That's the issue with Ford's in most years great vehicles if you take care of them with good oil especially on turbos and don't over do the transmission, but they are quite overpriced, base model Ford escapes are more pricey than a base model Toyota RAV4, that makes no sense. Love yah Ford, but know your place hun.
i plan on buying one simply for my budget looking at used ones. I am going to get a 2020 titanium and i prefer it over the other options in this class.
Hope you are able to do a test and review of the ST model. Whole different animal! Had my heart set on the st line. Then I drove the ST! No comparison! STBEAST!
I bought my wife a 2022 ford edge ST. It has the 401a package and everything about this vehicle we like. There is nothing on the market that compares to it.
Next Ford Edge ST is ALL ELECTRIC!!!! I have the 2023 ST and really like it. Might purchase a 2024 also just because the 2023 is the last gas-powered version. But Ford unveiled the 2025 EV Edge and Ford Explorer remodels in CHINA!!!! WOKE FORD LOVES CHINA. My wife has the 2022 Lincoln Nautilus, and loves it. Too bad that these Ford and Lincoln models will be our LAST purchases ever from Ford. Going to buy out these vehicles when our Leases run out and "call it a day" as far as future Ford purchases are concerned. Solid review!!!!!! Well done. B
My 2014 Edge Limited has basically the same features(with better wheels) then this 2024. I appreciate the the better sound system and doing away with the Sony system, but this feels overpriced. I ended up going with a Subaru Outback Wilderness for a true AWD.
The Edge isn't listed on Ford's future vehicles list; so the 2024 model is the likely the last. If Edge comes back, I bet it will be an Electric platform.
You're kidding, right? Most of the time you get domestic discounts from Ford, and this is a substantial SUV with a strong base engine and a ride quality only surpassed by a BMW X5. You pay for what you get. If you want cheap than get a Nissan, KIA, or Hyundai. Or a Ford Escape.
@mrgurulittle7000 wow, you just continue to live in your fantasy world and show your true young age of about 10-15 years old. The Edge will continue to live on as the Lincoln Nautilus and the factories where it was built in Canada will be converted to making EV's. The Edge nameplate continues to live on in China and Asian markets. You really need to go to school.
Nice review, but Edge is an unreliable platform that Ford has neglected since this generation came to market. *I* would look at Hyundai/Kia, Chevy, Buick or Mazda equivalints.
Have you ever driven a crv or rav 4. I drove all 3 and there is no comparison. The edge is a far cry from the girly man crv or rav 4. Both are so wimpy compared to the edge!
@@jamesparrish9613Edge is overrated rubbish. At least the Escape comes in a hybrid. Anything that isn’t hybrid is dead in the water. Also, the CRV and RAV4 are cheaper than the Edge, and a lot fresher and more reliable. There’s no reason for the Edge to exist anymore.

Ford Edge 2024 is a piece of junk. Bought a brand new car and engine noise is so loud. Dealer gave a test ride on good car while the one delivered has loud engine noise within 100Kms. Called another dealer who says these cars make engine noise and thts normal. Ford cost cutting engineers removed engine cover as well as the lining from hood. Pathetic experience to buy this loud junk. Wish I could sell it right after 1000 KMs. Horrible experience driving with such a loud engine noise as if something is going to burst.
@mrgurulittle7000 2,700,000 Ford Edges were built in Canada. Ford is selling out of Edges on all lots in 2024 and begging customers to look at the Lincoln Nautilus because they are selling out of Edges and won't be able to fulfill orders. Again, please go to school and stop pretending you know about cars. You are embarrassing yourself.
@@SaraK_69How many Edges were made was NOT my point. Escape sells 1.5x more and it’s expected for Escape sales to grow. Meanwhile Edge sales fell 30% from its peak.
@mrgurulittle7000 , you still haven't looked up Consumer Reports or any car review of the Escape vs Edge. The Edge wins every time, even with the NEW Escape; ratings are so poor that nobody buys the Escape, except for rental fleets.
I always liked Edge, but always thought it was over priced. Thanks for the review.
I totally agree with you

Edge is way too overpriced. An Escape could be justified with the hybrid model.

It's a solid choice!
I had to hurry up and buy 24' Ford Edge now.
I got that for my rental, fully loaded, nice!

I must hurry up and buy 24' Ford Edge now.
I hear that it isn't being discontinued. Third gen coming next year, total re design.
March 2024 is the supposed final date for the us at least. China will keep the name with a chinese domestic only car
I bought my wife a 2022 ford edge ST. It has the 401a package and everything about this vehicle we like. There is nothing on the market that compares to it.
Picking one up Thurs
R.I.P. Edge.
Twin turbo should have been offered in the titanium trim on this size vehicle.

That’s my car!
Middle screen is obnoxiously large... never been a fan of their gauge cluster either. Other than that's it's a nice car.
Escape is a better overall package. The Edge is getting discontinued soon.
Actually the navigation was 3 years but they cut it to one year for 2024.

Pricing ....I didn't see any pricing?
It was towards the beginning of the video 👍🏻
Awesome suv. Bigger inside than its competition. Drive one- hurry they are going away😢
The Edge desperately needs a redesign. What the hell is ford waiting on?
The Edge isn't listed on Ford's future vehicles list; so the 2024 model is the likely the last. If Edge comes back, I bet it will be an Electric platform.
Sadly Ford thinks the Edge can be replaced by the Bronco and Escape. *sigh* Guess I need to shop Audi now.
@@SaraK_69Escape killed Edge LMAO!🤣
@mrgurulittle7000 little boy, go to Middle School, make mommy happy.
Edge interior is pretty boring, very limited new features added through generations of same models.. anyways thanks for the review content
Edge is a boring car. The Escape is a much better deal and hence why it’s a bigger seller.
Am I missing something are people independently wealthy or am I just not making enough money?
Too much money. Is Ford crazy?

Wow. How sadly sexist for a younger person to think and say. Women CAN own and use drills, and men CAN own and use hair products ya know.
100% true! I think you may be reading a bit too much into that statement tho! 😆

$45K for this pile of garbage 😂
Garbage indeed
Why not just get a crv or rav 4? They are so much better
