. Can you make a video on tom cruise oblivion movie. It's is also very beautiful movie.
It's on my list
@@AmazingShots great👍👍👍

Beautiful
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL
Welp, time to watch ‘em again!
Yup, what an adventure this was
I just don’t get it. How do you wake up one day and decide to make the coolest thing ever?
incredibly well done..thank you. Though Faramir is sadly unrepresented
My younger cousin and I are rewatching the trilogy and we just got to the Battle of Helm's deep, and I was commenting that the part where Gandalf banishes Saruman from Theoden and you see him return to his actual, younger self..the effects on that are still incredible. These movies are like the original Jurassic park. The effects still hold up, and they're all around just fantastic movies! Can't say I feel the same about the Hobbit trilogy, unfortunately.
For Frodo
Epic music starts playing...
Best Film Trilogy Of All Time!!!
woah
Goddamn it. Gonna have to buy a 4k tv now.
Please make a video about Amazing shots of "Exodus : Gods and Kings".
Let's rest now, in the Shire.
فيديو رائع و ممتع 👍🏻❤️
17 oscars...damn im geting old
Maybe I cried a little
What about Arwen riding away from the nine!!!!
Love your videos and your channel! If I can give you an advice I would make a video about 1917. That movie is full of amazing shots!
1917 is already on the channel. But the video is blocked in some countries. Use VPN to see it.
@@AmazingShots Oh! Didn't know that! Thank you for the information!
Did you use the new 4K restoration?
Yes
i love the lord of the ring
Let's hope Amazon will stand up to he challenge and deliver us something no less spectacular.
I just hope they use the actual materials Tolkien wrote, because I fear they would be making up a lot of stuff to make it more like GOT.
Let’s hope it’s not Game of Thrones
🤡🤡🤡
Um...
@@tsopmocful1958 Yeah... :(
👁👄👁
Could you make some Denis Villeneuve videos?
Are these shots from the new 4K release? Or if not then which?
Yes
@@AmazingShots Cool. Glad I found your channel. Instant subscribe.
The new 4K is better in some shots, but the CG stands out more☹
Where's the Water Horse scene? It's a classic and it's a sin to let it out.
Just upload the 3 movies completely. The entire movies are just good shots.
This and Star Wars are truly the greatest pieces of cinema ever. Fight me.
Way Better than the crap Amazon one!
Hell yeah. Anyone who likes that one is not a true Tolkien fan
@@pipsgirlfriend755 yess
whz zou dont put the whole trilogz in this video this is all amaying
You need some old films on here, my man. How do you have a channel called Amazing Shots and have no videos at all from Jack Cardiff, Sven Nykvist, Freddie Young, Wexler, Storaro, Szigmond, Surtees, Almendros, Miyagawa, James Wong Howe, etc...???
I wonder how long it takes to make such a video...
1 week
is it even possible to beat LotR?
Star Wars
@@DayTripperrr not gonna lie Star Wars can’t even get in the same league as LOTR
@@oofzma4302 Star Wars 1-6 just accomplished so much more than LOTR better story ( not just people walking for 12 hours),better characters no one was perfect and everyone had problems not just totally good guys killing totally bad guys better acting everyone is great and irreplaceable and obviously the visual storytelling George Lucas the Genius and it completely changed the way movies were made Star Wars were the greatest movies ever made
@@DayTripperrr everything u said about the characters was wrong, legitimately so wrong in fact that it hurts my brain. Star Wars have the most bland, stupidly powerful, unbelievably underdeveloped characters on planet earth. (Except Luke). What the actual fuck does Han Solo do other than look cool. What does Princess Leia do other than creepily kiss his brother. In LOTR the characters have emotion, grief and sadness. They grieve, they actually have feelings. Jesus Christ one of the main characters basically dies at the end because of the aftermaths of war and PTSD. And your telling me that all the characters were perfect. I really don’t care if the effects were groundbreaking for the time or how big an impact it had on sci fi, it is impossible for me to one hundred percent take Star Wars seriously, but with LOTR it is completely different. And btw, visual storytelling my arse. Just a couple puppets playing instruments, I didn’t even create its genre, 2001: A Space Odyssey did. And man the acting in Star Wars 1-3 is laughably bad it’s funny, even comparing the first three Star Wars to LOTR is laughably invalid even your own fans would agree with me, if u really think that episodes 1-3 are better than LOTR than nobody can trust u on anything movie related, just saying
@@oofzma4302 wow you really don’t understand Star Wars and it’s Beautiful Visual storytelling the use of color shadows clothing makeup and cinematography and the only thing you say is puppet Yoda what a dumb thing to say but not surprised which by the way was amazing for you even to say that the characters in Star Wars are bland when all the characters except for Boromir are the same and don’t forget the gay hobbits Anakin,ObiWan,and Yoda all suffer PTSD for gods sake there’s a video about ObiWan having it with millions of views Han killing Greedo,Han saving Luke, shooting at Vader, one liners with C3po and the Ewoks(all of his lines on Endor) and Leia bringing peace to the Galaxy (did you watch the movie) don’t be jealous because Star Wars is more successful The prequels and especially Revenge of the Sith are a million times better then LOTR The prequels actually had a story worth telling

people throw around the word timeless a lot to movies that don’t deserve it. i see a lot of people calling man of steel ahead of its time, and although i like it, it definitely isn’t. this trilogy is the fucking definition of timeless. everything about them, except maybe a few low frame rate slo mos, holds up today.
Present Hollywood movies are not great
Hobbit trilogy ???
Life if pi? The lion king live action?
Most overrated series ever 🔥
So … the whole trilogy!
