The Ford Edge is being discontinued because the Canadian plant where there were assembled is being converted into a plant to make EVs. Ford may wish to rethink that.
They don't sell is another huge reason. Most dealers around here are marking them $13K below MSRP. If the Edge sold so well, why are most of them sitting in rental car fleets?

I couldn't find it either my granddaughter had to show me and now I still can't find it again. Ford should have put where it would be more visible
I don't know why Ford would get rid of this model. I have a 2022 and I love mine.

They're doing a ground up re-design like they did in 2019 and the new models will be heavily influenced by EV options.
I just leased a 2024 Edge ST-Line. It will be interesting to see what they modify.

I have a 2021 Edge - looks identical to this 2024. We have had no problems with the car other than the occasional glitch with the Sync entertainment system going out. In my area, we frequently see Edge models on the road. Ford's decision to discontinue will push away many loyal customers.
I had a 2008 Ford Edge I drove until 225,000 miles. I currently have a 2015 with 139,000 and still going strong no issues. I will be purchasing a new edge before years end!
Production of the Ford edge will stop spring 2024 so if you want a new one buy now while there is still a selection. I got this information directly from the Ford factory rep. I was going to wait until the spring to buy my new edge but when I got this news, I immediately bought a 2024 this month (Jan).

Picked up my 2024 Edge ST last week (Jan 2024). Wanted to order one but was told factory not taking any more orders. They are building until they run out of parts then stop…..probably Spring 2024. Dealer found what I wanted at another dealer and did a trade to get it for me. Good incentives right now and 0% financing. If you want a new Edge, buy now.
I have a 2015 Edge, i bought used 4 years ago $4000 cheaper than same year Equanox. It feels so much bigger inside than the Chevy. Has a big car ride and feel. Only spent money on brakes,oil changes,tires. 120,000 mi. and runs great.

You’re paying for the technology. The more technology you want, the higher the cost. There is a lot of extra features that can be left out. I have a 2014 Edge that is on the low end model. Lacks a few creature comforts, but works for me.
About how high are you sitting in drivers position? Higher than a Subaru? It's really nice. Peace.

Word is the Oakville Ontario plant will be switching later next summer. I think that's why the 2024 are already rolling off the line.
What will they be building instead of the Edge?

I drive A SEL2020 in Germany Subway s, i really enjoy this big Car, it cans carry 4or 5 persons comfort with Luggage for a long distance..

Love my 2016 Edge SEL! Bought new from the showroom floor and has 121k miles now. If I had my 2007 Edge I’d probably buy one of the 2024s. However, I’ll probably just enjoy not having a car payment for awhile lol.

Regarding price, my 2019 Edge ST was about $10,000 more, for essentially a fully loaded SUV.
Well I had driven couple of Ford cars with this dial gear. There were multiple times when I accidentally put it on parking while going like 5 miles per hour and it stopped. So just careful with it.

I have the same car, however there is kind of high pitch rattling sound coming drom the front, i was told it’s the fuel injector that are loud in the ecoboost engine. I am not sure if it’s my unit or uniform across the line ?
Normally rattling with Ecoboost engines mean you have cam phaser issues
I just bought a 2024 Edge SEL 2 weeks ago. Heavy car for it's size, so it rides nice. Good sound dampening, so it's quiet inside with the windows up. Fuel mileage is extremely poor for a small 4 cylinder in a small vehicle this size though. My 2016 F150 with an 8ft bed and a large v6 gets the same mpg as this small car... Averaging 23 mpg in both vehicles. But it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, happy with the purchase. It's hard getting used to the funky windshield wipers going in opposite directions, that is strange to me. The center console is tiny in my opinion. It's deep, but only a few inches square. I have to put my sunglass case in there vertically. Then the console storage is half full. I have prescription sunglasses, I'm not comfortable putting them in the roof sunglass holder. As for legroom in the back, put a tall driver in there and then check. I'm 6'4", the seat is all the way back for me to be comfortable. Only a child could fit in the back seat. there might be 8-10 inches max

I can't believe the 2023 Escape has a beautiful modernized digital cluster not this old analog speedometer. This is a 2024 not a 2004. Almost a show stopper for me.
I agree. I just got a 2024 Edge SEL and when I saw the dial (I was upgrading from a 2020 Ford Escape SE) I couldn't believe it. But at least you can set the left dash panel to digitally show the speed. Otherwise it's a great car.
I personally prefer analog and I have heard it is expensive to make analog speedo than an LCD

Small 4 cyc turbo higher mileage reliability, YUK!
I’ve got 180000 on my 2015 edge and still strong. The 2.0 turbo is very reliable in my opinion.

Supposedly, yes
No. The Edge will receive a ground to roof re-design like they did in 2019. The emphasis will be on EV, and I'm sure there will be more of an interior upgrade since it hasn't changed much since 2019.
Per Ford factory rep, Edge will be discontinued model in mid-2024.
