I like this way of changing so you don't have to disturb/weaken the motor connections and replace silicone. I think you mentioned you had to extend the wires on the lift button?
John Hovan yes, so i could lay the shell flat on its back. otherwise the motor stop wire will only allow you a 90 degree vertical position of the shell due to wire length
@@rayrokni I supported mine today at 90 degrees. Changed the tube. If you have a size on the replacement size on the screws, those philips heads feel mushy.
Hi Ray, I’ve been watching this video for years for my msp tire changes, lol. I just noticed a crack right where you put that “big washer”. Do you know where I could get one of those? Thanks, take care, Paul
I noticed that you had a white patch near the battery on the casing as you were replacing it at reassembly, did you have a repair made to your casing? I’ve just received my pedal bracket strengthened from Murland, they are of superb quality, came with excellent replacement Allen headed screws, and all look very strong, will be fitting them soon. Greetings from Scotland!
hi, the white piece you see is a basically big washer to protect inner shell from cracking around the hangar bolt holes. you can just use normal thick washers to achieve same results.
Thank you for sharing the video 👍 Is it the same knobby tire as the Sherman? I have an extra knobby tire for Sherman and thought about putting it on my son's Gotway RS. Do you know if the tires will fit the RS? Thank you! 🙂
Where did u get the power screwdriver please?? I'm trying to fit a new tyre on my Msuper 84v any advice please? 😊 👍 That's an awesome tyre👍 how is it on flat surfaces?
take your time! you don’t want to punch the inner tube and have to do it all over again. so i tend to really take my time if i’m using metal levers. you can try the zip tie method. do a googled search tire change using zip ties.
With respect to the screws… did you change just the screws or did you change the parts that the screw treads into as well? Asking cuz im waiting for my msp in a few weeks
Hi great video, at 5:35 you removed a plate that holds the shell to the footplate hanger, does that come as standard on the MSP or was it installed separately? If separately where can I get it please? Thanks.
@@rayrokni thank you. We are in touch but its confirmed these brackets won't work for the new gotway RS so, ill be waiting till his RS turns up and he'll see what could be done
@@igorgoga7985 yes i disconnected the motor wires and hall sensor. be very careful disconnecting the hall sensor since they put a lot of silicone on the connector. use an exacto knife and very carefully cut the silicone holding the connector. do not be in a hurry. then carefully rock the connector side ways and up. hold the connector only, make sure you are not pulling from the wires. make sure you take notes or picture of the sequence of motor wires. you don’t want to connect them wrongly. make sure the hall sensor is reconnected firmly in place upon reinstalling everything. if you don’t want to do this then just try from the left side, as i do on MSP.
@@rayrokni I am afraid if the disconnect button wires are too short- what if I won't be able to open the shell. You extended button wires by soldering extra length pls?
@@igorgoga7985 they are thin wires. i used butt connector with solder in it. all you do is heat up the connectors and it melts the solder. i believe i have a video on them
Awesome! After completing this video when do I get my certificate in the mail since I'm now certified replacing the MSP? That tire change was not bad like the Sherman wheel that Kuji did to replace a street tire from the knobby one that came with the factory. I still want that wheel though. Great video my friend. I learned a lot.
Found one with the same dimensions and fitted today using this technique was SO MUCH EASIER! Took a few miles for tire to bed in and level off and now all is well! Many thanks !
Just replaced my MSP tire yesterday evening. I opened it up same way you did. I went with shinko 244 2.75-14 tire so I had to shave both the tire and the shell. Enjoy your new tire and thanks for the video.
Thank you so much for sharing this Ray, to help people. You're a good man.👍

Thanks man. Murland Fish used to make them for the msp. Send him a dm on Facebook, he may still have some.
Always a good idea to put some talc in the tyre so the tube doesn’t stick to it

murland fish used to make them but not any more. you can use wider washers and longer bolts to achieve same purpose.
Hey Ray, thank you for the reply. I will give that a shot.
This is a great tip not to touch the right side controller and motor wires! Can it be done on the RS as well you think? Thak you!
yes it can be but you probably have to extend motor stop switch wires as i did in msp. on my rs i found it easy to just drop motor from shell.

What size Phillip screwdriver do I use to get those screws out?
i use a milwaukee number 1 and i push down on the screw as to not stop it. get brand name bits, they are worth it.
yes. milwaukee is just the brand name i use

At 5:00 you were removing a cover that protects the headlights, where can I get that please.
i had them 3d printed for me by a friend. look on a few dealers web site, they may carry similar in stock.
