Yes man. Liked and subscribed Ive been making making designs very similar to this using Yew Selfbow staves Doing Asian designs on my channel at the moment. Good hunting
@Charlie-Ess-In-Italia thank you my man. I had a feeling there would be at least a bit of Yew appreciation out there. I should probably stop messing about and do some proper edits. Many thanks again
No, but he seriously considered making it a retirement business at one point. Now, he makes them for his kids and his grandchildren--and luckily has enough time to squeeze me in here and there. We hunt together and hang out together through the year; so it's a really magical friendship!
ive got couple long bows , but in the end i hunt w bear kodiak magnum recurve , 48# @ 28 do to the short length its 52 inches w is better to me for hunting
Oh I might have the same little Kodiak Magnum bow at 50 pounds! It has green dyed wood for the riser and dark green limbs. Sound familiar? I put a reel on mine with a fish arrow and shoot pike under the ice in my spearhouse during winter.
Imo the longer a longbow is the more forgiving it is, stop worrying about speed and be more concerned about shoot ability and quietness. Most of today’s traditional archers have abandoned the Dacron strings for the speed of ff or d97 and are constantly trying to quiet their bows. Dacron is also easier on limb tips
Thanks for the video man
Thank YOU for watching!!

Yeah, I have pretty much made the transition from d97 back to good 'ol Dacron.
