decided to post a video on this one after watching one on Cinnabars videos on repairing the exact same spring that was broken on mine. a little bit closer look
That is a fantastic revolver! Thanks for showing it. You really should shoot it at least about two cylinder fulls in memory of your grandfather and video it as a record for yourself and to show it in action. Fine treasure you have there.
What an absolutely beautiful old pistol. What a joy to inherit something like this. So glad to hear you were able to find parts and get it running again. Had heard of Coopers before, but didn't realize they were double action. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Hi, I have a Cooper is sad condition, mostly just parts, I found it in a Ghost Town. Found the barrel, frame & handle frame, it has a hammer , no cylinder. Mine has a longer barrel. They are RARE!
Hello, i am looking for information about mechanism of this revolver. They are very rare, and i have not found any photos of internal parts on the web. I have patent scans, but they are unclear about few details. Could you show the trigger assembly? Or even take it all apart, and show all parts and how they work? From what i noticed there are 2 variants of mechanism - 1st and 2nd model. Also second model had spare single action only hammer, so it's even more confusing.
Next time I take it apart, I will make a video, but that could be some time. Would be interested in seeing any info or links about the single action hammer. Did not realize they existed.

I may just pack it along next time I go to the range.

It’s certainly conceived as a double-action version of the Colt 1862 Pocket Navy-really beautiful design!
Thank you.

Sounds like a great find, I would love to find and old relic gun like that.
There is still lots of little treasures hiding in the hills!
Looks like a double action version of the Colt Pocket Navy. That’s neat!
Beautiful Peace

Do you still have the address to buy parts? I have a Cooper 1849 31 caliber.
