How to Cook Chicken Sotanghon Soup

- This video will show you how to cook a Filipino chicken noodles soup known as Chicken Sotanghon.
Here are the ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs. chicken breast
1 piece Knorr Chicken Cube
2 1/2 ounces sotanghon noodles
7 cups water
1 piece dried bay leaves
1 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
1 piece carrot julienne
1/2 cup chopped scallions
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 piece onion, chopped
5 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons roasted garlic
Fish sauce and ground black pepper to taste
3/4 cups annatto water
3 tablespoons cooking oil
Pro tip: wag nyo ihalo ung sotanghon sa sabaw para maiwasan masipsip. I bukod nyo ng laga ung sotanghon, then lagyan nalang ng sabaw if kakainin na.
ETO ANG TAMA.
Binabad muna sa tubig ng konte ang Sotanghon so it won't absorb the Soup mix bago ihalo sa Pot.
Boss tagalogin mo yung ibang recepi katulad ng celery stalk, may iba hindi na intindihan kung ano yan katulad ko.. O mag suggest ka kung kailangan ba meron yan o kung may alternative
simula nag asawa ako itong panlasang pinoy lahat ng napapanuod ko dito nagagaya ko kaya tuwang tuwa ang asawa ko at marunong nako magluto salamat sa panlasang pinoy sa pag sshare ng iyong mga niluluto

Ok Na po Sana kung pure chicken stocks coming from the chicken wag Na gumamit Ng cubes Kc masasanay mga Tao gumamit nyan ,, tip kO din po mas maganda kung UNG anato seeds cooking oil ang ilalagay or pwede lutuin atleast 1 minute Sa low heat,.. No need to add chicken cubes ok Na po sir salt and black pepper., ok din po fish sauce... Salamat

Oh please alam naman namin yun .. iniendorse lang po yun, nasa sa iyo na kung gagamit ka o hindi.
Pag kagisa ng manok bska Pwede n I sunod ang Patis para kapit ang lasa. Then salt (and pepper) to taste sa huli. 👍🏽

My mom used to cook Chicken Sotanghon soup for New Year’s eve. Since she can no longer cook, much less remember recipes due to advanced Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, I’m glad you posted this video last month. I added a couple of steps and twists myself. However my slightly different version turned out very tasty. I just wished I had time to bake puto or sponge cake which goes so well with this soup recipe. I didn’t add celery. In place of it, I added dried mushrooms my mom used to call “tenge ng daga”. I used Swanson’s chicken stock instead of Knorr cubes. A lot of fried chopped garlic and crisp sweet cabbage added in prior to eating....aaah...bellisima...Sharap!

Heard this tip from a chinese friend: When boiling, do not put on the lid and trap the chlorine with the food. When water has boiled, the chlorine will evaporate into the air and then you can cover with the lid.
