    Brilliant. Thank you so much for this Justin... I'm definitely going to purchase your package. Quick question... if one where to create a 3-D model using the front facing 2-D trees and plants... would it be necessary to place top view 2-D plants at the same locations in order to have a working plan view?

    Awesome video! I only have free and I know a lot of options are not available; however, it's great to watch and see what is available for add-ons and downloads.

    Hi. Instead of layering tress can we just simply hide them?

    A great introductory to landscape with Sketchup, and it was very helpful. Are you aware of any sources on RUclips that address Sketchup for landscape architecture exclusively?
    Thank you in advance...

      I know Daniel Tal wrote a book specifically on SketchUp for Landscape Architecture, but I don't know of any resources that focus on it exclusively...

    Don't you think these landscape textures are quite disappointing? Compared to all the great textures on architecture and such this is not what I am looking for. I do appreciate the effort you put into this.

      You know, I've never really done a lot with landscaping, so I've never really thought about it. You could probably download some other textures from a website like this one - www.sketchuptexture.com/p/grass.html - That being said, I think breaking up the textures with actual plants and other landscape items (walls, etc) is going to be more important than getting a higher resolution grass texture - it will offer the eye more interest (I think). Like I said, I'm not really a landscape architect :) - Thanks for watching!

      All you have to do is add textures using the paint tool and then render it. It's all in the rendering program that use really.

      Like...what kind of farm? For what purpose? Is something wrong with SketchUp for this application?

    actully there is a method to replace the 2d trees by right click and replace model , so u dont have to erase it .

    • @Thesketchupessentials
      @Thesketchupessentials  7 лет назад +1

      That's a great point! I didn't really think about it, but you can definitely replace those trees with 3D models by replacing them - thanks for the comment!

    Why about hedges
    I need a lotta hedges for my project
    There is nothing good in 3d warehouse nor in lumion

    It does not work that way. Landscape must always be uneven, but with you everything is at 0 degrees.
    If you make a lesson out of this, do it close to the application, because as you drew, it receives the lowest grade at the university and from the client.
